I wonder what his story really is. I wonder if he had to come out of retirement to get some good old Guvmint Health Care. Sad to see that we are sending our old folks who should be peacefully retired off to fight in our Wars for us.

RIP dude.

Oh well. He should have gotten a job as a wal-mart greeter. I wonder if he was a republican?

He damn sure wasn't a bleeding heart lib.

The older more distinguished NCO's of our nations Military carry experience, know how, and years of service that they pass onto the newer generation. Professional devoted soldiers are the backbone of our service, it takes years to make them who they are, I am sorry he lost his life in his service, what a waste of a good soldiers life.

I am sure his unit will feel their loss as well as the family he left behind.

He must have been one hell of a man to come out of retirement after all those years of service to sign up to go fight again. Not many people strong enough nor devoted enough to be able to do that. Thank you.

Sad to see that we are sending our old folks who should be peacefully retired off to fight in our Wars for us.

What a cold-hearted SOB you are, donnerboy.

Why would you pick the most unlikely? To just be mean?

What an ass.

"He damn sure wasn't a bleeding heart lib"

Actually what is a waste is letting you stay in this country.

Soon, we will be asking our less effective and less productive citizens to leave so that more productive immigrants can come in.

Another US Military hero KIA...

I don't agree with this war, but I have/will always support the soldiers who risk life and limb to fight it. And, I have/will always mourn their deaths. It's a loss to us as a nation as we peel another layer of innocence from our collective souls...

R.I.P. Jose, thank you for your lifetime of selfless service, fighting for that, which most of us Americans are unable, or unwilling to fight for ourselves...

eddie, go mow my lawn. i'll give you a quarter.

Soon, we will be asking our less effective and less productive citizens to leave so that more productive immigrants can come in.

"I've earned everything I own and helped you get the public housing you live in"

Translation: no more payments on the double-wide and he had his mullet cut off once for charity...

Nice trolling session Nerf.

When you get older, a little more experience, and start having responsibility, you realize that your Liberal beliefs are just too expensive.

Doing what is right always costs more than doing what is easy.

Washboard, try something interesting. yer just as anonymous as me, you stain.

Eddie, Keith Olbermann is a doofus, as is every other outspoken democrat/liberal, including your beloved anti-christ obama. But that being said, they don't stack up half as high in the "clueless fucking idiot" department as the majority of republicans, which are probably those you look up to the most.

i'm young and i will be getting a big wad of dough from my uber-conservative dad that I didn't earn, but hey, its tough spending it all.

i'm a capitalist thru and thru,
so to me mine and to yours: fuck you!

Whoa, wrong thread.

I trust most folks would want to thank him for his service to our country.

OohRah, like you, I too have a son who is in the service. He's a sargeant in the army. He did 2 yrs in iraq and is currently state-side. It is unknown whether he will have to go back or not.

He may not have to go back because he got a new job, which is some kind of Joint Civilian Police/Military Police investigation unit. It sounds pretty sweet. He reports directly to the Base Commander but works with the local detectives when a crime is committed by a military personnel, which happens quite a lot on a large base.

To me, it's just a job they are doing, a very dangerous job. If I try to look at it like it's some kind of moral crusade for a noble ideal, I am pretty sure my fucking head would explode. And by the same token, I cannot say this is 'service to our country' either, because our country and our military are not (supposed to be) a tool of corporations. That is what Iraq is, a corporate business operation with our military providing security.

I mean no disrespect to your son or my son or their career choice. I encouraged my son to join because I believe in the military.

But it's time for the lies to stop. This ain't about terrorism or Osama Bin Laden or bringing democracy or fighting naked agression. This is about oil. And believe it or not, I'm okay with that. I just want people to admit it.

My brother, also a Vietnam vet (Army, 2 tours), celebrated his 58th Birthday in Iraq serving with his National Guard unit (his daughter was also serving her second tour in Iraq at the time). He has since reached the mandatory retirement age for the guard and is now safely enjoying his semi-retirement in Northern Michigan.

Of course it's about oil. That's not a bad thing. Oil is truly the lifeblood of civilization. And oil is not just about driving around in the Tahoe -- less than half is used for transportation.

Oil is the essential ingredient in materials, pharmaceutical, and a million other things. I think that keeping civilization functional is a mighty noble undertaking.

Sure, they don't look like enemies from the past (nations) but they are a threat to the civilized world and must be confronted.

'Confronting' terrorists is easy. STOP SUPPLYING THEM WITH WEAPONS AND MONEY!!!!

Here is the way it works. We need to go into an area, for whatever reason. We go to that area, in advance, and secretly funnel resources into some radical faction in that area.

Then we build them up to be supermen with hidden powers and resources, so that we have to move in and put them down with a military operation. In the meanwhile, we do what we really went there to do in the first place.

"When you get older, a little more experience, and start having responsibility, you realize that your Liberal beliefs are just too expensive."

Yeah, right about when you qualify for Medicare you get over your liberal beliefs. Nothing is funnier than watching 65 year old teabaggers argue against government run health care.

G-D, You're willingly stupid!

A. They are not tea-baggers! All of the AARP are tea-baggers? Did you miss this?

B. They are at the town hall meetings to get their questions answered: 1) Are they really going to give us a bunch of pain pills like Obama said and send us home. 2) Are they really going to cut back on Medicare to pay for the 48 million...? The list goes on.

They just want ANSWERS!!! You dimwit! To call them Nazis and tea baggers without actually knowing who they are is willingly being stupid to prove your NON point!

Let me tell you about Medicare! It's a Socialist program. It was a good idea at the time, but it is quickly becoming not so good an idea. It's running out of money... WHY? Because the government mismanaged it!

Medicare is also, like unemployment, a system that you must pay into to get something out. It's not free!

So, when you make fun of old people who are trying to defend something that they've paid into all their lives, you appear to be willing to sacrifice your credibility to prove a stupid NON-point

I am really pissed off with the behavior of the Democrat Leaders over the last couple of weeks!

They acted like angry spoiled children when people disagreed with them. They called the town hall attendees all kinds of names including Nazi! OMG!!!

The Democrats in Congress and in the White House TRULY thought that they had enough power to do anything they wanted and when they were met at the door by the American people, they started throw temper tantrums and called names!

I expected this from some in the crowd but not from out Leaders!!!

RCade, That's what I call Pathetic!!!

Oh Danni,

This guy is making fun of you!
