It's not about Johnson, it's about political blowback from embracing fringe elements in your party.

I believe that the GOP is currently in the process of destroying it's credibility with independent voters.

Despite what the news coverage may lead you to believe, birther/deather wackos do not constitute a majority in this country.

When they are all you've got as a party, you become burnt toast come election time.

The republican party is in trouble, they have lost the center of America and only hold the extreme right.

Until the republicans come up with a plan to protect the American worker they will be hard pressed to gather any votes what so ever.

2010 midterm election will be THE litmus test for the GOP.

It will dictate whether thier tactics are resonating with the people or not.
