MEDICARE FOR ALL would cost an estimated $47 billion less than we are now spending. Even though millions of us have no health coverage at all, we spend almost twice as much as the other countries that cover every one. We waste hundreds of billions on insurance companies which do not provide any healthcare. In fact, one third of that money is wasted on insurance company salaries, stock holder profits, and marketing. The only way to pay for all of us is to remove the useless waste and profits of the insurance companies.

Don't wimp out!

Sign the petition, get behind the cheapest best solution to America's health care problems.
Make August be the month that Americans, without screaming and disrupting meetings, show that there are millions more of us than there are of them.

Force even President Obama to admit the truth and join us.

oh yippy - like i could jump through those hoops with my previously broken ankle!

Why don't you just go to one of those town halls and kiss the ring.

I once took a low life into an emergency room for what I believe was DT's. They called up his Medicaid file and he had three pages for just the previous few months.
Nope. I don't want that funded by the rest of us.

Please explain why you don't have health coverage...

don't wait for that response. It's not coming.

I have tried to get specific information from at least 10 lefties regarding problems they cite in their health care.

All I get in response are either crickets or a total deflection. they won't answer those questions. I suspect most of them are liars and the others are just too embarassed to admit their shortcomings and poor decision making.

Eberly I didn't have healthcare for a while because I had some pre-existing conditions. I kept getting denied.

I think they are embarrassed to admit they have not done what it takes to care for themselves and their families.

I would like them to tell me why we should pay for the healthcare of illegals..

Denial is a river in Egypt.... it's also funny as hell.

According to a Gallup-Healthways Well-Being poll released today, 16 percent of Americans - one of six adults - are uninsured, according to Gallup.

14,000 lose health insurance every day

Single payer is the way to go, and I'll be glad to sign the petition, not that it will do any good in a country where industry money rules by divide and conquer Culture War methods.

Chicken rancher you employ them don't you? Do you even have workmens comp on them?

Eberly I didn't have healthcare for a while because I had some pre-existing conditions. I kept getting denied.

were you self employed applying for individual coverage or was it through an employer plan?

how long did you go without insurance before attempting to apply for coverage?

I was applying for Individual coverage. My employer did not offer coverage. I eventually left that employer and went to one that did offer Insurance. I applied to 3 different companies. Unicare, BCBS and Aetna I think.

I was without coverage for 18 months. The employer kept saying they were going to get insurance but never did so I eventually started looking on my own after a year without it.

understood. depending on the state you were in, if you go over a certain time threshold (9 months in some state) then the pre-existing condition applies. If you stay under the time limit then it isn't supposed to apply.

"MEDICARE FOR ALL would cost an estimated $47 billion less than we are now spending. "

You have to be brain dead to believe that estimate. They low balled the estimate for Medicare when it was first conceived. Now it's running severe deficits.

In the socialist world, money doesn't matter. It will always magically appear to fulfill their slightest wishes.

Meanwhile, they are oblivious to the disintegration of the economy around them as they look for more extravagent ways to expand government.

so I eventually started looking on my own after a year without it.

Real self starter.

I was applying for Individual coverage.

Did you try to purchase it or just apply?

Did you try to purchase it or just apply?

I couldn't purchase which wasn't offered. I was declined coverage 3 times. I had to quit a job I liked for a job with less pay just so I could get insurance.

"I have tried to get specific information from at least 10 lefties regarding problems they cite in their health care."

1. the price is inflated about 30% over what it should be.

2. I'm healthy so I don't use mine very much but it does tie me to my job. I would prever that it were portable.

3. If I started my own business I would have a very difficult time buying insurance due to age.

Now wait five minutes and Eberly will think of another disingenuous way to ask the same question, he is really just a troll.

Dann, when I talked to the insurance companies I realized the only way they would cover me is if I lied and said I was a marathoner and never been sick a day in my life. Otherwise they were more than happy to decline.

Now wait five minutes and Eberly will think of another disingenuous way to ask the same question, he is really just a troll.

I waited longer than 5 minutes.

1. that is a problem you think you have. you really don't know. you are reading that from websites
2. good for you but is portability being assured in this bill?
3. fair enough.

I realized the only way they would cover me is if I lied and said I was a marathoner and never been sick a day in my life.

and yet you have a pre-existing condition that prevents coverage.

I'm not trying to pry but you must have something that you have to disclose that is rated harshly but doesn't affect your health at this point.

correct? Again, if you don't want to disclose what the condition is then I understand.
