Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

With the debate about health care reform raging in Washington as members of Congress return to their districts for the August recess, some Hawaiians are supporting President Barack Obama's proposal by showing a film about the perils of the American health care system. Sicko, a 2007 documentary by Michael Moore, "makes clear that the (health care) crisis doesn't only affect the 47 million uninsured citizens millions of others who dutifully pay their premiums often get strangled by bureaucratic red tape as well," according to Moore's web site.

PUBLIC DISCUSSION!?!?!?!?! Well why don't you just hand the cvountry over to the terrorists, you bunch of pussies! What good is having a public gathering if it's not attended by retards who are only there to scream so loud no one can hear anyone talk???

"What good is having a public gathering if it's not attended by retards who are only there to scream so loud no one can hear anyone talk???"

You know I ask myself the same question every time I see a Code Pink member ambush a meeting, or see the Minute Men give a presintation at a place they were invited to and its attended by, as you so well put it; "retards who are only there to scream so loud no one can hear anyone talk???"

Whats good for the goose, is good for the gander. If you approve of what happened to The Minute Men a couple months ago, then you cant get all pissy about this.

That's right. Nobody criticized code pink when they were distrupting congress.

I think its much more comparable to The Minute Men Episode form several months ago. Code pink does get thrown out by The Capital Police when they start their shit. The student were ALLOWED, through the inaction of Campus personel, to disrupt and as it was put earlier; "scream so loud no one can hear anyone talk".

I think we should follow Bush's example and arrest all people that are "Disturbing the Peace." I mean I'm just saying. The precedent has already been set.

to #5: see this is what I was saying all along when they were arresting massive amounts of people in NY during the RNC. They just rounded up protesters and said they were "ditrubing the Peace" and carted them off to the steel fence gages. Now that we have Obama in office we will see that he is no better than our former President; should he take the line that FRESNO has just laid out. Time WILL tell.

When you are hell bent on preventing others from speaking you are a problem. Nobody is preventing you from discussing your viewpoint BUT YOU ARE STOPPING OTHERS.........Disturbing the peace

If you dissagree with the Dems, you are religiously labeled as a racist, right wing militia member, or Al Qeada member.
Too bad Americans aren't allowed to speak their mind in the land of the free.

....that's all they seem to do lately........

Remember Joe the Plumber?

As the health care debate rages on, I keep thinking about a report I saw on 60 Minutes some years ago. The segment, which I believe was hosted by Lesley Stahl, revealed that many aspects of our health care system was being overtaken by organized crime (literally, not metaphorically) and the prediction was made that health care costs would skyrocket out of control in about a decade as a result. I have tried googling the show but can't find it. I think it would be great if someone could locate the episode and use the information in it to help combat the seemingly growing resistance to the passage of a health care bill.

Anybody else remember this report?

Sicko is my favorite movie, right
behind Broke Back Mountain, of course.

Very telling.

Be Well.

There is almost no debate among the populace.

The people want medicare +.

The corporate masters are fighting over whether to let obamas plan go through or not. That's it.

The people have no voice. None. And you are deluding yourself if you think otherwise.

Sicko!

Great strategy. Promise to make America just as wonderful as Cuba!

"The people want medicare +."

Shawn thinks that if he repeats this enough, people will believe him.

"One hundred repetitions three nights a week for four years, thought Bernard Marx, who was a specialist on hypnopdia. Sixty-two thousand four hundred repetitions make one truth."

Obama "Death Care" model in Oregon offers ill woman "Hemlock Society $50 end of life alternative to prolongation medication. Die. Period.

The bottom line is the taxpayer dollar. Or so the state representative said. Without a five year survival promised, die.

Euthanasia is the alternative, and Oregon with its state health care plan also has an assisted suicide plan in place.

Read all about it. abcnews.go.com

The lady whose request for "prolongation of life" care was denied, received an unsigned letter from the OregoN State Health Agency advising her of the availability of suicide with an offer of payment for the $35 to $50 suicide alternative.

Ah, the compassion and care available under single payer health care with its budgetary constraints. Don't claim that you weren't warned. But who or what do you want to believe, evidence of practices or the bland assurances of glib Obama and other liars within his administration?

You guys want links. Here's a link. www.youtube.com

vermin. You are an imbecile.

Good luck there kids.

I'm sure she'd also be denied private insurance if she tried to get it. All you're really doing is proving that the system is fucked up on several levels. What are YOU trying to do to fix it?

The Dems plan is far from perfect but at least SOMEONE is discussing alternatives to reform healthcare, instead of just showing up at town hall meetings and shouting down any possible civil discussion that could be happening.

That's about what we expect from the left. I mean, they lie just as much as Michael Moore so it's only fitting that they use his wrong data to make a point.

Well it would help if they could tell the truth and not attempt to lie to the people. So on that point, it makes the politician as responsible for the disruptive town halls as the protesters themselves but I'm sure in the liberal world 2 wrongs make a right. Obviously they do because nobody is criticizing the scum for lying.

The real question is why are Democrat politicians attempting to lie to their constituents. Maybe it's because he's/she's done a piss poor job representing them and the politicians know it. Therefore they have to lie to keep their job.

This clarifies things.

Whatsleft doesn't really care about solving specific problems. All that matters is that he's TRYING to do something DIFFERENT.

It will still be fucked up, just fucked up in an exciting and new way.

Give that boy an 'E' for E~F~F~O~R~T~!

That's about what we expect from the left. I mean, they lie just as much as Michael Moore so it's only fitting that they use his wrong data to make a point.

Micheal Moore is right way more often than he's wrong.

The so-called lies of MM as "exposed" by right wing cranks on various websites on the net are not particularily compelling on the whole and are a load of shite in the main.

Not that you can tell an rtard that, of course.

It will still be fucked up, just fucked up in an exciting and new way.

So yer world view here is that yer fucked no matter wot anyone tries to do so why bother even trying?

Good luck with that argument.

Be Well.

When it comes to health care decisions, 51% of the nation's voters fear the federal government more than private insurance companies. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 41% hold the opposite view and fear the insurance companies more. Seven percent (7%) are not sure who they fear the most.

I could say the same of you Bob. If Sicko is an example of liberal truth, then you guys are in serious trouble in 2010.

Lonnie

The rightie-tighties are pathological liars. Bolton, Cheney, Gingrich, Hannity, Hyde, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Sanford, Shrub.... are just a few of the names of people proven to lie to the public in order to line their own pockets.

Obama had an opportunity to address the health care problem from an ethical standpoint. Bringing the systematic gaming of the system by Drug and Insurance Companies more to light is one essential part of attempting to educate a frightened stupid evangelical redneck population that creates a political majority whenever it teams with the crooks that are robbing us all blind.

Unfortunately, Obama lost his moral mojo after he defeated Hillary. Since then he has been doing a lot of backtracking or just avoiding the issue.

Next they will use the movie Terminator to push for Gun Control

I think we should follow Bush's example and arrest all people that are "Disturbing the Peace."

When did that happen?

When did that happen?

#31 | Posted by Sniper at 2009-08-10 11:51 AM

When didn't, idiot?

I laugh when I read the objections to health care reform from most of the opposition because I realize that they feel safe holding the positions they do for one of several reasons.
1. They already have socialized medicine through Medicare.
2. They erroneously believe that they will be financially capable of dealing with a catastrophic illness with the health care insurance they have.
3. They just have been pretty lucky with their health and they think their luck will hold.

In truth, a catastrophic illness will likely cost more than the limits of their policy, and/or the co-pays will add up to much more than they can realistically afford. Many a conservative has realized too late that their beliefs were based on incomplete information or just partisan ideology not based on facts.
Believe it or not, health care costs do bankrupt Republicans just like Democrats.

Health Care education from Michael Moore?

That will work......

BTW, my daughter just recieved notice that her family's insurance will go up $500. per month in October. For most people paying for health care insurance right now who think they can afford the coverage just stop and realize that it will continue to go up far faster than inflation regardless if you are a Dem or a Republican and, unless you are wealthy, at some point you will be joining those who can't afford it.
Welcome to reality.

"Health Care education from Michael Moore?"

I think it would be better than that provided by the liars who are pretending Obama will kill your grandmother.

Refusing vaccination labels you a "criminal", so says WHO

"This gives me pause to consider this: Could the so-called healthcare reform that the government claims must be done right away, right now, quickly, immediately.no time to waste be tied somehow to this WHO declaration? Hmmmm. I smell a really big rat!

"Those pesky FEMA drillspart of a plan?

"I am wary of this FEMA drill that is taking place not only for the obvious reasons.but its close proximity to the planned forced vaccinations scheduled to be mandated early this fall. Our own government has expressed its intent to forcibly vaccinate school children as a starter. By all means..target the most vulnerable first. (Take that any way you like.)

"On MSM last evening it was reported that young people between the ages of 19 and 24 are for some reason most susceptible to this lab created virus. I find this curious as this segment of the population is generally the healthiest. Since the "swine" flu has been so thoroughly exposed as lab created they are now just simply calling it the N1 whatever flu. Apparently this first test run of what was supposed to be a global pandemic couldn't get off the ground: it didn't spread as was hoped. Of course the same thing happened with SARS and the Bird Flu..Those didn't work so now we get the "Swine Flu", or the N1 Whatever Flu". Strange how all these flu's showed up after they dug up bodies from mass graves to see if they really did die from the flu epidemic in 1918. The new and improved version of this virus is now what we are calling N1 Whatever Flu."

In other words, you got nothing except hate and ignorance to spread around. I know you haven't seen Sicko. I'll support every fact in that movie.
FACT: Sicko showed that 911 first responders were being ignored for medical help by the federal government, and in fact gave the inmates at Guantanamo Bay better care and refuseed to help Americans injured im 911 when they showed up. FACT--the government of Cuba gave those same first responders free and excellent treatment.

But facts make no difference to you---hate and ignorance is what you trade in---carry on.

Well, the right is using Sara Palin and her retarded kid so what's the problem with using s movie?

I doubt the Palin deal is attracting the center either.

Sure they can use the movie, it's just counterproductive because the center views Moore as an arrogant asshole who lies.

Last time I try to help the brain-dead left by pointing out the fucking obvious.

Oh, BB, Bashful can think alright...he just doesn't like Michael...

Below here's an example of his thinking on Ron Paul's audit of the FED bill that I certainly agree with & I suspect you do, too:>)

White House Calls Out Matt Drudge ~ aug 4, 2009

Mr. Paul wants an audit for good reason... It is a privately owned bank operating under the guise of being a government institution... Actually it is owned by the Rothschild and Rockefeller families and stock holders...

The dems want to own that bank too so they signed onto the bill because they want to control it all.

I work for Bank of America and Merrill Lynch

Actually let's talk about the people who helped our country out on 911. Bush sent money to NY to be used for any medical problems but at the time, Bloomberg (D) then (I) now, is refusing to pay out the money. They intentially attempt to disqualify people because they don't have proof they were first responders.

Lonnie

It will still be fucked up, just fucked up in an exciting and new way.

So yer world view here is that yer fucked no matter wot anyone tries to do so why bother even trying?

No Spud... These rtards that scoff at Obama trying to reform health care are not afraid he will "fuck it up in a new and exciting way"...I think it is more sinister than that. I believe they think he might actually succeed (no matter how little) which would damn the Rethug party to the "ash bin" of history forever.

Remember what they said... This is Obama's Waterloo. They have to stop him now at all costs.

Verns smartass remark that "Promise to make America just as wonderful as Cuba!" is obviously a Rethug talking point and a strawman deflector to boot. Anyone who saw the movie knows there were some serious issues raised (such as denial of a pre-existing conditions) that Obama (and Congress) is/are actually trying to address. In no way would this health care reform bill make us like anything like Cuba and Vern knows it. In fact, this bill is only a start and we would have a long way to go make our Health Care system anywhere near like Cuba's (or any other country that has socialized medicine) and any true America would know that we could do BETTER than that anyway! That is, if they truly cared about actually trying to IMPROVE and REFORM our Health Care and not just trying to BLOCK health Care reform in America.

"Bloomberg (D) then (I) now"

Actually, that should be "Bloomberg (R) then (I) now".

Whatsleft doesn't really care about solving specific problems. All that matters is that he's TRYING to do something DIFFERENT.

Whatsleft most certainly does care about solving specific problems, but it's easiest for Vern if he can assign a position to me, and then attack it.

It will still be fucked up, just fucked up in an exciting and new way.

Maybe...maybe not..but it's still better than doing absolutely nothing while premiums increase by 10% every year, people are denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions, ins. companies stop paying when people reach the policy limit, doctors over prescribe tests because they're afraid of being sued....and on...and on.

We could adopt some of the better parts of systems that work around the world but that make those like Vern cringe, because they may be socialist. People like Vern would rather obstruct any progress, since they have few ideas of their own.

The people have no voice. None. And you are deluding yourself if you think otherwise.

what do call the last major election cycle?

none, not even "indirectly"?

i do not choose, as much as i may often -- everyday these days -- be led too, nor would i advise underestimating the American people.

Actually, that should be "Bloomberg (R) then (I) now".

"still he's the one at the bottom of the 911 responders not being treated. "

And what of Guilliani and Whitman, who told the first responders it was safe, when any idiot aware of the building materials knew better?

Hey, use Sicko.. as a person that opposes socialized medicine, I'd pay for people to go see it. The more that the left looks to people like M Moore and Nancy ("them people are Nazis") Pelosi as their voices.. the better.

Go sicko go.. put it on prime time..

When you say monkeys are flying out of your butt----LINK. WTF---ever blogged before?

"I was told that the losers at the EPA told them it was safe."

Hmmm....that's a great source of information.
Next time just let us know who told you.

"I was told that the losers at the EPA told (Guilliani and Whitman) it was safe."

Too friggin' funny: Christine Todd Whitman was the head of the EPA.

A dumb, uneducated yokel like me knew it was dangerous...why didn't they?

The real answer: they knew, they just didn't care. As CTW said herself, they needed to reopen Wall Street.

Money, not the health of the first responders, was chosen as a priority.

You say that now but if they ever really did all of the various right wing groups would be screaming their fool heads off and you'd be right there with them.

Laying aside the 'fool' comment.. no, I wouldn't

The more light gets shed on most liberal ideas, the less people like them.. I'm all for people watching Michael Moore's lunacy.. You libs should use him as your primary spokesperson.. please
