Allow every person to search for insurance from any state--they will choose the lowest or the highest--but allow it across state lines.

Allow association of groups to pool together--business group of 30 or 12 or 150 or 2000--all together into a plan because they are the same type of risk. This would bring rates down. Include individuals to join these groups with themselves and their families as well.

Increase HSA for people to use for their insurance premiums and make it tax deductible.

Put all people with high risk ailments or who have pre-existing conditions to be wheeled into the system--they must be taken and given affordable rates. Just like car insurance and high risk drivers--they are wheeled into the system and insured.

This would be a start.

First, our discussion focused on the allocation of resources such as organs and influenza vaccines in a pandemic that would be scarce even in a developed economy with adequate resources for health care. Second, our aim was to explore morally justified systems, not describe existing systems. We agree that allocation by ability to pay is "active and widespread", especially in developing countries.

To equate this with any bill or proposal that's under consideration is disingenuous and misleading.

Where "this" refers to your spin on what both the paper and the proposals address.

I've referenced and read the specific sections in the health care bill that sycophants in the GOP such as my friends are referencing as evil, and I don't know where they are coming up with the outlandish claims.

The answer is that we need to reduce costs, enroll more, eliminate insurance denials for preexisting, make all have a significant co-pay stake and reduce the need for business to escape the costs of US health care by out sourcing. The answer is give us all the same options and plans that we pay Congress to have, and they will then keep it policed so that it is fair for consumers.

Such claims are easy for some to say but hard for Obama and others to prove otherwise and deny. Follow the money. Those receiving the most lobbying money from insurers, etc are claiming we need to retain the status quo, and where those that have still get more.

My take is to offer the IDENTICAL SAME fxcking plan that members of Congress get, and then we the people can be assured that we will be taken care of.
