Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

A day before he penned an op-ed declaring the Economic Recovery Act a "nearly trillion-dollar stimulus that has not stimulated," Gov. Bobby Jindal (R.-La.) traveled to Anacoco, Louisiana to present a jumbo-sized check to residents of Vernon Parish. The funds included hundreds of thousands of dollars directly from the federal stimulus package.

Isn't there a volcano somewhere with this retard's name on it?

Jindal declared the Recovery Act "a nearly trillion-dollar stimulus that has not stimulated."

The funds included hundreds of thousands of dollars directly from the Recovery Act

Big fucking deal. Less than 10% of this "shovel ready" trillions has even benn ALLOCATED. But it's somehow a big deal that a few hundred thousand finally did get through, and that a governor would use this to help his state. Jindal is just stating the obvious. The Great Stimulus is a Great Failure. By Baracks' own standards, it has done nothing to stem the rising tide of unemployment, which Obama said would be contained to 8.5%, but which is actually due to rise in the double digits very shortly. If it looks like a donkey, and smells like a donkey, then it's a donkey, which is our country's new symbol for failure.

"Big fucking deal."

It is a "big fucking deal" when your entire state is barely worth a few hundred thousand.

The Great Stimulus is a Great Failure

with 7% allocated, do tell how you know this, oh great and wise PoachedPiscine? Other than its from a democrat? I'm not sure I remember you saying 9-11 was a Great Failure, or the Iraq War was a Great Failure, though both clearly were.

Jindu the Hindu (has anybody seen a "Bobby" Jindal birth certificate or naturalization papers? Didn't think so) is doing what every other hypocritical (ie all of them) NOPpers are doing-running their mouths in one direction, while taking the money and doing "I'm such a good leader, vote for me" photo ops with the communistic, socialistic OBAMA stimulus money.

It is a "big fucking deal" when your entire state is barely worth a few hundred thousand.

Do a little research next time. Historically your statement may be accurate, but Louisiana has one of the best economies in the nation right now:

Louisiana landed atop a regional magazine's ranking of top Southern economic development states for the second time in three years, and the state is showing signs of improving its standing nationally.

Louisiana's GDP puts it 24th out of 50 states:

en.wikipedia.org(nominal)

Not bad, but not great either.

Louisiana has one of the best economies in the nation right now:

"This is obviously false. Louisiana is a red state"

The left

Pinoosh Jindal is a hypocrit just like the rest of them.

The economy is so bad right now, Louisiana actually could.

On the national scene, Chicago-based Pollina Corporate Real Estate Inc. has rated Louisiana in the middle of the pack for business climate but with a decided improvement from 40th in 2008 to 27th in 2009.

GDP is not a measure of a good economy, rcade. If so, California's economy with its higher GDP would be better than Louisiana's.

Like Patriot Act, Death Tax and the call for Freedom, "Stimulus" misleads, very deliberately.

Its a fucking payback bailout for fraudsters. While foriegn Banks and US multinationals are being reimbursed dollar for dollar, middle class Americans are being hosed.

I thought this part of the article was interesting:

Other key Louisiana deals were the Edison Chouest LaShip shipyard in Houma, which could generate 1,000 jobs and $100 million in investment;
These are the folks that keep the oil rigs supplied and lay anchors among other jobs they do for us. Do they see a rise in drilling?

Yawn. My guess is that 90% of those who actually care about this story are people who want to deflect from the morons currently running this country. Instead of worrying about how big a hypocrite some governor from the south is, why not focus on B.O. and his plans? Or are they so indefensible that this is what we'll be talking about now?

"...but Louisiana has one of the best economies in the nation right now"

Yeah, and right now California has the worst by some measures. Lets use broader figures than "right now" shall we? Because "right now" the most "successful" places in the country are the most depressed for practical intents and purposes. They just didn't crash.

"Instead of worrying about how big a hypocrite some governor from the south is, why not focus on B.O. and his plans?"

Great idea. Get people LESS interested in local politics and MORE interested in presidential politics. Exactly what this country needs. That, and a hole in the head. No wonder people on both sides of the isle today can't stop viewing issues through the prism of central governmental power.

Instead of worrying about how big a hypocrite some governor from the south is...

But focusing on irrelevant people like Jindal, Rush, Palin, etc. draws attention away from their floundering messiah.

Jindal is irrelevant? Gee gotman, where'd you come up with that priceless nugget of BS. He's a front-runner for 2012 for Christ's sake!

en.wikipedia.org

Jindal is irrelevant?

I don't understand the left's hatred for Jindal. It must stem from his being a minority AND having the temerity to be a conservative, I guess. He's far less polarizing than Sarah Palin and he seems to be far less scatter-brained as well.

My point being, this guy isn't offensive and he's managed to be, at least so far, an effective Governor.

It must stem from his being a minority AND having the temerity to be a conservative, I guess.

That's exactly what it is, Jeff. See also, Rice, Thomas, Steele, etc. The left feels they own minorities and therefore feel betrayed when one leaves the flock.

Jindal is far more palatable than Palin, and he is more of a moderate. I don't agree with most of his policies, but I have seen his ability to work with the "other side" during the legislative session.

Tax,

As Governor of your state, how would you rate his performance?

You are probably right, Goat.

The only outspoken minority that the left gives a token nod of respect to is Thomas Sowell.

Goat,

Shit.

The liberal Democrat, Juan Williams, received all sorts of shit, including death threats, for writing a book that mirrored Cosby's criticisms of the African American community.

"I don't understand the left's hatred for Jindal."

Could it be because he's a minority which makes him attractive to minority voters? Could it also be that he's a conservative and has been a good governor for Louisisna? Could it be that he's a POTENTIAL candidate to oppose the Messiah in 2012? You do realize, don't you, that the leftist-socialists are gonna attempt to destroy ANY potential candidate BEFORE he/she even becomes a candidate?

As Governor of your state, how would you rate his performance?

Overall 7.5, maybe a little higher - he has a 55% approval rating right now. He has for the most part stayed away from social/religious issues and has focused on what it takes to bring business into Louisiana. He fought back on tax cuts that were wasteful and signed off on other tax credits which will help bring industry into the state. People in New Orleans get a little pissed off at him because they want more attention from him, but if Louisiana is to become a top tier state, the whole state needs to taken into account.

You have just made the point that it isn't stimulating anything except BHOs political payoffs.

I don't understand the left's hatred for Jindal.

You obviously didn't watch the lying little creep after SOTU tell the world there are no such things as volcanoes but Obama is building a 8 billion dollar train to haul gamblers from LA to Vegas. I use the term creep, because that's how he came on stage.

We just want to see Bobby Jindal's birth certificate.

And Goat, as for Condi Rice-you do remember 9-11 don't you? Who was NSA at that time? Who ignored all those warnings? Besides Dubya, I mean. If she wasn't an Affirmative Action hire, she would have been cannned on 9-12. As it was she got promoted in order for her to screw up on an even higher level.

Thank you for your assessment.

I know very little about the guy - your input helps.

And Goat, as for Condi Rice-you do remember 9-11 don't you?

Yes, I do remember the left raggubg on Condi before then.

You do realize, don't you, that the leftist-socialists are gonna attempt to destroy ANY potential candidate BEFORE he/she even becomes a candidate?

Yep, and the right never plays that game now do they?

Tax,

LoD was inquiring about gumbo.

I am planning on sending him an email within a day or so. When it comes to gumbo, I am staunchly in favor of a dark roux and am against the usage of okra.

Can you impart a pearl of wisdom on this classic dish?

As it was she got promoted in order for her to screw up on an even higher level.

You are assuming she screwed up with her actions pre-9/11.

Jeff,

I'll put it this way - I was given the opportunity to choose between relocating to Baton Rouge or Dallas. I chose Baton Rouge because I think Louisiana has a brighter future (more of a blank slate) than Texas. I grew up in the DFW area and go back often, I don't want any part of the pompous attitude that exudes from that state. Plus, while Texas may not have an income tax, if you want to buy a house, be prepared to bleed when it comes time to pay your property taxes.

Okra get gooey and I don't use it in seafood gumbo. It's ok if you are making a chicken and sausage gumbo.

The problem with dark roux is that it can easily burn, so you have to be careful.

My best advice is the slower cooked the better, and only use fresh ingredients.

The problem with dark roux is that it can easily burn, so you have to be careful.

My best advice is the slower cooked the better, and only use fresh ingredients.

Absolutely!

When I make gumbo my roux takes almost an hour to get dark because I am so afraid of burning it - very low heat.

Personally, I like to mix dark-meat chicken with seafood for my gumbo. Shrimp is a must and crawfish (I personally don't like) oysters and crab are great options. Andouille sausage is an absolute must, IMO.

You have just made the point that it isn't stimulating anything except BHOs political payoffs.

And Jindu the Hindu's PR. And Governor Hairdo's crib.

And, in what surely must be a coincidence, the big money comes onstream in an election year. Dems gotta be thanking the NOPpers for stalling the program long enough for that to be do-able. Same with health care reform.

get back on thread boys or doc is going to have your ass for his own use.

"You do realize, don't you, that the leftist-socialists are gonna attempt to destroy ANY potential candidate BEFORE he/she even becomes a candidate?"

Fortunately we won't have to because they all seem to do it themselves.

Why do you even care?

Jindal is doing very well for Louisiana.

The people of Louisiana are very happy with him.

BTW, the deadbeats in Louisiana don't like him very much.

"Instead of worrying about how big a hypocrite some governor from the south is, why not focus on B.O. and his plans? Or are they so indefensible that this is what we'll be talking about now?"

What's indefensible? That we have to spend to clean up 8 years of the worst president in American History. That lefties always have to come to the rescue of the righties fiscally!! How come you righites have created 90% of the USA national debt?? Defend that douche bag!!

What's that lil Joe you hear Hoss callin, well you better scoot along, save your next ass whoopin till tomorrow.

Other than a few goofy quotes he doesn't seem all that bad from your account.

I thought this debutante crawled back under his rock after his pants fell off in public.

Cue up Piyush Jindal's 'Mr Rogers' impersonation from Feb 24, 2009 when he was replying to Obama's speech.

That one is still a beauty to behold.

BTW, he gave himself the name 'Bobby' after watching the Brady Bunch. True story.

That's exactly what it is, Jeff. See also, Rice, Thomas, Steele, etc. The left feels they own minorities and therefore feel betrayed when one leaves the flock.

.....and yet the Hate Group membership rolls don't swell quite as much when a republican minority gets elected.

COMMONSENSE

"Cue up Piyush Jindal's 'Mr Rogers' impersonation from Feb 24, 2009 when he was replying to Obama's speech.

That particular image of Piyush Jindal will be engraved in my mind forever.

To tell you the truth, I can't remember a single thing he said because I was fixated on his horrible attire.

I don't know who dresses Jindal for these TV appearances. But somebody needs a career adjustment.

"Jindal Pans Stimulus After Promoting It"

This article is just another stretch and shows the hoops Liberals will jump through. Liberals are just too desparate.

The real truth is that Liberals want their brown people weak and beholden to them. Not in charge. i.e. Blue Dogs in the Senate.

As Governor of my state which I was born, raised and logged 40 years in?

A hack that has spent more time on the road wooing the X-tian right wingers and gunning for a Whitehouse run than handling his own job here at home.

Incase you are wondering..... I voted for him....
And wish I haden't

lft

We'll take him, here in California.

I dated an Punjabi girl that's bummed he's Christian too.

Once the main-stream realizes he's Christian, they'll be frothing at the mouth. Soupy.
