"What a shame Ron Paul was such a fucking loon."

More like, what a shame the entire right wing/
ultralibertarian movement is such a fucking
group of loons.
I actually miss the days of William F. Buckley for God's sake (and I'm a liberal democrat). At least then, the political right was cogent and thoughtful in its approach to issues.
Today, the Right simply flounders from racist topic to nonsensical agenda. From the NRA pandering guns and, "dat black man Obama dun come for me gun paw" hillbilly racist schtick, to "NOBAMA" bumper stickers that don't even give the man a chance, to Sarah, "I'm a bulldog with lipstick who can see Russia from my house, but isn't floating down the river like a bunch of other dead fish (presumably the rest of the Republican Party), and whom firmly believes, "when the going gets tough, the Stupid leave office"...
The whole Political Right seems to lurch from one
catastrophic rendition of "the racist White Man's Panic" to the next. Can't find a leader; but a bunch of loudmouthed overpaid mouthpieces sure can find a truck load of hate talk to dump on an American President whom hasn't even been in office for one single year, AND, in the face of some of the largest crisis this country has ever faced.
Just goes to show what I've been saying for the last 8 years is still largely correct. The current
rendition of the Republican Party/Political Right,
is NOT Pro-American, but PRO Republican only...
They only want their version of America. They will settle for nothing else. And that my friends, is a thought very closely akin to Fascism...(that only their viewpoint counts, and the only "real people", are their people). Sort of reminds me of that line in the campaign last year when Sarah Bulldog Palin was talking about the "real Virginians living outside of the major cities in the state"...
what a winning pile of elitist sh!t that campaign slogan was...
sad really...
