Why all the hoopla? He hadn't done anything particularly significant for decades, and his "entertainment" was simplistic. After all is said and done the acme of his accomplishment was being a popular entertainer. Why this merits veneration escapes me. He was condemned by many when he lived and suddenly the media is trying to perpetrate the falsehood that their induced frenzy shows that huge numbers of people were affected when he died. The predicted "crowds" did not amterialize for "the memorial."

He was in physical and emotional pain as demonstrated by his use of medication to dull his feelings. His checkered past occurred because of his dysfunction.

The outburst of publicity will increase the value of his performance portfolio, and that will be exploited.

I suppose that in a sense, Peter Pan will never die because he symbolizes being an eternal juvenile. Michael was trying to find the "Lost Boy's Club."

The irony of ironies would be if his former "wife" secured control of much of his estate by virtue of being the mother of two of his children. Prepare for the circus. We may be poor as a result of Obama's policies, but we shall continue being entertained by the saga of Michael.
