Anyone watching the Jacko spectacle? I know a certain LA living, limo driving, Drudger who should be pretty busy today.

Here's the latest report from Dead Michael Central (that's L.A. to you heathens). Traffic is backed up to Colorado. The state, not the boulevard. What began as simple looting has turned into a full-fledged riot as thousands of mourners denied entrance into the Staples Center have moved crosstown and are rampaging through the streets, smashing windows and stealing single gloves. It's rumored that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is being flown in from his underground bunker to survey the chaos, and perhaps do an impromptu moonwalk during the memorial service. LAPD SWAT officers are surrounding the Staples Center and have orders to shoot to kill.

I think I'll go to the beach.

here is an issue that must be stopped in its tracks..right after health care 'reform' goes the way of the BTU tax and cap and tax is gutted

from internet source

In July 2007, Barack Obama promised a group of his supporters that, if elected president, he would sign perhaps the most evil piece of legislation in the history of our republic.

It's called the "Freedom of Choice Act," or FOCA -- but don't let the Orwellian title fool you. It isn't about "freedom" or "choice" at all. It's about forcing each and every American citizen -- regardless of his or her view on abortion -- to support abortion-on-demand not just as a "fundamental right" but as a taxpayer-funded entitlement.

But the compulsion wouldn't stop there. Because FOCA would also run roughshod over the conscience rights of doctors, nurses, and hospitals that oppose abortion on religious or moral grounds -- forcing them to provide or counsel for abortion or face professional de-certification, loss of funding, lawsuits, and even prosecution.

Not only that, FOCA would immediately strike down any and all state restrictions on abortion -- even those with wide popular support, such as prohibitions on partial-birth abortion and parental notification requirements for minors seeking abortions.

Speaking of worms...

John Boehner was wrong about Ohio stimulus spending
by Joan Mazzolini/Plain Dealer Reporter
Monday July 06, 2009, 5:43 PM

WASHINGTON When U.S. House Minority Leader John Boehner told a newscaster Sunday that not a single stimulus-funded road contract in his home state of Ohio had been let, he was wrong.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has OK'd 52 stimulus-funded road and bridge projects at a cost of nearly $84 million.

Boehner told Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace that in Ohio, "the infrastructure dollars that were sent there months ago," as part of the economic recovery package, "there hasn't been a contract let, to my knowledge."

Karl Frisch, senior fellow for Media Matters, a media watchdog group that monitors news reports, said it seemed that Boehner, a Republician from West Chester in southwestern Ohio, might want to be more aware of what's going on in his home state.

Frisch said he also wanted Wallace to have some basic facts on the stimulus spending in Ohio if he's going to interview Boehner on the topic.

"This is something pretty basic," said Karl Frisch, senior fellow at Media Matters. "If you're going to interview someone on stimulus funding, you should know something about it." Media Matters, a nonprofit "progressive research and information center," monitors daily newspapers, Sunday news talk shows, and other media outlets looking for and correcting conservative misinformation.

The aim is to put the spotlight on the media to smarten up to stop politicians from "twisting the facts to serve their own talking points," Frisch said.

Boehner spokeswoman Jessica Towhey did not return phone calls. Wallace did not respond to an email.

An ODOT spokesman called Boehner's statement "disappointing."

And Scott Varner noted that ODOT had just OK'd six more stimulus road projects which will cost about $43 million.

I am sure that you were 'busy' doing something else and didnt see the report from FRANCE

the minister of thier stimulus said that their economy has made signinficant leaps ahead because of thier 68 BILLION dollar stimlus and that america is "SIX MONTHS BEHIND"

and I would tell him thats because the bulk of that stimulus was NEVER meant to stimulate anything other than liberal agenda issues...

the minisiter also refered to a fav of the left

he said thier shovels really "WERE READY"

so JUST LIKE NUCLEAR ENERGY

"Spread the wealth!" -- Obama

Here is an excerpt from the BBC report news.bbc.co.uk on the Uighir riots in Xiankiang in which at least 156 were killed and 800 injured by the Islamic rioters. Well, the first day, the Uighirs rioted in the Chinese area of the city. Now the Han Chinese are striking back.

This must be Gaza. Or Israel. It must be a mistake. Islamics don't have any grievances against anyone else?

Where is McKinney? Doesn't her "conscience" require she make her presence known? Or is McKinney a Jew specialist because ... er, ah, er ...? What?

By the way, "the media" contradicts itself in successive paragraphs excerpted infra. It reports that there is little public evidence of coordination of training by Islamic militants with the release by the U.S. of Uighir Islamics caught receiving terrorist training. Kings X? That isn't evidence. Last year an attack by Uighir militants in another area of Sinkiang killed 16 Chinese policemen.

It has accused them of receiving training and indoctrination from Islamist militants in neighbouring Afghanistan.

However, little public evidence has been produced in support of these claims.

More than 20 Uighurs were captured by the US military after its invasion of Afghanistan. Though imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay for six years, they were not charged with any offence. Albania accepted five in 2006, four were allowed to resettle in Bermuda in June, 2009, while the Pacific island nation of Palau has agreed to take the others.

Well, were these Uighirs training with other terrorists, not terrorists? Why are we so solicitous of terrorist trainees. Shouldn't people training to kill Chinese be sent to Chinese custody so that they can be processed in accordance with Chinese law. This is another instance of misplaced U.S. empathy for vile wannabe murderers of innocents as demonstrated by the terrorist record. How about Mumbai?

Obama has really gone overboard, supporting a wannabe satellite dictatory crony of Chavez and the Castros, who was ousted in Honduras, protecting terrorists from justice . .. Watch the saga continue and Obama's sympathy and empathy for anti-Americans everywhere, Islamic theocrats and Islamic terrorists, and leftist tyrants demonstrate his consistency in those regards.

Impeach Obama now.

Albania, another Islamic paradise. The center for whores and drug distribution for Europe. Kosovo.

Didn't Clinton destroy much of Serbian infrastructure after creating a phony representation of the situation in relation to Kosovo. Clinton supported "ethnic cleansing," attacks on and removal of Serbs from their ancestral homeland.

you know, I reserve the right to wait a few days before responding to you -

The way Obama is free falling I will most likely be on much better ground in just a few short days from now.

but thanks for your interest.

Moder8, you support rescue of terrorists from Chinese justice?

It's the Obama contingent that declared that it wanted to close Guantanamo out of care for terrorists. Obama is affronted by violation of the delicate sensibilities of Islamic terrorists.

By the way, an Obama released terrorist is now again in the field supervising killing of Americans. Great policy. If Obama wasn't a sociopath, he have pangs of conscience. But Obama continues the policy of releasing terrorists.

Terrorists are released and are retruning to the field and resuming being murderous terrorists. Great Obama policy move. The tragedy is that Americans aren't up in arms condemning this travesty.

Obama killed Michael Jackson

But media hoopla is media hoopla.

I tuned in to this memorial for "a great American," Michael Jackson, which seems to be a celebration rather than mourning of loss.

The media predicted crowds of 1,000,000 are now reported as "less than 50,000."

The event was a media promotion.

By the way, Katie Couric appears to have added a bit too much avoirdupois. The lady might be well-advised to maintain a diet and exercise regime.

Johnson's creepy obsession with female appearance continues...

For a totally irreverent and politically incorrect blow by blow description of the Michael Jackson Memorial you can live stream it on your computer by listening to KFI (640 AM) TALK RADIO

The funniest two guys (John and Ken Show) will be on at Noon (PST). Those two guys will say anything. They used to be on local radio in NJ but got fired and left the state.

You will hear anything and everything you did -- or did not -- care to know about Michael Jackson. KFI is giving this MJ fiasco 8 hour coverage. Only in Hollywood.

Funny side notes -- remember the HUGE crowd expected? It ended up they had to give away a couple hundred tickets to fill up the Staples Convention Center. But California taxpayers had to pay for 1700 cops at the Staples Center on overtime to provide security.

CELISARY -- Did you get a ticket? Hey, there's still time! They've got leftover tickets. Race on down to Staples Convention Center. LOL

My take? Michael Jackson was a pedophile and creepy but he SURE COULD DANCE. He had liquid legs.

Will I be watching? No, unless I just happen to walk by the tv set and it comes on the screen.

Sorry -- damn bold key!

Obama killed Farrah.

Phoenix, yes, I've always though of Aflac as a serious intellectual. Everyone here on The Retort thinks the same thing regarding Aflac!

Yes. analytical and insightful. Getting to the crux of issues.

And the replies to his observations usually represent a resort to the usual lefty armamentarium, vindictive personal insults rather than address of the issues raised.

Well, if you don't have the facts on your side, "Baffle them with bullshit."

Lefties continue to restate issues so as to avoid the crux of problems, such as the single payer health care situation, where the inference is that institution of such a system will immediately create a larger resource of medical practitioners rather than substituting another allocation of available resources by government employees. The "cost" is a side issue and has been the leftist focus so as to divert attention from the fact that it does not provide a solution with ready availability of medical care. Prestidigitation. Legerdemain. Nope, not transforming magicians, just liars.

And the "cap and trade" ripoff ...

Yes, he is a poster who incisively points out the incongruities in leftist assertions.

The way Obama is free falling I will most likely be on much better ground in just a few short days from now.

I expect Cheney going to Iraq and producing Saddam's WMD will be a crushing blow to Obama. Just don't hold your breath.

Or maybe you should...

Johnson's creepy obsession with female appearance continues...

I'll try to explain it to you, Rogue. I'm a heterosexual male. As a heterosexual male, I respond to females and female appearance.

You are a self-declared homosexual, Rogue. As such you may not respond to female appearance. There may be an analogy that can instruct you in terms of your response to male appearance. Maybe not.

Sorry if this doesn't help you. My explaining heterosexual response to female appearance to you, a homosexual, may be akin to trying to explain vision to a congenitally blind man, who has never experienced it.

That you consider a male response to feminine pulchritude to be "creepy," says something about you, not me. But that's who and what you are.

Except Johnson isn't interested in admiring attractive women, only in pointing out and reveling in their (in his view) physical flaws.

I find that one of the larger and more simplistic smoke and mirror games by Obama is the assertion that:
The public health care plan "will not replace private health care" - and it is only "there as a second OPTION" for those who cannot get private insurance.

A lot of folks like to be fooled by Obama. But anyone who would like to think past the visions of Obama swimming in the surf with his shirt off realize that here is what the plan is:

1. Fool the idiots into thinking 40 million people do not have health care. Never mind the fact that about 70% of the 40 million is young adults in and just out of college who do not have a health plan yet BY CHOICE.

2. Slam nationalized health care thru in a "rush" "before it is too late" (like the stimulus debacle)

3. Tax corporations to pay for nationalized healthcare. Everybody hates corporations, right?

4. These corporations will be so heavily taxed that they will realize they can no longer afford private health insurance for their employees, so they will offset the cost of Obama's taxes by telling the employees - " We no longer offer private health insurance, but That's OK because you can go to the Obama public healthcare option.

5. mission accomplished: complete control of the people's personal lives. how much money thay have - what kind of car they drive, how much C02 they can exhale, when they can go to the doc, and what medicines they can take.

I suppose this is MUCH BETTER THAN Bush though, after all... all Bush did was draw thousands of Al Queda to Iraq to be killed by American forces...instad of sittting and waiting for Al Queda to come here.

Just kidding, SAR. lol

Is she not really just a joke? Isn't she irrelevant now?

Biden? He has proven himself a fool to everyone now,

Gore? he has shown himself to be batshit crazy.

Edwards? No he's a sex fiend.

Dodd? he is a criminal , maybe even a violent one.

Really. Who?

Ted Kennedy, the smartest Democrat left.

How much carbon is Obama's tour through Europe generating? Hasn't Obama heard of gotomeeting? You can still look into Putin's eyes and see his soul throw a big screen without having to travel to Russia.

Teddy Kennedy is the only honest Democrat. The others have brain tumors, but haven't revealed it, but we can tell becaue of the stupid ideas they come up with.

The world needs more Trigs.

I hope Burris wins the primary next year. Republicans would do well to send him money and vote for him in the primaries.

Even Burris over Nader? Or Dennis the K?

Why don't you tear my bleeding heart out and stomp it into the ground?

While the officer who pulled him over says Baillio failed to use his turn signal, the only questions he had for Baillio concerned guns: Whether he had a gun, where the gun was, and if he was a member of the NRA. No requests for a driver's licence, proof of insurance, or vehicle registration and no discussion of a turn signal.

Accordingly, Baillio told the officer the truth, which led the police officer to search his car without permission and confiscate his gun.

However, not only does Louisiana law allow resident to drive with loaded weapons in their vehicles, but Mr. Baillio possessed a concealed carry license!

What does such behavior demonstrate, other than transparent political profiling going so far as to use the infamous Department of Homeland Security report on "Americans of a rightwing persuasion" as a how-to guidebook, no less?

With the current lack of competitors on the right, I am not sure there is going to be any rallying needed. Let's take Obama out and see what you got.

Clinton
Biden
Bayh
Clarke
Warner

Now, who should any of them be afraid of again?

Really. Who?

The guy whom I wanted to run;

Mark Warner

Yeah and I guess Roland Burris is the answer.

Pelosi '12!

While there is somewhat of a chance Obama will run for Pres in 2012, imagine there was no Obama -
Who would the left rally behind?"

Imagine there's no Obama
It's pretty hard to do
Lots more war and inflation
Less freedom too

Imagine no Obama
President McCain
Yooooouuuu
You may say "that's fucking scary"
And I would say you were right
Imagine Vice-President Palin
Hitting the button by mistake one night....

Obama

vs.

Romney/Gingrich

Wait!

I've got it!

GOP here's your answer!

He's tanned, rested and ready...

Cheney in '12!

This time, it's personal!

Wow, I wonder why I didn't think of it before.

Hey - anybody remember this guy?

NY baseball fan settles 'God Bless America' suit
AP

By SAMANTHA GROSS, Associated Press Writer Samantha Gross, Associated Press Writer 2 hrs 25 mins ago

NEW YORK A baseball fan has settled a lawsuit that claimed he was kicked out of Yankee Stadium by a police officer because he left his seat to use the bathroom during the playing of "God Bless America."

Bradford Campeau-Laurion had named the Yankees and New York City in his federal lawsuit, which argued that he was a victim of political and religious discrimination and that his rights were violated at the August 2008 game.

The city did not admit liability in the settlement, which was finalized Monday. But it will give the Queens resident $10,001 and will pay $12,000 in legal fees to the New York Civil Liberties Union.

For its part, the Yankees will pay nothing but said in settlement papers that fans at the team's new stadium are allowed to move freely during the song and there are no plans to change that.

Clinton
Biden
Bayh
Clarke
Warner

Now, who should any of them be afraid of again?

#128 | Posted by Manypaths

What, no Dodd?

Gee Ron, we slap them upside the head with rationality and they still sit, spin and piss on themselves.

No wonder they are so angry these days.

Clinton - sealed her fate as a loser by running to Obama's SOS position and becoming silent and irelevant - pay attantion I already told you that.

Biden - his clownishness and misguided idiotic comments are now a national joke - I already told you that- pay attention.

Bayh - who?
Clarke - who ?
Warner - who?

Roland Burris is actually more of a contender than those last 3 clowns.

So if Obama does end up resigning to avoid impeachment - I can see 2012 GOP Pres with possibly a Congressional GOP majority as well.

I just think it is not very far fetched.

Kanrei, you stole that from John Lennon!

Give credit where credit is due!

You're a writer. You take plagiarism very seriously!

#128 | Posted by Manypaths

What, no Dodd?

Yep, and still no Republican.

Parody is not plagiarism. Open a book someday Ron.

Romney/Gingrich

These two aren't clowns?

I highly doubt John Lennon wrote those words, the tune maybe, but not those words and, last time I checked, I was not singing them.

Parody is not plagiarism.

Yoko may have a thing or two to say about that.

Did you clear it with her first?

Obama

vs.

Romney/Gingrich

You are right, if those 2 guys are smart they will team up rather than tear eachother down during the primaries .

You are also right, its a tough call but put Romney at the top of the ticket.

I wasn't singing your "You're So Vain" parody.

Yet, your labia got all a quiver.

What's the difference now, lover?

I think Kanrei would actually need to clear it with Michael Jackson -

uh-

-whoops!

You are also right, its a tough call but put Romney at the top of the ticket.

If you had just 1 more brain cell you just might realize why you are considered a fucking idiot by so many of us. Maybe 2.

Moron,
You took my words and claimed credit for them. You did not credit the author. I did NOT take Lennon's words, nor Carly Simon's, nor anyone else's. Because you are too stupid to understand the difference between satire and plagiarism is not my fault.

That one made the Idiot Page for future use Wis.

You'll see it again.

Thanks!

Did I miss a You're So Vein reference to MJ?

No, the Vain parody was mocking Drudgies. I am sure Ron will be more than happy to plagiarize it again for you.

We'll see. At the rate the Democrats are going, no doubt the Republican Mayor of Hell, Michigan could win.

If you had just 1 more brain cell you just might realize why you are considered a fucking idiot by so many of us.

uh huh .... and who is this "so many of US" you speak of -

the mightly army of the psycho babble crackpot lefties of the DR?

......Do I care?

No, the Vain parody was mocking Drudgies. I am sure Ron will be more than happy to plagiarize it again for you.

I am no ron karate fan, but I don;t see why you are puset at him/her. I did not get the impression he/she was trying to claim it as his/hers when he/she posted it... and I was there right when you posted it and then 5 mins later he/she posted it on a different thread, but you were also present on that different thread.

relax Kanrei.

It appeared that ron did that knowing you would blow a gasket.

It's not that great of a parody anyhow.

so don't be puset.

LOL!

relax Kanrei.

I am, just bored at work and Ron is giving me an outlet for the next 13 minutes. I am not that serious ( I was that day, but came around) and I am pretty sure neither is Ron. I am at it with Grendel in another thread, although I am pretty sure he is being serious which is taking some of the fun out of it.

Puset= pussy and upset I assume? I like it.

it was a fortunate typo

I am pretty sure he is being serious which is taking some of the fun out of it.

Was Sarah Palin's Resignation Speech Written By Trig Palin?

I THOUGHT it was WRITten ((by)) AFLC!!

Then again, aflac may be crazy, but at least he's consistent.

Sarush, not so much:

The early view among Republican voters is that Palin has damaged any presidential ambitions she may have, according to results of the latest poll, released Tuesday. The Rasmussen survey found that 40% of GOP voters feel her resignation hurts her chances of becoming the party's presidential nominee in 2012, while 24% feel she has improved her potential White House hopes.

In her first round of post-resignation interviews, however, Ms. Palin courted the big U.S. television networks, inviting them along with her and her family aboard a fishing boat in Dillingham, Alaska.

While allowing the television crews to shoot footage of two of her children -- eight-year-old Piper and one-year-old Trig -- Ms. Palin renewed her complaints that the media refused to respect her family's privacy.

What, no Dodd?
Dodd is gead.

Why should the Dems worry about replacing Obama? He's got 7 1/2 more years to go. Who was the GOPper back-up for Dubya?

Clearly no one.

How much carbon is Obama's tour through Europe generating?

From the guy who adored Dubya and his AF-1 daily commuter flight from Crawdad, Texass.

If it makes you feel any better, pretend he's on a mission from God to let the Teri Schiavos of Russia tap dance again.

Well, polesmoker .....

Obama will be forced to resign before election 2012 - so you better be concerned.

BTW you better have someone good to go up against Romney or Newt .

After the severe ass fucking the country will have had by 2012, ANYTHING Romney or Gingrich say is going to sound awesome.

In a related note:

As of today, the RCP average of polls concerning job approval for flop ears shows that he has lost 12 percent of his supporters since Jan/Feb

Anybody know who Obama picked to head the Department of Law?

"Naturally, skeptical observers have wondered how Palin would handle being president if some ethics complaints are enough to make her unable to run a state. Palin's answer: if she was president, the Department of Law would protect her.

Palin said there is a difference between the White House and what she has experienced in Alaska. If she were in the White House the "department of law" would protect her from baseless ethical allegations.

You're citing reports from FRANCE now?

Wow.

YES I AM
when it shows you just how much of a buttphucing the country is getting from god damned democrats...

Aflac has been more pro-cheese eating surrender monkey since he recognized they were right about not getting sucked into Bush's Excellent Iraqi Adventure. That and the fact his local liquor store has french wines on sale.

after reading this I scrolled down to the end. I am afraid to read some of the threats and comments that you surely recieved after this generous post.
I dont have to do anything incisively since last jan the 20th.
and there is no need for hyperbole or exageration either. Unfortuanatly for the country, just reporting the story of the past 6 months is all you need to do.
I am seriousLY concerned with the direction the dems are taking us...and that direction is DOWN.

What, no Dodd?

Yep, and still no Republican.

#139 | Posted by Manypaths at 2009

the fact that we are only 6 months into an obama administration and the left thinks that republicans are done already is all you need to know why they are so deathly afraid of someone as popular as palin and THAT of course means that she must be destroyed at all and any costs.

OTHERWisE, she would have gone the way of the other defeated VP candidates...

anyone remember what happened to edwards...well his 'little' head kept him in the news..
but what of dole's running mate afterwards....or anY Vp losing candidate afterwards...we may have heard from them but did they continue to be in the sights of the democrat WAR ROOM>....
NOPE!!

but SHE IS..........

I know I have a list of posts but if you look you will see that I am merely answering my 'mail'..

But your beloved Georgie had 17 of them, Ish. Seems you have some 'splainin' to do there.

I dont think thats true...but I know how some of those alcohol induced 'visions' can seem real

got in on end of report but something about sotamayor not agreeing that the 2nd amendment belongs to the states
anyone else hear of that already

IF true...this could be her waterlou..........or something like that

would love to hear a democrat senator from "DOWN HEH" explaining that to his democrat BOYS from the woods....

Ishie - still waiting for your explanation for Georgie's 17 Czars. You wouldn't want people to think yer one of the there hippiecrits, would you?

I filled you in on the details on the other thread where you posted this. Half-baked again, Ishie.

Nullifidian

Which one of these do I want?

TRAC FONE

I could care less about the camera and the extras.

Should I justr try to get one which offers "double minutes for life"? (There's two models w/"double minutes for life" -- one which comes with 400 minutes and one with 800 minutes and I wouldn't really be talking all that much).

Also, do I still pay a $9.99 a month service fee whether or not I have minutes left or not? Or is that $9.99 amount somehow deducted each month from my available minutes?

Nulli -- I forgot to add "thanks" :)

Well, now that Michael Jackson's body lies a 'moulderin' in his grave, we can turn to other matters. The media created an event that received more coverage than the Presidential inauguration,

And Michael is still with us, isn't he. The evil men do lives after them, the good is interred with their bones.

I'm mystified by the emotions a man such as Jackson evokes, and even more the outpouring for Princess Diana, a singularly unaccomplished somewhat obese adulteress. It seems to be related in someway to the seemingly mindless Obama-mania that permeated the country for a while. Understanding the dynamics of such situations would enable assertion of long-time political control. With "the masses" so easily manipulated, it seems that "democracy" may no longer be a viable source of sovereignty for a government to function to best advantage.

And Obama was in Moscow, and did not receive a red carpet treatment, adulation, or anything else to massage his ego. He seemingly did get one real concession and that was flyover rights over Russia to resupply our forces in Afghanistan, which are still insufficient in number.

What did we give up for this. One-third of our nuclear arsenal.

Is Russia still suplying North Korea with rocket components?

Is Russia still supplying Iran with resources and know-how to help them accelerate development of a nuclear weapin>

If Obama did, then he should get credit. Watch the news.

"Also, do I still pay a $9.99 a month service fee "

You don't pay any monthly charges. You buy minutes and a service period, 90 days or a year. I recommend get the package with a year of service and 400 minutes (which is actually 800). You don't want to have to keep renewing the service period every 90 days. If you forget, you lose the number.

I use boost mobile. Unlimited internet, text, minutes, walkie talkie 50 bucks a month. I love it. I don't even have a home phone anymore.
