DAYUM! Zigged when he shoulda zagged...

36 years old---a real tragedy no matter what happened.

Holy...............

Wow wtf

Who?

This is Steve McNair, Chris....

en.wikipedia.org

Who?

Super Bowl quarterback for the Titans some years back and one of the best college quarterbacks ever in terms of passing yards. They called him "Air McNair."

And there's the Trifecta...

Thanks, Rcade and Rex

Read Rex's link. McNair had quite an impressive record in football.

I can see why y'all are shocked over the news.

Murder - Suicide? McNair's body supposedly had several gunshot wounds. If so, it is likely that he is the murder victim and not the suicide. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, or whatever. All you need is a few ounces of trigger pull to overcome all sorts of physical advantage. Damon Runyan referred to a handgun as "an equalizer."

Sad indeed. He was a great quarterback.

The story seems to refute the original report of murder -suicide as there are suspects being questioned?

Boy, you sure can't slip anything past ol' Johnson there.

Drug deal gone bad?

Boy, you sure can't slip anything past ol' Johnson there.

Come on, I don't have any pretensions, Rogue. I once fell off the turnip truck, and maw can still sure cook up a skillet of road kill. Plain folks.

Here the report is that McNair was a married man and he frequented this downtown condominium which housed a woman. It doesn't sound at first glance like a drug situation, but rather a domestic dispute with someone's affections being the motivation. We should find out soon enough.

football, shmootball.

It's pretty clear that McNair was having an affair with the 20 year old, and that after the DUI arrest on Thursday he deceided to break off the relationship.

Out of anger, the girl shot McNair and then herself.

why on earth would you kill the person and then yourself after being dumped?

The cops are outside my building. I guess somebody is getting busted. Drugs most likely. Lots of seedy people in this part of town.

He just forgot the basic rule. Don't fuck around!

He bought that girl an escalade, and had been seen with her all around town. You know he's giving her the old, 'oh, I'm gonna leave my wife soon' bit.

Dude, I want you to go right now and put some shoes and clothes on. Put on your nice Lynyrd Skynyrd t-shirt. And comb your hair. If the cops are still waiting on back-up, you may even have time to shave.

What a shocker.

Very sad for the family and the community.

McNair's girlfriend was 20 years old. At the time, McNair had been married for 12 years but his wife is not a suspect in the shootings.

Where's 101, to give us some perspective?

12 years and has four kids.

Was she even a girlfriend?

The face of a killer: assets.nydailynews.com

Of course she probably doesn't look like that now.

too fuckin bad
the liberal societal abyess claims another one.

BLT you are such a nudge.

Sad indeed. He was a great quarterback.

#10 | Posted by Johnson at 2009-07-04 10:32 PM

No not quite, he was a better than average QB.

so whats a nudge...I can only assume that I should be offended

but in this case like the sanford case
liberals and hollywood and such all make his sort of behavior out to be the norm and when THAT happened they are all outraged and when this happens with the 'other' woman involved...its some sort of surprise..................

well this is what you get with the liberal no value/no fault lifestyle

well this is what you get with the liberal no value/no fault lifestyle

VERSE 3

An' he was doin' her wrong

Th second time she hit 'im he fell
An' th third time she hit,
She blew him all to hell
For he was her man
An' he was doin' her wrong

VARIANTS:
VERSE 7
This story has no moral
This story has no end
This story goes, just to show
That it ain't no good in men

He was my man, but 'e done me wrong

And so it goes.

Exeunt.

Actually, it's the story in Friday's paper...

Hell, I mean it's only a 2 day old article. You couldn't have known. So you made a mistake and didn't do any research to back up your own stance. Nothing new for you, Jerry.
