In the fourth all-Williams final at Wimbledon, Serena beat her sister Venus 7-6 (3), 6-2 on Saturday for her third title and 11th Grand Slam championship. Serena beat Venus in the 2002 and '03 finals, before Venus prevailed in last year's championship match. Venus was trying to become the first woman since Steffi Graf in 1991-93 to win Wimbledon three years in a row.

If I thought of a tennis match that way, I'd be nauseous thinking about the people I've played.

I'm almost afraid to ask: did you think of the Evert-Navratilova matches the same way?

Has to be hard for them to play each other, but you've got to admire what they've accomplished.

dont care

*YAWWWWWNNN*

And you thought Lance Armstrong or Tiger Woods was good.

Watching that Swiss Fabu win the time trials in the Tour was sweet.

What a gene pool. Are there any women who can measure up? Or do we have to wait for these two to get old and die?

What an American dream story! I think most pro tennis players were country club brats who had the benefit of lessons with great pros from an early age, and did nothing else. The Williams sisters were coached mostly by their father, and pulled out of junior competitions because he wanted them to take their schooling seriously.

I have a feeling they'd be treated entirely differently if they looked like Sharapova and her little sister.

good for the Williams sisters. would rather have seen Venus win, but good for little sis.
