Palin/Afkabibble2 in 2012!!!!

The world is safe at last.

You beat me on this by 15 minutes, Murphy!

Just heard it on CNN and grabbed the story but saw you already had one up on DR.

I still stick with what I said a couple days ago on yet another Palin thread. I don't think she plans on running for President or VP in 2012 but I will bet some money (any takers?) she runs for the Senate.

MSLSD is reporting she is stepping down as Governor--early!

Have to see what the press conference says.

good luck on staying out of office for 3 years and then running for president.

i would think some type of house or senate run would be more likely

Seriously,

If anyone ever doubted the presence of a God, this is proof. The Moosefart is really going to run for President!!!!

Praise the Lord and pass the mashed potatoes.

8 years of Obama might be just enough to start to remove the stench of Rtard from this glorious nation!!!

You can't quit the Governor job in the middle of her first term to run for something else. She didn't quit to run for VP.

She's toast.

She's toast.

Murphy already put up this thread on the BackPage and there are a few comments on it.

good luck on staying out of office for 3 years and then running for president.

She just popped herself in the toaster. Politicians only quit if there's a good video of them. Even then, maybe not if its not HD.

She can't walk away from her responsibilities during a recession and then try and run as a serious leader.

Maybe she just feels guilty for desecrating the GOP and the flag.

Good for you Sarah. Your family does truly need you. This is just about the first admirable action I can remember you taking. Family above ambition. Now THOSE are values I can get behind.

I didn't see this one coming. Apparently, breaking the Flag Code is a lot more serious than I thought it was.

Senate for sure.

RCade, I take back anything bad I said about you. Making fun of yourself is a standup thing to do.

Perhaps it means there is something else about to hit the fan....

Asked myself the same question. There seems to be no real strategic benefit to this move, so...

"She thinks she has accomplished goals she has set forward," one of the sources,

So this is a Mission Accomplished speech?

We know how the nomination process went for another GOP cut and runner-Fredisded chased back to Hollywierd by 9-11 and was pretty much a gag line during the primaries.

She can't walk away from her responsibilities during a recession and then try and run as a serious leader.

Maybe she just feels guilty for desecrating the GOP and the flag.

I agree. Stepping down was a mistake.

Good now she can run for prez and make herself look even more foolish.

In further remarks Gov. Palin announced she will quit the Republican Party and become a member of the Tea Party.

Has she visited Argentina lately????

If it turns out that Palin is resigning in order to run for some higher office, I take back every nice thought about her I had a moment ago in post #12.

Did any of you watch her announcement?

She basically said she was stepping down because she couldn't take all the negative publicity she is being bombarded with!!!

She stood there and whined about all the media bias and how unfair it was to her and Alaska.

This whiny bitch is going to run for President? If she can't take a Vanity Fair attack, what kind of wimp will she be facing Amendedpajamas or Lil Kim?

Does this whiff of moose flatulence think she ever has the slimmest hope of a national political office if she can't stand up to a senile late night commedian?

Seriously, she is beyond toast. She'd one floater that will go down the drain with the next flush.

She's not running for anything. Either she or one of her brood is pregnant again, or she's fleeing to Kamchatka or Denali with her hubby's business pard. Somewhere Rush and Johnson are mourning. herm

She basically said she was stepping down because she couldn't take all the negative publicity she is being bombarded with!!!

And the righties wanted her one 72 y/o heartbeat away from the WH. When the going gets tough, the tough go cry. Just ask Glenda beck.

She basically said she was stepping down because she couldn't take all the negative publicity she is being bombarded with!

Unless there's a scandal here we don't know about, this is the second public nervous breakdown of a 2012 Republican presidential hopeful in a week.

Do Mormons practice voodoo? Mitt Romney's having a good summer.

This is a real surprise.

Maybe she is crazy like a fox.

Maybe she "fell pregnant" again

Who will keep an eye on Russia for us?

They are playing the video on Fox.

Maybe she wants to be with her family and out of the public eye.

I agree Mod.

She is smart. Getting out of Politics because it doesn't pay well and using her name recognition & her looks while they last to make money. Screw the peasants!

Hope this doesn't hurt her in 2012. Stupid bitch could at least wait until getting the nomination before total meltdown.

Is she using a teleprompter?

"Palin will resign"

She has a lover in Argentina?

It's a simple case of jungle fever, she's divorcing Todd and running off with the witch doctor.

Hopefully her political career is over. Lefties will be scrounging to find their new target du'jour. Which politician's children's teenage boyfriends will be asked about their sexual habits by Larry King next?

Is she using a teleprompter?

She would if she could read at a decent pace.

She basically said she was stepping down because she couldn't take all the negative publicity she is being bombarded with!

Maybe it was Rcades take on the flag. Or that she was given the Newspapers award today.

Something is up. Even the blind wingnuts can see that.

Waiting for the other shoe to drop could prove interesting.

Which politician's children's teenage boyfriends will be asked about their sexual habits by Larry King next?

Whoever it is, I'm sure you would have supported and voted for him.

Is she following Rudy Giuliani's Idiot's Guide to
Winning the Presidency? If there is no scandal about to break, this move makes no sense if a run in 2012 is on her radar.

For some reason, the headline "Pelosi's Kid's Boyfriend's Mom Arrested" just doesn't have the same ring to it. Come on, lefties, who will be the next target of your selective delving?

She just found out the other daughter DID get knocked up by A ROD

Come on, lefties, who will be the next target of your selective delving?

Honestly Joe, your stable is full of "next targets". We just have to wait till they open their mouths or drop their pants...it used to be funny, now it's just getting to be embarrassing.

Bill Kristol thinks this was the first Speech for Election 2012!

lol

She's not resigning to run for anything.

She's resigning because somebody showed her "Who's Nailin' Paylin" and she's so dumb she thought it was her sex tape, and she's trying to avoid the scandal.

You can bet the media just upped the alert level to "RED" and is calling everyone to battle stations over this announcement. I think the dems will be "easy pickens" in 2010 & 2012 because of what they are doing to this country. Hopefully it can be stopped before he does to the US what the democrats have done in California. A Romney/Palin ticket will reverse all the madness taking place in Washington which is now infested with a swarm of Community Activists. Ask yourself: Would you hand over the reins of your company to Barak Obama? Economics and free enterprise is certainly not his forte. Yet he is running this The United States of America! His next "miracle" is amnesty and a VAT. Unemployment will be over 10% next month, 10.5% the following month. ect.ect. This guy is actually making even George Bush look good.

This is a f_you to the people of Alaska and an even bigger F_YOU to the mainstream media.

Regardless of any political or ideological differences I have with her, the main problem is she can't play pro ball. She may run for the senate, sure, but if she runs for president in 2012, I don't see her winning the Republican primary, much less the general election. Her appeal is way too narrow.

""I think the dems will be "easy pickens" in 2010 & 2012 because of what they are doing to this country.""

But then, you thought Sarah Palin was a good choice for Vee Pee with McCain so your opinion isn't all that insightful.

If for nothing else, I say THANK YOU, SARAH PALIN for knocking off the air CNN's 7,658th showing of the tour of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch.

I think she is planning a hike along the Appalachian Trail

"This guy is actually making even George Bush look good."

Sorry, Slow, but he's got a LONG way to go before that can be said.

"A Romney/Palin ticket will reverse all the madness"

Are you kidding? You think Romney would make the same mistake McCain did in picking her? There's far too much REAL talent out there for Romney to do that.

"Economics and free enterprise is certainly not his forte. Yet he is running this The United States of America!"

Well, what previous qualifications would you like? Granted, Romney's good on economic issues, no debating that, but surely that alone is not enough.

Hate to see Sarah not run for pres in '12.< She would be sure to get 50% of the base in a 40% party and maybe win the nomination.

She would get waxes in the general.

But more importantly, we will miss the low comedy she constantly provides.

Truth told, she is not a 'uniter' and that's what the GOP needs even more than an attack by Osama,
which we understand, is the only hope the party of NOPe has left.

Now THOSE are values I can get behind.

Somebody's been behind her but I don't think his name is "Values" lol

After thinking about it more, I believe Palin resigned to screw me over. The Drudge Retort is going to lose a lot of traffic if she leaves public life.

The idea that she might want to run for the Senate doesn't seem promising. She'd have to run against Lisa Murkowski who has quite good poll numbers and who is an incumbent Republican.

If this does turn out to be a sex scandal, it will dwarf all the other recent GOP sex scandals. She has always been controversial as heck. And as Rush used to like to point out, she is attractive. Sanford, Ensign, Vitter, Foley, etc, are at most a sideshow compared to info about Palin out banging away.

Menopause is a bitch, eh?

FOX News is in mourning.... "America needs her!"

btw, Is Michael Jackson still dead?

Mmm. Original.

What will us Triglodytes gnash our tooth over if there are no Palin threads.

~ Cock Fiddler

"Q" is for queef, San An. Better move on, as you're still in the dark. Might help if you pulled your nose out of that place that says "exit only."

Uh oh. Now the DR libtards will have to spend time defending Obamanomics, Obama Motors, and ObamaHealth, rather than using most of Rcade's bandwidth on Sarah Palin threads.
Should be entertaining for the rest of us, watching them trying to think for a change.

Maybe she decided to try and get that high school diploma.

"..but Andrea Mitchell is reporting her sources are saying Palin is leaving politics for good."

Yeah, and for a while there we didn't have Richard Nixon to kick around. Then he came back.

lmao!! San An

No, it's fer "Queer"!

Yes, Sarah's new revelation to us and her new legacy in politics is that she is a Quitter. Sarah Q. Palin.

They're saying it would have been too difficult to be Gov of Alaska and campaign in the lower 48.

I'm going to go with she wouldn't quit over a scandal or criticism, and that this is what passes for pudunk political strategerizing.

"Oh well, guess it's back to more Cheney threads. I got NOTHING else, that's for sure. I do hope some other woman comes along that I can go batshit crazy over. The wife doesn't even talk to me anymore."

--Whineshitbot

"Uh oh. Now the DR libtards will have to spend time defending Obamanomics"

We've learned much from listening to y'all defending Reaganomics all these years, and we all know where that led us. I think I'd sort of leave all economics alone if I had your track record.

I wonder if Fox News has offered her a spot on TV.
I really won't be surprised to learn that they did.
Laura Ingram used to be a friend of hers but will now be a competitor and I bet she's pissed.

No, it's fer "Queer"!

it might as well be

I'm sure Gov. Palin's people are going to contact 'Andrea Mitchell' with breaking news about her future plans.

Give me a fucking break.....Mitchell is just another nasty little piece of shit that fills the toilet bowl of NBC/MSNBC, one who both fears and envies Palin. There is a better chance of Keith Olberfilth getting the inside scoop.

I hope Gov. Palin gets out of direct politics and lives her life, one can only take so many misogynist sexual deviants attacking her as a women and sexually assaulting her children including her infant with downs syndrome.

"Maybe top GNOPERs think that if they have to waste a bullet against Obama in '012, it night as well be this one."

Possibly, but how would that explain her resignation???
I heard she got $7,000,000 for her autobiography, so money isn't her motivator. I kind of think she thinks she has a better future in the media than in politics. Hell, if Glen Beck can have a show then any idiot can do it.

-Clueless but compelled to weigh in

Didn't he play the feather in the Doonesbury strip?

Oh wait, that was Quayle.

Never mind.

Hopefully her political career is over. Lefties will be scrounging to find their new target du'jour.

Yeh, it's getting tougher and tougher. Ever since Jindu the Hindu self destructed on National TV, the GOppers seem to be dropping leaders like Glenn Beck dropping tears.

Maybe there is something to those mormon underwear things the Flipster wears.

-but how would that explain her resignation???

Quiting so she can campaign in the lower 48, tough to do from Alaska and still pretend to be a Gov.

I think the media career is a real possibility, considering that Beck and Huckabee have their own shows. They have the same philosophy, although Beck is psychotic and Huckabee is harmless.

Sarah could be the MILF/Mommy.

Poor Danforth. I took his name, and life took his manhood. He gave up both so easily, like Ned in Deliverance. But he didn't squeal, he bleated like a sheep. "Baraaaak! Baraaaak". LOL.

I doubt that. You'd be making a lot of money.

Democrats embrace militant gays that like young boys and who have tried to destroy the country though financial shell games like Bwaney Fwank, they embrace circus freaks with grandiose megalomaniac dementia who are mired in deep corruption like Nancy Pelosi, they embrace phony shill socialists who were weaned and groomed at the feet of domestic terrorists and rabidly anti American race baiters like President Hussein.....

But they reject a person who is a real human like Sarah Palin, they fear a women who has accomplished so much without whoring herself to special interests and who didn't come from 'old money'.

That is why the deviants on the left attacked her womb, her judgment, and her children. They are like hyenas who bite the testicals off their prey to bleed it out or who separate the calf from the mother to attack the weakest link.

The anti Palins are the most degenerate of animals, sick, evil, and sexually deviant.

What's your portfolio year to date? Sure, I would love to be able to go back and buy market bottoms, in hindsight. So would Warren Buffett.

You do realize, right, that the market is still down on the year? Tell ya what: ask your friends how many of them are up nearly 30% year to date, AND eked out a 9% gain on the collapses in September through December. Considering you're in South Florida, which is populated by people who thought real estate would be going up forever, my guess is--not many.

Moody's and S&P, which assigned AAA ratings to subprime mortgage bonds, because their computers said that real estate would continuously compound for 6-9% per year for another decade, then see growth slow to 2% per year. Hundreds of thousands of mortgage investors, who bought those bonds operating under that assumption. Every single developer, builder, and home buyer in the "sand states"--California, Florida, Nevada, and Arizona--since 1998, who are now underwater. Every single home buyer in the rest of the country who has bought since 2002, and is now underwater. Pension funds, accredited investors, and even foreign governments, who bought these bonds they knew were made to lousy borrowers, but who nevertheless believed in the constantly-rising value of the collateral.

In fact, did you know that the ratings agencies' computers couldn't even accept a negative number? That you couldn't even pose the question, what happens if real estate declines 1% year on year--what does that do to the amortizations schedules of these bonds?

And they wouldn't even be able to tell you. No idea. Everything had to work perfectly: housing had to keep rising, incomes had to keep rising, and interest rates had to keep falling. Forever. Otherwise, the party was over.

Anyone see a party? I guess it's over.

I wonder if Sarah has inked her $50 Million Dollar contract with "FOX FUCKING REPULICAN BULLSHIT NEWS" yet?

Actually, I agree with you, the Republcian Party, who engineered the entire fiasco with the complicity of Alan Greenspan, is over.
They got what they wanted, four more years of Bush but at what cost???

This was a great financial decision by Palin. She just signed a multi-million dollar book deal, she can make tons of speech circuit money, and she can get away from the ethics complaints that were likely to continue.

If some Alaskans think that she should have kept her commitment to be Gov, they might want to consider her core self-serving motives which are the true values of the GOP.

LOL. Whatever. Are you going to answer my question, about how much money you've made in your investments?

Which brings us back to the underlying observation.

Sarah Palin is smart, attractive and loves the US of A. She epitomizes a non elitist middle class success story.

If you hate Sarah Palin you are disturbed. Statists who denigrate her and blather on about social justice expose themselves as the petty two faced liars they really are.

Maybe she is getting out for good. If Palin is calling it quits it is a testament to our times that she did in the same week a clown went to the senate.

Are you going to answer my question, about how much money you've made in your investments?

Me??? I don't invest. I don't have money to invest. I have a 401K with a few thousand in it that I never bother to even look at. I know that if I invested the company I chose would go belly up the next morning, I wouldn't want to burden a company with the dark cloud my investment would bring.

"Sarah Palin is smart, attractive and loves the US of A. She epitomizes a non elitist middle class success story."

She loves the "real Americans."

SIR... I can only respond to your comments with one word.

BRAVO !

Sarah Palin is smart - hardly

attractive - barely, if you squint

and loves the US of A. - loves the closest thing we have to a real socialist state, Alaska.

What is it with drudge.com and completely misleading headlines? This one makes it look like she has resigned already, which isn't true. Rather, the headline should read 'Palin To Resign'. BAD reporting.

FF

She spent a good portion of her short, intense 2008 campaign maligning Obama as a "community organizer," and now she's quitting to become...a community organizer. She claimed to be cleared of all ethics violations when she was actually reprimanded for an ethics violation, and had to repay the state for improper travel expenses for her children.

Sarah(!) is her own worst enemy/enema.

Holy crap. What a phony. That press conference was a hoot.

Actually the only question WTF are the Rethugs up to?
Unless she knows someone has something really bad on her, why the pre-emptive resignation?

something is up. watch. listen. be ever vigilant.

The slithering evil will return.

Perhaps, what we witnessed today, was the first candidate to drop out of the 2012 Presidential race.

BRAVO !

aw, shucks

'The slithering evil will return.'

You mean jobs?

- was the first candidate to drop out of the 2012 Presidential race

Could be. Her, Huckabee, and Muffy Romney all had about 20-22 percent, with Nutty Newty 4th at 13.

Party at Muffy's house!

Early fireworks coming from AK's Sarah Palin!

Totally unexpected. I personally think she should have stayed to the end of the term.

Her press conference was from the heart. I will take her at her word of the reasons she is doing this.

Boo hoo for those who can't recognize it.

She is young and she is right that she can't do anything from AK on the national arena.

She can now be with the family, travel around, write her book, campaign for folks and collect IOU's.

Whether that will lead to a run in 2012--don't know. Whether she runs for Senator--remains to be seen.

She has lots of time here--and I'll agree her actions today are completely out of the mold for any politician.

"and I'll agree her actions today are completely out of the mold for any politician."

Sarah got all mavericky and Murphy got hot.

-her actions today are completely out of the mold for any politician.

Can't think of another Gov that left mid-term who wasn't scandalized and/or run out of office.

-Boo hoo

Watch your language young lady!

Obama's Fault!

#172 | Posted by nullifidian

You completely underestimate everything Nulli.

That's why you are so great to have around! ;o)

Sarah has grown too big for Alaska, and it's time for her to leave. Her well-funded and ruthless opponents are obstructing her with frivolous accusations of wrongdoing. The day she repaid a few thousands in legitimately-spent expense money, Obama spent tens of thousands in order to take his wife on a date in NYC. But who did the MSM rail against?

Her opponents can keep Alaska. They never wanted it anyway. And once she's out of office, she can counter-sue the people who launch these politically-motivated attacks against her.

she said why right here:

Every one - all 15 of the ethics complaints have been dismissed. We've won! But it hasn't been cheap - the State has wasted THOUSANDS of hours of YOUR time and shelled out some two million of YOUR dollars to respond to "opposition research" - that's money NOT going to fund teachers or troopers - or safer roads. And this political absurdity, the "politics of personal destruction" ... Todd and I are looking at more than half a million dollars in legal bills in order to set the record straight. And what about the people who offer up these silly accusations? It doesn't cost them a dime so they're not going to stop draining public resources - spending other peoples' money in their game.
It's pretty insane - my staff and I spend most of our day dealing with THIS instead of progressing our state now. I know I promised no more "politics as usual," but THIS isn't what anyone had in mind for ALASKA.
...one chooses how to react to circumstances. You can choose to engage in things that tear down, or build up. I choose to work very hard on a path for fruitfulness and productivity. I choose NOT to tear down and waste precious time; but to build UP this state and our country, and her industrious, generous, patriotic, free people!

Life is too short to compromise time and resources... it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: "Sit down and shut up", but that's the worthless, easy path; that's a quitter's way out. And a problem in our country today is apathy. It would be apathetic to just hunker down and "go with the flow".

she hates America, plain and simple.

And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I'll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE... I'll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won't deride them.

I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don't care what party they're in or no party at all. Inside Alaska - or Outside Alaska.

like i said before, if she is not led or brainwashed by her husband... either way... they are, politically, dangerous kooks. uber nationalist, fascist. they try to come off as Libertarian leaning, but they are not, they would regulate, ban, prohibit every civil thing, and probably some fiscal ones too, that Libertarian would endorse.

just making ^ an analogy.

this is all related to their "separatist" extremist views and the rest of the kook ideas.

now, she said it. now she is about to get rich and fed money into those dangerous ideas and candidates.

but she is, i agree toast. i hope she fails fast. i hope it doesn't work out and doesn't get money to the extremists.

"I had no idea you two were married"

Imagine my surprise.

Can you imagine Mitt Romney's "three a.m. phone call" commercial if she'd dumb enough to run.?

She basically said she quit because quitting meant she was no quitter.

what a maroon...

We'll find out this resignation was part of a deal over ethics violations in Alaska. She goes home and the State won't prosecute.

How Nixonian....

I have just watched Sarah Palin's speech and there is only one conclusion. The woman is a complete and utter hypocrite and a fool, and possibly quite mad.

No wonder Mary Matalin finds this decision "brilliant"

Huckabee was so happy he threw an extra possum on the BBQ to celebrate.

pay particular attention to her remark:

I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don't care what party they're in or no party at all. Inside Alaska - or Outside Alaska.

this is a extremist. think she WANTS to be in the senate! HA! they want to burn it down. that's why she's QUITTING, that is what they'll tell themselves (and us).

you see they are REALLY upset that American politics came to Alaska (she accepted Mccain's VP) and screwed her and NOW TOD has to pay for it? this is what THEY are saying here, they are saying a big F'YOU America. they feel "dirty."

so they are gonna take that money and go fight. i guess i hope they do not end up in prison or fund anyone who does.

Roeder is an martyr, we need another attack -- i'm sure this and plenty more 9s what they believe.

Democratic operatives everywhere have made one thing clear this evening, they are terrified of Sarah Palin running in 2012.

Zulu never fails to amuse me. He's much more fun than Zeitgeist.

I will take her at her word of the reasons she is doing this.

Yeah, but you believed Larry Craig was just stamping out a cigarette in that airport washroom.

Republican operatives have made one thing clear today. They've got nobody sane for 2012 and will be auctioning off the nomination over the interwebs.

Here is the saying on Sarah's parents' fridge--

Whatever you think of Palin, there is a lot of truth to this statement, isn't there?

"Don't explain: Your friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe it anyway."

The Boston Herald reported that on Wednesday, before South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's exact whereabouts were widely known, the Massachusetts senator mused to reporters the wrong elected official had dropped out of sight.

"Too bad if a governor had to go missing it couldn't have been the governor of Alaska," he said, according to the paper. "You know, Sarah Palin."

Pretty well nailed it, didn't he?

she cut right into mj's time!

He's much more fun than Zeitgeist.

Sweet. One of today's goals was to have fun with my friends at Drudge. If I do nothing more today than amuse sitdown I can rest easy tonight.

That and listen to the terrified shrill cries of lefties as they consider the very real possibility that as of July 25th Sarah Palin can start raising money full time for her presidential run 2012.

Then I guess 75% of the folks who post here on the DR are "separatists" with your logic.

Many many here are fed up and tired of the Dem and Repub party.

They are all crooks by most estimations.

So if she goes to campaign for a Libertarian--that makes her a "separatist"?

the terrified shrill cries of lefties as they consider the very real possibility that as of July 25th Sarah Palin can start raising money full time for her presidential run 2012.

donate all you can Zulu. Please. She'll be a hoot explaining what leadership experience she gained from running away when things got tough. Not only will she not win the nomination, she'll force any real contenders to be as batshit crazy as she is, just to appease the evanjihadists who own the NOP.

The only persons more wussie than those "terrified" of Palin are those impressed with her.

Come on, Republicans, is this really the best you can do?

Just bizarre. Now Palin's got three years to confirm what a shrew she is before not being nominated for squat.

Donate money to Sarah Palin NOW

http://www.sarahpac.com/

After four years of the Incompetent One only a woman will be able to clean up the mess.

Don't get me wrong, a lot can happen in three years. One of them WON'T be Sarah Palin becoming particularly bright. But for a certain class of man, stupid women ARE charismatic.

Come on, Republicans, is this really the best you can do?

There's always McCain. he'll only be 107 in 2012.

Just listening to Sarah's resignation speech. Good lord. She says she knows when to pass the ball. Too bad that she, like Sanford, doesn't know when to shut her mouth.

'stupid women ARE charismatic.'

She doesn't need a teleprompter . . .

I don't think adolescent fantasies about what someone might be wearing under a business suit are much to base a candidacy on. Just old-fashioned that way.

Sure.

The speech at the Repud convention was memorized.

This is gonna be hillarious!

She won't abide being a lame duck governor. After this performance, I reiterate my heartfelt prayer that she never gets the opportunity to be a lame duck president. Would she quit then in midterm too?

It's quite obvious the liberals feel threatened by Sarah Palin. How else do you explain the pure hatred of a successful woman governor from Alaska?

Names like whore & bitch on this thread alone.

Danni, you ought to be ashamed to even call yourself a woman. It's sad that you couldn't put politics aside and at least acknowledge what Sarah accomplished in life and say, "now there is a successful woman". Is it because you aren't successful?

Regardless, we haven't seen the last of Sarah Palin.

She took care of the gang problem in Anchorage.

'The speech at the Repud convention was memorized.'

I said she doesn't need a teleprompter, not that she never used one.

Barry on the other hand . . .

"Threatened...."

I hear that a lot from Palinfans. I guess the fear factor is supposed to come from the unfortunate fact conservatives DID elect an empty suit within very recent memory.

She has lots of time here--and I'll agree her actions today are completely out of the mold for any politician.

See...umm, I said this but...ummm.. I meant this.

What a pud.

You could see Bush's stupid coming a mile away. You just had to be willing to look. You can see Sarah's stupid from two miles. Just-take-a-moment.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. In Palin's case, the pit bull with lipstick is going right out of the door. Good night and good luck.

You Betcha!

'unfortunate fact conservatives DID elect an empty suit within very recent memory'

Ummm, Obama is a Democrat. No conservative voted for him, we understand butterfly ballots and everything.

No way. No. Freaking. Way.

You do not resign at this point in a term unless there is an overriding reason. You just don't.

There is something juuuuuuuuuuuuuicy going on here.

Be very interesting when it breaks.

And it will.

I refuse to accept the false . . . uhhhh . . . choice between . . . uhhh . . . affordable health care and . . . uhhh . . . a nuclear war.

Yes Helen, you . . . uhhh . . . have a question?

I will bet some money (any takers?) she runs for the Senate.

I doubt she will be elected if she does. I suspect Alaskans have had enough of her.

No conservative voted for him

No. None at all.

'No. None at all.'

Now you get it. Well done.

So if she goes to campaign for a Libertarian--that makes her a "separatist"?

to your last sentence: no, she IS separatist, an extremist, a secessionist. they hate America both as it is not and what is stands for. of course it doers no matter to contributes to. the question is illogical as i6 doesn't what she does. my writing is about who and what they (the Palins and who they think are REAL Americans and what they think is REAL America.

also, to the rest of your comments, again, no:

you cited my post #182, where i quoted her without full context from my post #177, sorry that wasn't fair. here is the full context (from #177):

she said: it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: "Sit down and shut up", but that's the worthless, easy path; that's a quitter's way out. no, i don't think most here are kooks like that. i was not implying anything about or inferring upon, by trying to pull a similarity or contrast to the Demopublicans or the Republicrats.

CORRECTION to above sentence:
to your last sentence: no, she IS separatist, an extremist, a secessionist. they hate America both as it is NOW

Sure. Palin is such an extremist. Lots like Jefferson and Washington.

Washington and Jefferson actually contributed to this country.

Palin is a dingbat who's having a tryst with the media.

For balance, we could only hope that Joe Biden resigns. The idea that that dumbass is one Obamabeat from the presidency is a truly horrifying prospect.

The women that divorced you had a pretty good idea of your worth, as well.

I have relistened to Sarah's new conference 3 times now and must conclude....

She is either on drugs or a babbling non-sensical dumb ass because nothing she said was omprehensible or can be related to anything involving rational thinking or can be equated to her rational for quiting as Governor.

WTF!!!.....What a Binbo

She doesn't need a teleprompter . . .

#199 | POSTED BY ZULU AT 2009-07-03 07

Whether or not she used one, she certainly needed it.

'Palin is a dingbat who's having a tryst with the media.'

Then why all the bother? If she's just a 'dingbat' why does the left-wing dominated media go out of their way to try to discredit her?

Why are all the democrat operatives availing themselves at every opportunity to attack her?

More importantly, why are so many people in the United States in love with her?

Maybe she's pregnant again.

She going to star in porn full time.

'Palin is a dingbat who's having a tryst with the media.'

Actually, she'd better hurry up. Larry Flint isn't going to keep his offer on the table for ever.

I guess she wanted to have as little experience as Obama before she ran for president.

Barry needs a teleprompter.

Now THAT'S a winning "argument," zulu.

"More importantly, why are so many people in the United States in love with her?"

gosh, even Charles Manson gets fan mail.

Why are so many people in the United States in love with him?

I can see Sarah's stupid from my house!

Vlad Putin

The talking heads are split on this cut and run when the going gets tough. Palinistas think its the most brilliant campaign tactic since Rudy started taking calls from his wife, most Reps and the Dems are saying she just committed political suicide.

"I guess she wanted to have as little experience as Obama before she ran for president."

Now THAT'S a winning "argument," buzkiller.

Ichiro

In her speech--as you posted--

"And I'll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government;"

That is fascist? You are kidding--right?

"strong national security for our country and support for our troops;"

That is fascist? You are kidding --right?

"energy independence;"

That's a fascist statement if I ever heard one--better include Obama with your separatist conspiracy theory.

"and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE..."

Wow--the founding fathers were all separatists--fascists and nationalists!!!!!

"I'll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won't deride them."

So she wants to use her resources and abilities to help others who are running with the same ideals she noted above. Fascist babe there!

"I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons,...."

Well--Duh!! Wouldn't want to support folks who want to commit generational theft, expand the gov't, abort babies, weak on national security, spend money we don't have, borrow money into oblivion, screw people with taxes thru schemes like cap and trade and stimulus and BS health care!

Yeah a real separatist. The Palins left the AK club for secession years and years ago--In fact, if I recall right--neither was a member.

And there are very few Americans who are happy with what is going on in America right NOW.

They may have different reasons--but the same.

"And there are very few Americans who are happy with what is going on in America right NOW."

Well now, that would explain Obama's 5% approval rating.

Right?

#238 | Posted by northguy3

Actually--I'll take her for her word and why she is leaving AK Governor early.

I would have told her to complete the term--but the family rules with her.

I don't know too many people--probably none--who would be able to have the media and others attacking your kids. And it would never have stopped.

And she may be out of politics--doesn't seem to be the path--but we'll have to wait and see.

------

She also left the Energy Commission job she was appointed by Mulkowski early.

She got a bunch of crooks out of the process and when Mulkowski wouldn't go further with more reforms--she resigned.

--------

Wait for the media to go after Obama and his family--it will happen. He is such a victim whiner now--his head will explode.

And you are damning her for having her little girl with her instead of flying 6 hours plus to go trick or treat in AK?

Swinging and missing.....

"And you are damning her for having her little girl with her instead of flying 6 hours plus to go trick or treat in AK?"

Obama didn't use his daughters as props on Halloween, like Palin.

Didn't use them at all. Period.

Swinging and missing.....

Oh--and damning her for not going to AK 6 hours plus ONE WAY and it was 5 days before election day.

Obama didn't use his daughters as props on Halloween, like Palin.

Naive idiot flag..

Didn't use them at all......BAWAHHAHAHAHA!

"And you are damning her for having her little girl with her instead of flying 6 hours plus to go trick or treat in AK?"

The "little girl"'s father was nowhere to be found? In Alaska? With his "little girl"?

Oh, that's right: The "little girl" was needed for a campaign photo-op on Halloween.... Trick-or-treating in, Pennsylvania... a swing state.

What every "little girl" wants, no doubt.

On Halloween, 2008, Barack Obama was taking his eldest daughter to a neighborhood party in his home town and...

www.reuters.com

Obama's staged event was no different than Palin's staged event. Who takes their daughter to a neighborhood halloween party in a suit and tie? ROTFLMAO....

Guess you missed the People Magazine

And all the other opportunities...

"Didn't use them at all......"

On Halloween?

Obama didn't use his daughters as props on Halloween, like Palin.

Didn't use them at all. Period.

Didn't think so.

TS--do you have kids?

"Who takes their daughter to a neighborhood halloween party in a suit and tie?"

A US Senator and law professor.

And lots of parents who don't have time to change into anything else when they come home from work before taking their children to, say, Halloweeen parties.

Wrong, he used them throughout the campaign and continues to use them.

And it is pretty slick to have cameras following him around on Halloween.

Then so you don't appear to be using a photo op--tell then to leave you alone.

So Sarah--and the family are on the road--they walk with Piper --so she can trick or treat--in PA!!

Ghastly! The horror!

BAWAHHAHAHAHAAH....A US Senator and law professor.....BAWAHHAHAHAHAHAH
AAH.....yeah right....

And those who are staging photo ops.....

All of the derision and ridiculing posts against Palin on this thread is making it crystal clear. Beneath the surface is a fear, a fear that masquerades as condescending bravado, a fear that this lady is a real threat!

Keep on joking Libtards. It's fun watching your knees quake as you pretend to be so sure about Palin!

What was it someone said, "She who laughs last, laughs best?"

"And it is pretty slick to have cameras following him around on Halloween."

Who would image? A few days before a national presidential election, and there are cameras following one of the major party candidates.

Imagine! Ghastly! The horror!

Swinging and missing.....

TS--

Check out images for the daughters NOT used in photo ops--about 200,000 hits.

"...a fear that this lady is a real threat!"

Right up there with the fear that is Mark Sanford.

The horror... the horror.

Who would image? A few days before a national presidential election, and there are cameras following one of the major party candidates. TS

Isn't the point for Sarah as well?

Like they didn't have cameras with these folks day in and day out?

Oh--Obama has a D after his name.

"Check out images for the daughters NOT used in photo ops--"

Images? Imagine! Where would they come from? A few days before a national presidential election, and there are cameras following one of the major party candidates.

Palin doesn't scare or worry anyone. She was selected as the VP running mate because repubs saw that this country was obviously ready for a female in such a high office.

That said, leave her alone now.

"Isn't the point for Sarah as well?"

Let's see:

One candidate takes his daughter to a neighborhood party, saying to the assembled press, "That's enough. You've got a shot. Leave us alone"

Meanwhile, the other candiate...

Now I know you need a drink or something--you are repeating the same post.

;o)

Later gaters!

"Fear this lady (Palin) is a threat..."

Brrrrrr. Yep. She be just so scary. Too bad Halloween is such a distance away. I's like to buy a Palin mask.

"Later gaters" to you too, Murphy. Have a nice 4th of July!

Palin reminds me of Harold Stassen. There, I said it.

I just don't see the need for the ridiculous conversation you all are having. The woman retired, so what?

I don't see the need to second guess her actions with her family.

I hope she enjoys her retirement.

Fear, Fear, Fear! Palin strikes fear in the hear of the Left!pajamasmedia.com

"I hope she enjoys her retirement."

A sentiment no doubt echoed throughout this great nation of ours.

I hope she enjoys her retirement.

I do not. She was a republican that tried to beat a Dem. I hope she ends up homeless on the streets of Alaska in the dead of winter.

Can't stay away Lisa?? How are things at home? Something driving you back to the retort??

"Fear, Fear, Fear! Palin strikes fear in the hear of the Left!"

Right up there with the Fear, Fear Fear! Mark Sanford striks in the "hear" of the Left!

But, then again, it is a fear President McCain wanted when he picked Vice President Palin as his running mate.

Poor US Senator Barack Obama. He just didn't see it coming, that Fear, Fear, Fear!

I find it fascinating this is being spun as Palin getting a three year start ahead of the competition. Running away is just running away. Sarah ran away.

Why does anyone think that Sarah unleashed will be any more impressive than Sarah chained by what she's now defined as the AWFUL job of being governor of Alaska?

If I ever run into John McCain I am SO going to thank him for his choice of running mate.

Poor Sarah. It took a VP nomination for her understand being governor was so beneath her. Maybe she can bid for the Neverland Ranch now that Michael is gone.

And yet Palin still draws thousands when she shows up to speak, while chairs have to be removed from a hall in Erie PA, to make a room look full of people for ol' Joe Biden.

Obama is going to crash, and crash big. Sarah is going to be there to ride the wave of discontent when unemployment reaches 10% and still climbing. Nothing will save the inept Lord Zero, not even his teleprompter!

TheOne....you can't be serious.

LOL

"Sarah is going to be there to ride the wave of discontent..."

My Stassen comment already seems eerily prophetic.

Laws, yes. The discontented will just HAVE to turn to Sarah. There being no other human being left on the planet.

Channeling "I Am Legend" now....

"Sarah is going to be there to ride the wave of discontent when unemployment reaches 10% and still climbing."

But she'll still be stupid.

"And yet Palin still draws thousands when she shows up to speak"

Yes. "Thousands"

No wonder President John McCain and Vice President Sarah! Palin won so decisively in November, 2008.

Poor US Senator Barack Obama and his lonely teleprompter.

"Thousands"! Numbers rivaled only by Paul Reubens' latest tour.

This just in: Rumors of a possible media job proved correct. Upon her resignation from the Governorship of Alaska, Sarah Palin will embark on a career in the media, hosting a hour long segment on the Home Shopping Network.

Channeling "I Am Legend" now....

LOL

TheOne....you can't be serious.

LOL

"Sarah is going to be there to ride the wave of discontent when unemployment reaches 10% and still climbing."

But she'll still be stupid.

#311 | Posted by Danforth

Uhhhh, uhhhhh, she's quite able to uhhhh, uhhhh, speak without a uhhhhhh, uhhhhhh, a teleprompter!

You might want do a search on her gaffes, then compare the number to Lord Zero's. Truth be told, if she had said as many and as idiotic the things that the IneptOne has said, the media and libtard elites would have a case for her stupidity. But it's ok for Lord Zero to get a pass on this, cuz when you're a Democrat it's different.

He's going to crash....no doubt about it. Unless he can get his brownshirt brigade in place and in time, there will be no saving this buffoon!

"You might want to do a search on her gaffes..."

Better yet, a search on the genuinely bright things she's said.

Your language betrays how low you've set the bar. I know: let's find out how amny times Sarah has tied her own shoe and chewed bubblegum last month.

"You might want do a search on her gaffes, then compare the number to Lord Zero's. "

And you actually think gaffes 'make the man', so to speak? One needed a half dozen years and a handful of colleges to get a degree. Another graduated magna from Harvard. And what educational triumphs do you bring to the table by comparison?

"Truth be told, if she had said as many and as idiotic the things that the IneptOne has said, the media and libtard elites would have a case for her stupidity. "

No, anyone with any brains has a fine case for her stupidity. Her answer regarding 'the Bush Doctrine' alone is enough to eliminate her from serious consideration.

"cuz when you're a Democrat it's different."

I'm not a Democrat, and never have been. Too bad your idiocy can't see beyond your partisanship hackery.

Damn. I'm so disgusted with the Obama admin, but even more disgusted that the main opposition doesn't seem ready to put up a serious candidate.

What's the big rush to field opposition against the Democrats? They have the mainstream media in their pocket, and cannot be beat through traditional debate. They are methodically identifying threats to the Gifted One so that they may destroy them in advance with their massive attack machine. Up to now, the main threat has been Palin. Now that she's removing herself from the direct line of fire, prepare to hear a lot more about Romney's underwear. Our country has made its choice, so its time to stew in those juices. The opposition will arise naturally AFTER things get really really bad.

Something serious . . . and I mean slam-dunk serious . . . must be going on.

There are rumors on the street in Alaska, according to their talk radio, that criminal charges are about to be levied . . . something about her and Todd hiding evidence in the Stevens case. In fact I'm thinking this speculation might be more about Todd than the governor herself.

If that turns out to be true, it would be reason enough to resign before the shit hits the fan, so to speak.

I don't believe a word of the explanation she gave yesterday. Palin may be a lot of things but she's not a quitter. There has to be something else behind this irrational behavior, something we don't know about yet.

As someone posted above . . . It's going to be interesting.

She quits on her constituents? Now that's the true palin.

So much for her 'Commitment to the people of Alaska'. What a line of bullshit that was.

Plain is like Forrest Gump when he got tired of running. "I'm going home now"

Hopefully it can be stopped before he does to the US what the democrats have done in California.

That's a good sheep. Keep pretending that Shcwarzashitstain is now a Dem. Sure.

"We're not retreating," Palin said. "We're advancing in another direction."

Reminds me of the CSA officer who, defeated at the Battle of Glorieta Pass (NM) announced he had not ordered a retreat but a "retrograde maneuver."

Twelve months ago, most of us had never heard of her.

Moth to the flame.

Candle in the wind.

Yeah. It's called narcicissim.

Now she can run the lower 48 at will, providing even more fodder for comedians everywhere.

Go ahead and run the dumbass in 2012!

And yet Palin still draws thousands when she shows up to speak,

#308 | Posted by TheOneBS at 2009-07-03 11:21 PM

That's because she's like a bad car wreck.

And then there are the tools like yourself that think this dumbass would make a fine President.

Go ahead and run her. An Obama - Palin debate would be hillarious.

Maybe she can borrow the box that Chimpy had strapped to his back in one of his debates.

Let the American people never forget these infamous words from the lips of Governor Sarah Palin.....

"AND I CAN SEE RUSSIA FROM MY HOUSE !!! "

Why are all the democrat operatives availing themselves at every opportunity to attack her?

Because every time we turn on our TV sets...the bitch with her cropped up hair and $500 dollar designer glasses is shoved in our faces !

Sounds like she may have a bad case of Attention Deficit Disorder.

And you actually think gaffes 'make the man', so to speak? One needed a half dozen years and a handful of colleges to get a degree. Another graduated magna from Harvard. And what educational triumphs do you bring to the table by comparison?

#318 | Posted by Danforth

Magna from Harvard. Really? Then you could refer us to some of...any of...his stellar works, writings, papers, etc.., that would underscore his "magna" status?

Maybe you could also show us what the difference is between Lord Zero's "magna" status and the token "honorary degrees" that many "chosen ones" receive for no other reason than showing up? Certainly just one scholarly paper from Lord Zero would confirm the difference? Can you find one, show one, reference one?

Or how about this, I too graduated magna cum laud. Believe it? If not, how would I demonstrate the truth of it? And if I should demonstrate it by referring to grades or papers I wrote, then Lord Zero should also. Interestingly, one cannot find such grades or papers. It's like they don't exist.

Things that make you go, "Hmmmmmmm!"

There are mayors in most of our medium cities with bigger budgets than palin, she was a stupid idiot choice from the get go.

Who in their right mind would vote for the mayor of portland to be a capable president.....oops, the right.

Check Harvard Law Review, imbecile.

inplacenews.wordpress.com

Schooling means nothing other than the fact it says they can read, understand, question, and look for viable solutions.

Oops, palin went through so many schools one would wonder if she could read and actually understand, let alone question and come to some reasonable solution.

Hmmmmm, checked your link, but still can't find what I asked for. And I'm not the only one who has been looking.

If I'm such an imbecile then perhaps you could help by providing a paper, a report card, anything that Lord Zero produced while earning his magna cum laud status?

By the way, your link was not to the Harvard Law Review. I see you too are having difficulty finding anything on line that would aswer my request.

Didn't see if this had been posted upthread, but there is some speculation federal indictments could be coming down around construction of the Palin's home and their relationship with the company that built the Wasilla Sports Complex.

rawstory.com

Update: BradBlog now suggests that Palin's resignation was due to an upcoming Federal indictment for embezzlement. Max Blumenthal at The Daily Beast adds more details.

In the wake of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's surprise resignation on Friday, rumors are beginning to circulate that she might have acted in anticipation of a previously unsuspected scandal being revealed.

Alaskan blogger Shannyn Moore suggested at Huffington Post that "rumors of an iceberg scandal' have been circulating" even before today's announcement.

Seems like pure speculation, but I guess we'll see.

It's my understanding that the real reason for the resignation is that Sarah Palin is going to embark upon a path to gain custody of Michael Jackson's children.

Again ZAT, what is the difference between Lord Zero's "magna" degree and an "honorary degree"? If someone were to say that Lord Zero got his lofty degree via affirmative action, that he really didn't earn it, how would TheChosenOne or those who gave him the degree make the case for his supreme intelligence?

Can you cite one/any of his papers written? Can you refer us to a place/link/library where such paper/s could be read and reviewed by the public?

We're still waiting for an answer Obamabeciles!

This comment was stolen by me from the Huffington Post -- just too good not to pass it on:

...I have said Sarah Palin's political ambition combined with her intellect is like putting a jet engine on a golf cart; lots of horse power and no steering capabilities. Today she proved it....

Most people don't click on links in posts, but the one SanAntonioRogue linked in his post is well worth your time to read. It pretty much nails it as to why Sarah! is stepping down. Apparently she's one or two steps ahead of a federal indictment.

More innuendo and rumor.

And Obama's CV negleted his two years at Occidental.

She, Sarah Palin, did say you could see Russia from Alaska, as if that meant something.

It was a poor interview.

Two possibilities:

1. She is leaving to pursue a lucrative private sector job, such as a Fox news position, paid appearances at conservative functions, etc.

--and/or--

2. Resigning is the only way to halt an ethics probe that is about to reveal something she'll do anything to keep out of the media -- either a very serious criminal act that they can prove, or allegations of a personal issue that would alienate her conservative evangelical supporters.

It is somewhat comical......

She claims she is a lame duck Governor and she hasn't even completed her first term.

But her mentality is consistent with the type of people the GOP consistently gravitates to.

Basically clueless like Bush was..... "I GO WITH MY GUT"

I just hope Sarah disappears like Bush has... Like a fart in the wind.

"Many just accept that lame duck status, and they hit that road," Palin said. "They draw a paycheck. They kind of milk it. And I'm not going to put Alaskans through that."

And then, you know, some people actually do the job they were elected to do, as well as they can, for as long as they can, because that's what they're supposed to do. But not Sarah!!

#365 - this a 1000 times.

Murphy, was it Tina Fey that gave a press conference with the guy beheading turkies right behind her....knowingly.....???

You didn't find that episode just a bit bizarre???

Yesterday, when she was giving this news didn't it seem odd to have the kids there, not really even properly dressed??? With like a dozen people??? In her back yard??? The whole thing is just too wierd, there has to be another shoe ready to drop and she was just trying to resign before it had the chance.

well I am certain that many of you here havent been able to sleep the past night or so just waiting for my comments on this so here goes I am happy to comply as always

watching cnn cover this and they interviewed the lt governor and tried so hard to get him to talk shit about her and he wouldnt.......good for him.
and all of the panels had at least one pointy headed freak from the east coast elitist media who talked about how the speech was wierd when she was just talking like most of the world talks rather than the polished, written by someone else TELEPROMTER speech that SOME OTHERS are limited by,

it made sense to me in the big picture but I would have to ask her why she didnt wait a little longer.

but AGAIN....the state run media was going to attack, demean, riducule, LIE ABOUT HER, and all of the other bullshit anyway....

so the bottom line..

leftists dems are still worried about her in 012 and beyond so this will just make it easire for them to crush her no matter how many times so called comedians call her a 'retarded flight attendant' and show further distain for the common people in this country
