A Fed plan further takes over State sovereignty of their issuance of driver's licenses. Many States have vehemently complained and many have refused to comply with the RealID Act. This bill further attacks in that it requires compatibility with Facial Recognition software and data accessibility for federal and international use.
Two international agencies (AAMVA,ICAO[UN]) are involved in U.S. policy for both the Real ID Act 2005 and the PASS Act. DHS calls AAMVA the "hub and backbone of the Real ID Act". AAMVAs own web-site proclaims it is an international organization that serves law enforcement and motor vehicle administrators.
Both acts result in Americans being enrolled into a single global biometric identification linking a persons image to their ability to buy and sell.
