Three people have been killed in religious rioting in southern India between Muslims and Hindus, police said Friday. Widespread violence broke out in Mysore Thursday after somebody threw a dead pig into the compound of an under-construction mosque, city police commissioner Sunil Agarwal told CNN.

You've got big problems when your religion incites you to kill.

I thought this was a swine flu thread.

Classic pun, zombie. I gave a 30-second groan.

.........that's a waste of good pork..........

Guys its a dead pig. For free even! Ever bought a whole hog to pit roast? Dig a pit, get a fire going, grab some curry and all spice(or whatever is handy) and roast that bad boy. No need to go ape-shit and kill people. Allah, and Jehova for the Jewish, I am willing to bet would be OPK with pork now that we have refigerators to prevent the spoilage factor.

Hot dog!

more people get stomped to death every day just trying to get into a mosque.

Jehovah!!

Rasta and I will agree on little else but that Monte Python is great.

Even if they hadn't had riots, dead pigs, etc. I still don't think I would ever want to visit Mysore.
Don't know exactly why, but it just doesn't sound like a place I'd like to be.

I'm pretty loyal to eating a kosher diet but I make an exception for pig meat. GotTruth's on to something they should make a party with that pig not riot.

Just how kosher are you?

- Certain animals may not be eaten at all. This restriction includes the flesh, organs, eggs and milk of the forbidden animals.

- Of the animals that may be eaten, the birds and mammals must be killed in accordance with Jewish law.

- All blood must be drained from the meat or broiled out of it before it is eaten.

- Certain parts of permitted animals may not be eaten.

- Fruits and vegetables are permitted, but must be inspected for bugs

- Meat (the flesh of birds and mammals) cannot be eaten with dairy. Fish, eggs, fruits, vegetables and grains can be eaten with either meat or dairy. (According to some views, fish may not be eaten with meat).

- Any animal with cloven hooves and chews its cud. The camel, the rock badger, the hare, and the pig are not kosher because each lacks one of these two qualifications. Sheep, cattle, goats, deer and bison are kosher.

- Any sea life that has fins and scales can be eaten. Shellfish such as lobsters, oysters, shrimp, clams and crabs are all forbidden. Fish like tuna, carp, salmon and herring are all permitted.

- Utensils that have come into contact with meat may not be used with dairy, and vice versa. Utensils that have come into contact with non-kosher food may not be used with kosher food. This applies only where the contact occurred while the food was hot.

- All pre-packaged food products must be marked with the circle U, circle K, or star K.

- Grape products made by non-Jews may not be eaten and drank.
