After his capture, Saddam Hussein told the FBI that he falsely allowed the world to believe Iraq had weapons of mass destruction because he feared revealing his weakness to Iran, the hostile neighbor he considered a bigger threat than the U.S.

Saddam never expected batsh*t crazy to become the norm in the US.

Rightfully so. He never started a war with the US or used WMD against Americans.

What? Everybody knows that Saddam helped coordinate 9/11.

I heard that Saddam and ACORN flew the planes into the towers.

He never started a war with the US or used WMD against Americans.

Was 1991 just a dream? Did Iraq not launch rockets into Israel, Saudi Arabia etc.? Other than John Kerry, most believed the thousands of Americans living and working in Kuwait were under threat. Not to mention the region if Saddam was not stopped. Why should anyone believe anything from a mass murderer?

Did Iraq not launch rockets into Israel, Saudi Arabia etc.?

When is Israel or SA part of America?

Sheesh buy a globe.

Where is Hans? This was said by so many of us here in 2002!

After his capture, Saddam Hussein told the FBI that he falsely allowed the world to believe Iraq had weapons of mass destruction because he feared revealing his weakness to Iran...

Didn't Iraq use WMD against Iran? So why would he need to lie for Iran to believe he had some? Wasn't the proof in the pudding?

IN the 80's 101. Maybe he blew his wad and we didn't give him more, so he pretended to be making his own.

When is Israel or SA part of America?

Sheesh buy a globe.

Neither side claims it is part of America.

He was right in his words this time.

When is Israel or SA part of America?

Sheesh buy a globe.

The only people who use globes these days are in grade schools. Based on your posts it is a good bet you are not a teacher. That leaves student or janitor.

He was right in his words this time.

We have people living and working in every nation on earth. By that logic, we have a stake in every war, everywhere.

It appears Sadamm shouldn't have stuck his neck out and poo poo'd the USA.

I didn't say he was right, but the logic of his statements did follow the logic of Zombiehunter's. Personally, any American who chooses to live in a country that does not provide proper protection can return home or face the odds.

Saddam certainly misunderestimated W's ignorance.

Yes. He was. Should the US declare war on every nation where an American is under threat?

When you travel to a foreign nation, you have to be aware that it very well could be a very dangerous place to be.

Neither side claims it is part of America.

No, but he justified the invasion of Iraq by the US because Iraq fired missiles into Israel and Saudi Arabia.

He never started a war with the US or used WMD against Americans.

If you read the second sentence in my post, you would have seen your questions were answered before you asked them.

Should the US declare war on every nation where an American is under threat?

We have people living and working in every nation on earth. By that logic, we have a stake in every war, everywhere.

That isn't fair logic. There were thousands Americans who lived, worked and owned companies in Kuwait. Should we have simply abandoned the people and the billions invested? Allowed Saddam to take them over? I think we learned a lessen in 1979 about how the ME felt about the US.

janitor.

My favorite PC title change has always been "Garbage-man=Sanitation Engineer"

Should we have simply abandoned the people and the billions invested?

The focus is not on the 1991 Gulf War, but rather the invasion of Iraq.

Even a maintenance engineer can see that.

Looks like you are underqualified for that job as well if you can't see the correlation. BTW... How do you explain post #4?

I heard that Saddam and ACORN flew the planes into the towers.

geesh you dumbass

acorn doesnt fly airplanes
they did the signing up and imagnie the surprise when these guys thought they were signing up for a voter registration party

It would be a surprise to tens of thousands of Kurds, and hundreds of thousands of Iranians, that Saddam lied about having WMD's.

You mean the WMD's Reagan provided?

It would be a Surprise!

Saddam matters now?

"Saddam Feared Iran more than the US"

Well...yeah.
