Companies in the U.S. cut more jobs than forecast in June, according to a private report today, showing the labor market will be slow to improve even as other parts of the economy indicate the recession is abating. The 473,000 drop in the ADP Employer Services gauge followed a revised reduction of 485,000 workers in May that was smaller than previously estimated.

That means our Daddy MR.Obama will claim a net increase in employment of at least 1 million jobs...

OH wait I almost forgot their will be a shitload of GREEN JOBS created by Cap and Trade the largest Tax increase in history. It not only failed to create jobs in several European countries it made UNEMPLOYMENT go even higher that's why President DUMB ASS and congress are fucking us over with the same idea good work assholes...

Tis the seaaon for Cap and Trade, fa la la la la, la la la la!

this means less people paying income taxes also...

Just out of curiosity, does the lack of recovery have anything to do with the banks still trying to figure out what to do with all their bad assets? And if so, what does that say about the bailouts?

lod - perhaps they threw the money at inouye in hawaii so he could throw it at kimmie on the sly when he arrives to blow them out of the water? i'm sure there must have been a very good reason for that...

This apparently isn't as interesting as Palin draping a flag over her chair.

Yes, and with the likes of you right right republican supporters smacking this problem at obama like he was the cause or something, I would be more interested in palin too.

That wasn't the reason I posted the story. Last month only 360k jobs were lost, and I was told that this was positive because this was a clear sign we were coming out of the recession. I just want to know what I should be thinking this month?

O'tards are so fucking stupid.

Where did I say I support the republicans or blame Obama for our economic mess?

Roman's right. It's not like B.O. pissed away $800B during his short term...

Roman belongs on the Palin thread.

He's about as bright as a wet Trig Palin hanging out of her snatch.

Well LOD,

I apologize for the reference slant in your direction, but the #5 post combined with the palin post makes an appearance as if you're repo republican hardcore just making fun of what is going on now.

Nothing I said gave that appearance. It was a knee jerk reaction on your part, of which around here there is no shortage (not saying I'm totally innocent of it either).

Roman is a BIG BOY now. He can count, and cut & paste, and everything! Good boy, Roman! Now count how many fingers we're all holding up..ONE! That's a good boy, Roman........

Maybe Roman and the rest of the B.O. cheerleaders can let us know when it's politically correct to hold the President acountable for something.

Now! Now! Boys, you're starting to sound like Bush.

If cap and tax passes i'm cutting 20% of my companies employees.

"If cap and tax passes i'm cutting 20% of my companies employees."

Let's see: Zero, times twenty percent....

Hey boss, I have an idea: let's cut THIRTY percent!

if crapntax passes, we can all turn our lights out at 7 p.m. and fuggedabout using any small appliances! oh, and six uses to the toilet before flushing! THREE MINUTE SHOWERS!

I keep saying, guys, that the Murrican SYSTEM has failed, and can come back by only one of two methods: 1) Another world war, like got us out of the Hoover depression; 2) Restructuring that system to accommodate people ahead of profits, individuals ahead of corporations. You know, not letting of the people, for the people and by the people perish from the earth. herm

How will you ever get all that piss out of your pants now?

And for the record, corporate recruiting is going back up. We have had a lot of calls from companies that have started hiring again.

What are all you pant pissers going to do when we pull out off this recession under Obama?

#23 | Posted by Manypaths

We will pull out sooner or later but your messiah is making it look alot longer.

Hope and change and higher taxes and energy prices.

All good news manypaths. Personally I never thought we were ever that far off course.

If we get healthier going forward then I will be the irst to congratulate the dems and obama

As one who lived under Carter, I assure you this is only the beginning. They will drill us under and always tell us it is because we need MORE of their policies, not less.

#23 | Posted by Manypaths

CAN'T be done!

#25 | Posted by eberly

i, for one, will NEVER be irst to do ANYTHING! HA! you go for it, eb.

but but but we need this stimulus bill(that no one actually read) to keep unemployment below 8.4%.

Now back to reality where unemployment is well past 9% nationally and above 10% in many states.

Thanks Obama turd your nutcrazy spending on anything but shovel ready jobs has really done the trick. Can't wait till you finish bankrupting us with your enviromentalist whacko energy bill and less quality health care for 1/3 of those without insurance being covered whiling costing us in excess of another trillion dollars.

Don't worry though Obama will just call up his pals at the FED and tell them to crank the printing presses. Meanwhile democrats are trying to kill the FED transparency bill in congress.

You libfucks must have drank a lot of Kool-Aid to still be supporting Obama the Assclown Clusterfuck.

Nothing like being a community organizer to prepare you for running a country.

What are all you pant pissers going to do when we pull out off this recession under Obama?

#23 | Posted by Manypaths

Don't worry. The Dems will snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory. Cap and Tax will be their final undoing. I just hope to hell a Republican can undo it in time.

CAN'T be done!

For statements like this I hope your husbands job is a victim of the recession. I hope you lose everything you own. I want to read about you crying as they haul away the trailer.

oh rasta - ever so thoughtful, but my husband is in municipalities and renewable/alternative energy - if his present job EVER ended, there are people lining up with offers. sorry to disappoint you. the Lord has seen fit to shine upon nanchousehold. even if He didn't, we know He's in charge.

The number was a disaster. The futures were pointing to a lower open anyhow, down 55 or so on the Dow. After release, it wobbled a little, then headed straight down. We were headed lower anyhow because of Trichet's interest rate moves in Europe, but the employment number blew the futures out of the water.

The so-called green shoots that are so visible to everyone else is lacking on every trading screen I've got. And the only predictor that managed to work properly was the derivatives and credit-default swaps market. Since March of last year, they've predicted everything, even the timing of this debacle. Something to remember, as Obama wants a big superagency to regulate them.

The real number is closer to 2 million. 3 out of 10 previously employed citizens are now out of work. Out of approx. 143 million. Just in the last year.

Recovery?

Not gonna' happen.

Imports and exports are collapsing. All the big freight carriers are on the verge of collapse, with the industry running about 40% utilization, and getting weaker by the day.

Those east-bound vessels are carrying mostly empties back to china and the M.E. They are not returning with loads.

Catastrophic price deflation lay just over the horizon.

The govco. is broke. The banks are broke. We are running out of "cheap" oil, even as demand continues to slide.

oh, and six uses to the toilet before flushing!

How does one flush an outhouse>

1) Another world war, like got us out of the Hoover depression;

#21 | Posted by herm

False

Article XXI got us out of the Depression.

It's time to legalize something else.

just out of curiosity, does the lack of recovery have anything to do with the banks still trying to figure out what to do with all their bad assets? And if so, what does that say about the bailouts?

#5 | Posted by LIVE_OR_DIE

you gotta be kidding - right??

the banks CAN"T find customers . . .

a) unemployed can't repay . . . THEY NEED JOBS

b) employed are wondering how long they will be - they are saving not borrowing . . THEY NEED JOB SECURITY

c) manufacturers are downsizing & scrambling to conserve capital because of "promised" tax increases - - and looking to outsource out of USA to remain globally competitive . . . THEY NEED THEIR COST OF DOING BUSINESS DECREASED - NOT INCREASED

d) retail sales are waay down - THEY NEED SALES . . . NOT DEBT

we need savvy voters

we also need leaders . . not dopes

And for the record, corporate recruiting is going back up. We have had a lot of calls from companies that have started hiring again.

What are all you pant pissers going to do when we pull out off this recession under Obama?

#23 | Posted by Manypaths at 2009-07-01 07:03 PM

I will be happy. I will take a nice vacation with the kids before they are gone, probably get a double header from the wife, and gripe about all the taxes I pay.

And yell "yippee ki-yay" that mofo got it done.

The sad part of all of this is that our dearest presidents and the congress had simply left things alone about 60 years ago this recession wouldn't have happened in the first place.

No sub prime loans with little or no down payment or proof of income - no housing bubble.

No fat cat union organizations with government acquiescence sucking the life out of the big three - no need for an auto bailout (like that's going to work anyway).

No exemption for health care in the tax laws to sidestep wage and price controls - no need to reform health care.

And now this circus of idiots has one more clown to pass even more pinhead laws and fowl up the economy even more. Cap and Tax is going to knee-cap this nation if it passes.

And the best part is the madoff Ponzi scheme that are Medicaid and Medicare and going to blow the bottom out of this ship and it's going to sink in about 20 years even if the current crop of palin hating jerks don't give obama his socialist wish list in the next couple of years.

All anyone can really do is ask our children for forgiveness.

George Bush and his disastrous presidency are still being felt in every aspect. It will certainly take time to undo the incredible damage he and his followers have done to this nation.

p.s. No, I don't care what you think.

2005

gas $1.80
unemployment 4.4%
record tax revenues to the fed gov.

then the dems took over congress

Not suprised in the least.

60 plus years of government interference in what originally started as a free enterprise system has taken its toll.

There is no such thing as something for nothing.

Without a naive and slothful youth few of these politicians would have a seat at the table.

40 years of age is probably about right for the minimum age before you've earned the privilege to vote.

There is no question this depression occurred as a result of greedy real estate brokers, lenders, and the financials services industry, It also happened because the Bush administration which knew we were in a recession for 18 months prior to leveling office did nothing to protect the country except fleece it to give even more to companies.

I live in Southern CA and I don't see any jobs anywhere. I absolutely do not see any stimulus being released to give relief to any region of the country.

I believe we are already in a depression and have lost hope. I don't see any company looking at any improved sales. I also don't see 4% (what the Obama uses in its projections) possible in the next decade simply because of the 75% de-leveraging. I don't see new jobs being added for another 2 years. I see the number of unemployed increasing exponentially and hitting 13% by the end of this year. This depression has wiped out all the job growth made since the previous recession.

For the unemployed the employment picture is next to hopeless. Banks are still not lending to people, Even if you got a job away from your home, you would not be able to get a loan to relocate if you wanted. When the government gave our manufacturing to China, the only jobs were based on leveraging of money the financial industry did.

I see the government unable to make decisions to release any dollars for any stimulus

George Bush and his disastrous presidency are still being felt in every aspect. It will certainly take time to undo the incredible damage he and his followers have done to this nation.
p.s. No, I don't care what you think.

hmmm, how much time?

just what damage did Bush (& followers) do that couldn't have been undone in the 31+ months that the Dems have had control of congress?? (since '06)

ya seem to be sayin' Pelosi, Reid, & company had a large hand in that damage now attributed to Bush?
I think you're on to something there

and golly, since ALL spending bills originate in the House of Representatives (Dem controlled for the last 2 1/2 yrs), things shoulda' been just peachy for whoever followed Bush's presidency?
was-sup with that?? again, I think your conclusions are intuitive

come to think of it, as a Senator Barry shoulda pretty much had the flow goin' his way long before he took the oath?? kinda curious isn't it??
bingo, the dems (w/soros) screwed with the economy & it got away from them

wow, maybe we DO agree on some things

Republicans still calling for tax cuts as the recession deepens. Truly greedy assholes.

who would hire anyone without knowing what all these liberal programs are going to cost,if you have 25 workers you will have to get health insurance for all workers at a cost of about 12,000 dollars per, will a small co.pay that or let 2 workers go?

Republicans still calling for tax cuts as the recession deepens. Truly greedy assholes

democrats still calling for tax increases as the recession deepens. Truly greedy assholes

Semtex They could drop all benefits for the workers. The economy is tough with few jobs. I think many employees would have to stay for a while.

fucking republicans are a bunch of capitalist assholes bordering on fascist.

I sincerely hope all of you are relegated to the political wilderness for the indefinite future.

Don't go away mad.. just go away.

hmmm, how much time?

so that lets the cunt republican majority off the hook I suppose in your alternate universe.

Typical republican.. you fuck up and blame others for a mess created by you.

Some responsibility ethic.

who would hire anyone without knowing what all these liberal programs are going to cost - -

#47 | Posted by semtex111

how can a company bid on (quote) a large project? - - unknown future energy increases could bankrupt them

how can a company award a large project to it's sub-contractors? - - unknown future energy increases could bankrupt them too

btw, higher tax rates DO NOT equal higher tax revenues

We are screwed over by our gov't and it's not getting better with the policies of Obama.

Cap and Trade is a killer.

The stimulus isn't and won't work--maybe in 2012.

TARP was a boondoggle under Bush and Obama since it is geared for Goldman Sachs survival.

And health care is 'broken' and Obama wants to spend another trillion for a different program--that is broken from the get go.

We need about 25% unemployment maybe even 30% unemployment to bring about real change. Republicans need to suffer to get their head out of their asses. They think poor people are lazy. Let them be poor for a while. I want to see christian men ask their wives to be prostitutes to support their families.

Jackass, you really do need help. I don't know who fucked you up so badly but I do feel sorry for you. To have so much hate in your heart is very sad.

At the rate we are going I wonder if Obama will even serve out his term.

You missed the point. The job losses are a result of fleecing (sending out of US jobs to China ect.. It is an expected casualty of one-world-ism.

so that lets the cunt republican majority off the hook I suppose in your alternate universe.

Typical republican.. you fuck up and blame others for a mess created by you.

someone prolly drove leggo to the the voting booth & punched the card for a pack of smokes . . .
let's just hope leggo hasn't reproduced yet - - the gene pool seems to have been drained

WOW! No One Went Postal!

Doesn't this story give you terrific and wonderful faith in Americans because not a single one in all those 473.000 American, who just got booted out of their jobs - not a one went "Postal" against their employers! WOW!!!

so that lets the cunt republican majority off the hook I suppose in your alternate universe.

i guess I hit a nerve scumbag. I have reproduced and taught my son to be an independent and never trust a "good" republican or a "good" christian and avoid democrats looking out for the little guy. The repubs in my experience are soul-less creatures devoid of true empathy and or caring.

All politicians are "soul-less creatures," as such, they are out to get yours. Nothing is secure, and they have more control over our lives. I don't need another daddy, I can act on my own. We don't elect our president and officials, money does, and most of us don't have that. I will never fight for this government again. This country makes me sick. A cross should be burned on capital hill.

That means our Daddy MR.Obama will claim a net increase in employment of at least 1 million jobs...

#1 | Posted by ATaxpayer at 2009-07-01 03:18

whether you were being flppant or not..my money is on him saying exactly what you say here
and he will also come up with more LIES about how many jobs he is SAVING..
damn I wish there was a betting pool on this because this is a sure thing if I ever saw one..

HEY BARRY

how are all those NEW CATERPILLER JOBS working out for dupes who voted for you

then the dems took over congress

#42 | Posted by Maverick

Damn, if that ain't the truth. We couldn't stand to let the good times roll so we had to vote for change.
