Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Wednesday, July 01, 2009

Rush Limbaugh suggested this week that President Barack Obama is laying the groundwork for a third term. "You have to wonder if Obama is just trying to lay a foundation for not being a hypocrite when he tries to serve beyond 2016," said Limbaugh. "I wouldn't be at all surprised if in the next number of years there is a move on the 22nd Amendment."

Both parties will be sidelined as more and more people tell the GOP and the DEMS to fuck off...

Blood will flow in the streets. Or not.

The Right Wing continues to lose its fucking mind.

#1, that would be nice. But somehow I doubt it will happen. And that is a crying shame.

Give us alternatives OTHER THAN:

Rtard Extra-Stoooopid(looneytarian)
Or Demo Extra-Flaky-(Green Party)

And it can happen....

Frank's got a point. With Libertarian or Green as the only alternatives, nothing is going to change.

Yep. I second that, Frank.

Sad thing is, both the Libertarian and Green parties have some very good ideas. Like their big party counterparts, however, they are run by dogmatic idiots who cling to principle for the sake of clinging to principle.

So Palin might really be the sacrificial lamb, err nominee?

I know most of that comment is wishful thinking, I still think Americans can recover our goverment and bring it back to THE PEOPLE. Americans have tasted freedom for too long to just give up.

The problem is Americans are not pissed off enough yet, wait until every aspect of your life is controled by big brother and there are 300 million pissed off Americans...

2 to 1 that people in honduros made the same case about thier president not following the constitution and the way the staterun media is slurping his shit up and libs here are the same
who's to say...they wont try it..as it says in the comments in the racing form when talking about a horse that is a long shot but with some good points

"would be no surprise"

I don't think the hysterics are doing his party any good. He should STFU.

Did anyone tell Rush that an amendment such as this won't apply to an incumbent who would benefit from it?

And did anyone tell him that this very same Congressman introduced the same bill during the previous administration also?

Rush can sure get publicity. Somebody has been taking notes.

We said the same thing about Bush- it is a common paranoia by those who fear the current President.

Why not just come out and tell his listeners that he believes them to be retarded without exception?

I didn't, except maybe joking around. Rush is deadly serious, or at least wants his minions to think so.

Rush makes shit up as he goes along and morons listen to him.

Seig Heil, Herr Obama

Thanks for keeping my vid this time!

Not 6 months into his first term.

Rush Limbaugh is a drug addict.

I think that polinoidal cyst is finally eating into his brain.

Rush Limbaugh is a big fat Idiot

He will not be around that long, The American People are not Fucking Dummies like the Obama Family and the fucked up democrats.

Well it looks like it's official. The wingnuts have finally gone off the deepend with King Lemmingbaugh in the lead.

Too fun!

We said the same thing about Bush- it is a common paranoia by those who fear the current President.

True, but in the first six months? That's generally a paranoia you don't develop until the second term.

The real losers are the Dittoheads...Rush just entertains himself by spewing forth ever increasingly ridiculous opinions. And as the Dittoheads lap it up and ingest it as gospel he is just laughing his ass off at the craziness they will accept from him.

I wish what he was saying would be true...then, we could all celebrate bringing the Big Dog back in 2016!

The wingnuts have finally gone off the deepend

True. But I'm sure you'll soon tire of the gloating and head back to shallower waters.

"he is just laughing his ass off"

All the way to the bank.

Again the big fat imbecile accuses obama of what REAGAN supporters actually were trying to do: 4 MORE YEARS!!!

The American People are not Fucking Dummies like the Obama Family and the fucked up democrats.

You underestimate the American People...they gave GWB two terms! It doesn't get any dumber than that!

Abso--freakin'-lutely!

Q: How much does Rush Limbaugh make per year?

A: According to a book entitled "Bias" by Bernard Goldberg, Rush Limbaugh signed a contract in 2001 for $297 million dollars to broadcast through summer 2009, which would make the answer, $33 million per year..

This, of course, does not include any additional money he is paid for speaking engagements, book residuals, or earnings in the stock market.

(In addition to previous answer: Limbaugh and Clear Channel signed an eight-year, $300,000,000 contract extension in August 2008, worth about $37.5 million per year.)

Forget Rush. Debate the issue:

I think the point is with such unconstitutional powergrabbing going on + having seen how Bush successfully re-wrote whatever laws he wanted [Recall the NSA Spying probe where the head defended his rewritten version of the 4th ammendment; right to torture and indefinite detentions (which Obama is now duplicating)] and many other examples where Bush declared himself above the law.

Did anyone tell Rush that an amendment such as this won't apply to an incumbent who would benefit from it?

Where was there a squable about this same subject just a few short days ago? Come-on people. This isn't history yet, it was just in the news.

Notice that you didn't pipe up when Bush was strengthening the Power of the Presidency.

You probably laughed at all of us here at the DR when we warned you that you wouldn't like all that added power once a Dem was in office.

So I guess turn about is just fair play. Suck it up. You lost the election. This is our due.

And . . . just as the two Sarah Palin threads seem to have played themselves out, another Limbaugh article makes it to the front page, immediately.

At least Rush knows whom to thank. You hysterical libtards are his biggest demographic.

This same discussion occurred a couple of years ago when the same Democratic Congressman introduced the same resolution under the Bush Administration.

It specifically says that it does not apply to the incumbent President, but only to future administrations.

This guy just believes that we should be able to vote for a President as often as we want, just like we can for any other federal, and most state officials. No hidden agenda, no nefarious scheme.

"And . . . just as the two Sarah Palin threads seem to have played themselves out, another Limbaugh article makes it to the front page, immediately."

It's not our fault that the most prominent faces of your party are tabloid freak shows.

SanAntonioRogue nails it with #13.

"He flourished under Reagan
Languished under Carter and
Died under Obama"

- Rush Limbaugh, today when speaking on Michael Jackson's life and death.

Seems there are two possibilities (not mutually exclusive). Rush has lost his mind, or he's seeing how far he can go and still have the idiot ditto heads follow his word.

Rush Limbaugh -- the green fuzzy rotten thing in the back of the fridge that some people still have to smell to determine if it is bad or not.

20 million flies can't be wrong...so eat shit with the rest of the dittoheads.

Wow, the NOP pants pissers are off to an early start, ain't they? I'm pretty sure Rush would have supported a third term for Reagan, as the GOP wanted, but only before they realized he was highballing it to lala-land. And, of course, let's not forget the GOPpers lust for an Amendment so Arnie could run for Prez.

But it is nice to see daddy Rush, de facto spokesperson for the NOP, to admit Obama is a shoe-in in 2012.

I guess daddy rush has accepted that America ain't going to fail, no matter how much he and the right wanted it to. Maybe they'll get lucky and Osama will get a nuke. With Rush's income, I'm sure he could purchase one from Lil Kim for bin laden.

Rush has 20 million listeners (approximately).

You know I keep seeing this, but the only people calling Limbaugh a leader and seem to care about what he says are democrats.

The Republicans are the ones calling him a Leader and apologizing to him.

Not us. We have other names for him.

March 2, 2009 01:47 PM
UPDATE - 6:20PM ET: Michael Steele has apologized to Rush Limbaugh for referring to him as an "entertainer" who can be "ugly" and "incendiary," Mike Allen reports.

"My intent was not to go after Rush - I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh," Steele said. "I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. ... There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership."

Not us. We have other names for him.

I'm only going by what I read here, but if you call me more names, you might have me convinced otherwise. LOL

I don't support any party. I came to terms with that years ago, runnysore.

Good of you GM.

So, party aside, what do you think of Palin's ability to run the country?

So, party aside, what do you think of Palin's ability to run the country?

I'm honestly not sure. It's hard to tell with governors. Congressmen it's easier to get a feel for how they would do in the WH.

Bush was a good governor of Texas, IMO, but he was a really shitty president. That's why I voted for him the first time and not the second.

palin runs the governorship the size of about Fort worth tx.

I'd say she is ready for the big league.

But his Lt. Gov did most of the work.

Sorry, but history shows that W Bush wasn't good at anything.

And yours is leading us to communism.

Having a president run for another term after 8 years is NOT a very progressive idea.

Let's hope that the Secret Service is keeping a wary eye on Badeye. It surely SOUNDS like one angry white man planning an assassination before we get another vote. herm

won't be anything to run in 8 years.

I guess you like the way the country is going. For years I have said the only difference between the two parties is the speed in which we go.

We only thought we got rid of all the welfare back in the mid 90s. It was just renamed tax credits. All thoes lazy bastards are still sucking on the government tit just like the boys from wall street. What amazes me is you libs love it. Kinda makes me wonder just exactly they are sucking on. her and man love it!!

this IS just an irrelevant blowhard trying to seem important and interesting.
BUT!!!!!!!!
didn't we hear the ramblings of liberals saying that the guy who "stole" the 2000 and 2004 elections was going to use the unitary executive B.S. to become prez for life? weren't we told, maybe by a MSNBC host?.......oohh well that was years ago, and dealt with those neo-con people so it seemed sane

It's intersting to note that Limbaugh believes President Obama will be re-elected in 2012. Otherwise, why worry about 2016?

Go away fatass loser Limbaugh. Nobody cares what you say.

Go away fatass loser Limbaugh.

Acquaint yourself with the tuning buttons on our radio. It worked for me.

I must know what the enemy is up to. That's why I listen to him and Hannity 5 days a week. I do achieve some balance by listening to Alan Colmes though.

I listen to Hannity sometimes...some of the best comedy on radio and I am not saying that to troll. I honestly crack up listening to him often.

This is an old story--Someone was going to file a bill for Bush to run for a third term as well.

The idiots running the country are--well--idiots!

I remember people talking about Reagan's third term.

The Democrats said that for eight years about Bush.

I enjoy Limbaugh.. but evidently Manypaths and the left listen a lot more than I do. It's amazing how much the lefties know about Limbaugh and quote him constantly, given their claim that he's irrelevant, stupid, etc etc etc..

I would hazard that is better than claiming he is stupid without knowing anything about him.

That's true and credit where credit's due on that.

When you know the influence and impact Limbaugh has on the GNoP, doesn't it make sense to keep track of what he's saying?

You know the old saying about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer...

...doesn't it make sense to keep track of what he's saying?

Why? The left listeners who repeat his idiocies to the left non-listeners are only preaching to the choir. The right who listen have already heard the 'message' and agree with it anyway.

I guess I wonder what is gained (from a left POV) from a leftie listening to Rush -- IOW what is the benefit of keeping close to the enemy in this case?

Rush makes shit up as he goes along and morons listen to him.

No.man, ObamaBoy never ran anything ands he is obviously way out of his league. he is a post turtle.

I have no trouble with making Rush - or Coulter, Malkin, Palin, Cheney, Newt or the Faux Mafia - into a front page thread every time one opens a drooling mouth.

Our Republidiots, those who happily followed the bushling over the economic cliff, made their beds and happily must now live with the bugs infesting those beds. herm

How many pounds of soylent green would Rush's carcass make?

All I can say at the moment is, "Turd Ferguson" is one of the greatest handles in history.

Earlier this month, Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N.Y. introduced H. J. Res. 5, a bill that would repeal the Constitution's 22nd Amendment prohibiting a president from being elected to more than two terms in office, thus potentially paving the way to make Barack Obama president for life. Not surprisingly, the corporate media currently caught up in Obama mania has not covered this story.

He introduced the SAME bill during Bush's term. It excludes whoever is the sitting President at the time.
