"I always find it amusing when people call Sarah (or anyone) a loser and say they want her to run. IOW, you know the democrats don't have a candidate worth voting for, so the strategy is to hope the opponent is a stupid loser like Palin. That is how the democrats 'won' the '08 election -- the other side lost.
And those who want so badly for a loser of a Republican candidate want so because they know a decent candidate would kick their ass.
I mean, why else would you want a loser to run against your candidate? If your candidate is the best, they should be able to beat anyone.
Funny to see the dems admit all they have to offer are losers, and they don't even realize they are admitting it. LOL

WHOA, goatman! Slow down.
Your first paragraph begins with (at best) a weak assumption and then you extrapolate onward from that to false conclusions. GIGO.
FIRST: "IOW, you know the democrats don't have a candidate worth voting for, so the strategy is to hope the opponent is a stupid loser like Palin."
Uh, that would be "IYOW" (In YOUR Other Words). Another, and in this specific case more supportable, justification for desiring a weak opponent is that resources (time and money) will NOT have to be expended to ensure electoral victory. Subsequently, those resources can be utilized to further other campaigns and (ultimately) one's agenda.
SECOND: "And those who want so badly for a loser of a Republican candidate want so because they know a decent candidate would kick their ass."
If I understand you correctly, you're saying a decent candidate would (paraprasing a bit) beat another (presumably 'lesser')candidate. OK, but why state the obvious? "What if Spartacus had a Piper Cub?" - chickenrancher (GREAT quote!). Is that not the way elections are supposed to work (regardless of party affiliation)? So..., what's preventing the Republican party from fielding a 'decent candidate'?
THIRD: "I mean, why else would you want a loser to run against your candidate? If your candidate is the best, they should be able to beat anyone."
Already answered above.
FOURTH: "Funny to see the dems admit all they have to offer are losers, and they don't even realize they are admitting it. LOL"
Too ironic! If anything, your statements "paint" Gov. Palin as 'a loser' and YOU don't even realize. Consider this: if it's NOT true, then what's your point???
If you want to believe that the Democrats didn't win in '08 so much as the other side lost, fine. Personally, I would find it hard to back up such a statement given: the margin of victory, the support across diverse demographic groups, the expansion of the Democrat party in Congress, and the level of campaign organization that was devoted to the effort. To each his own, of course.
