The Courts have left Mrs. Madoff $2.5 million, enough for a very comfortable life unless she, too, is implicated in the actual scam- as some seem to believe.

Of interest is Mr. Madoff's attorney, who played the lawyer trick of begging for mercy while stating he wasn't doing any such thing.

The Madoff attorney thinks his client should have been given leniency for turning him self in and not running out of the country.

Strange logic. In the first place, for the sake of a few score billions Madoff was bound to be found if he ran.

In the second place, my intuition tells me Madoff the sociopath has millions secreted around the globe he seriously thought he might spend after serving some prison time.

I heard this morning that people close to the investigation think that 10 more individuals are likely to be charge in the scam... including Ruthy baby.

The Madoffs are very sorry, really. Not sorry enough to roll on their accomplices mind you, but sorry nonetheless.

Many of Madoff's clients were Jewish and most were all-in blind. The fact that he was Jewish, had a "good" family, and was involved in Jewish philanthropy gave him cover. Without his wife and kids, he was just another investment guru with higher than average returns. With them he was the shining example of what a "good, hard working, smart, savvy Jew" was capable of. His family was VERY important for wooing other Jewish clients and convincing them not just to invest, but to put every piece of silver they had in his fund. The siege mentality of the Jewish community in New York, their blind faith that Jews are better and more honorable, is a big reason why so many people lost so much.

Either Ruth Madoff was a willing accomplice in taking advantage of Jewish xenophobia and racism, or she is the most naive person on Earth. Whatever the case, she should be put out on the street and forced to get a real job like everyone else.
