I can't count the number of times I've changed channels or killed the power to my TV in order to avoid listening to those two assholes. To describe Billy Mays as an icon is stretching the truth a very long way. I would describe him as a bombastic loud-mouthed pitch-man that polluted the air-waves with his obnoxious voice. At my home, he will not be missed!!!!!!!

There's a guy in Portland that is even worse than Billy Mays. He does commercials for Outrageous Audio. He is a poster boy for using one's mute button!!

Apparently a sufficinet number of people listen to him and buy his product to sustain the programs on which he makes his presentations. Different strokes for different folks.

I always kinda liked Billy Mays. He was no Susan Powter, but his gravely voice grew on you.

His son looks a lot like him and also is named Billy Mays:

The guy was good at what he did - he had a booming voice coupled with an accelerated cadence with the intent of building excitement toward a given product.

Having said that, I wish Chair would chime-in and gloat about how glad he is that this asshole is dead.

I was able to tolerate Billy Mays, I found him entertaining. I have a problem tolerating Obama's daily pack of lies covered with B S. He is a real bore.

No big fan of Billy Mays but having spent most of my working life in sales of some sort I do have to give him respect. He was one heck of a sales man. I also have to respect that he always belived in the products he sold, a trait I share with him.

I watched that show of his twice and had NO IDEA that selling that shit on TV could make him so wealthy. The show I saw, he was shopping for a jet I think.

Billy Mays was OK at first for me but when he started dyeing his salt and pepper beard shoe polish black I lost all respect for the guy. The whiter my beard gets the better I and everybody else likes it - right Chris?

Gimme -- that's what I'm told, too. Mine's almost all white now. quite contrast to my still dark hair.

I like beards, as long as they're kind of well-kept -- not some wild bushy mountain man type. lol

I also think gray or white (or salt and pepper) hair color looks good in a beard. Beard hair is coarser and I'd read that's why it tends to lose pigment before the hair on your head does -- hence why a lot of guys will get a gray beard before their head hair turns gray.

A gray beard and/or gray hair on a guy looks distinguished looking, I think.

I don't think guys should try and dye their beards darker to cover up any gray -- much better to have it natural looking. And most women don't care either.
