Of course they're not.
"Nigger" has a deep, dark, nasty history and retains remarkable resonance even today after it's been diluted by homies saturating the word throughout the memesphere thru rap lyrics and the like.
"Honky" on the other hand has almost zero resonance or traction with Spud as a slur.
Spud thinks "Honky" Spud thinks Richard Pryor sketches not actual racist hate.
Similarily, as you note, Phoenix, "Dick" and "Cunt" are no where near equivilant.
A guy can take a perverse pride in being "a bit of a dick" but a woman rarely sez "I'm a real cunt" with any degree of pride. "Dick" is barely an insult unless you add a dimunutive qualifier.
"Cunt", otoh, is the universally agreed upon "Worst Word EVAR" to use in terms of making a disparging comment to a member of the female sex.
"Cunt" is to "Women" as "Nigger" is to "Black Folk"
Yes, Spud gets that.
That noted, the blog-god has cried "Havoc" here and let loose the dawgs of word.
Free Speech is back.
But not consequence free speech.
Never that.
Not physical consequences Spud stresses.
Just the inevitable snark filled retorts that over usage and abusage of sed term will bring.
The decision to use the word itself is indicative of character or lack thereof by Spud's reckoning.
Spud FAILs hisself in all truth by using the word hisself.
But only as a fake mocking term to describe various folks who usually understand the "no harm meant" context and who usually issue back an equally wounding but well meant riposte in a kind of pereniel back and forth fest.
Is bonding thing.
