Meinhardt Raabe (born September 2, 1915) is an American actor. He is one of the oldest surviving Munchkin-actors from The Wizard of Oz, and is now the only surviving cast member with any significant dialogue in the film. He was born in Jefferson County, Wisconsin.

Raabe graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1937. He was the Coroner in The Wizard of Oz in 1939, with his only lines being:

Probably a weird dream caused by something you ate for dinner.

I dreamed I had died at home and woke up in a closed casket, already embalmed. I knew I would really die from the embalming process and I kept detiorating throughout the dream -- which continued after I woke up twice. It was weird

I had beef and vegetable soup for dinner with cornbread and a lemon bar for dessert

Sounds more like a nightmare to me than a dream.

Dreams often have underlying meanings -- they don't mean exactly what you dreamt.

I may look it up. I used to have a couple books on dream interpretations but they are packed away. For instance, the fact you woke up in a coffin doesn't mean that you are going to die. Things represented in a dream are often symbols for entirely different meanings.
