OK, to get away from politics.. this is cool, and technically very interesting. We do electronic service work on Tunnel Boring Machines, and a project just getting started is to tunnel under lake Mead. At some point, the levels in Lake Mead are going to drop below the present intakes, and since it supplies power and water to Las Vegas, that's a big problem. So, a tunnel is being dug underneath the lake to resolve it. Incredibly difficult task which uses an incredible machine, the TBM or Tunnel Boring Machine. There are more of them operating in the US than you might think. But since they work out of sight, you don't notice them much.
