While his critics argue the Fed was partly responsible for letting reckless practices on Wall Street get out of control, the president disagreed.

Well there yah have it folks...Obama doesn't think the Fed is responsible.

This really is our economic 9/11. A major catastrophe happened and there is nobody who is at fault for said catastrophe. So much for accountability I guess.

He was too busy campaigning to notice.

Obama should do another "white house" investigation and then find the Feds have no responsibility.

Maybe O.J. can do it after he finds the real killers.

KENNEDY TRIED TO CHANGE IT

In 1963, President John Kennedy wanted an end to the Federal Reserve System, which had a strangle-hold on the United States and virtually the world. By a simple stroke of the pen, President Kennedy dismissed the Federal Resene System and ordered the U.S. governmcnt to restore its Constitutional-mandate of controlling the money. President Kennedy was dead three weeks later. When President Lyndon Johnson took office, he immediately rescinded Kennedy's order and the Federal Resene won another round.

I think in theory he is correct. The Fed just baited the trap. It was greedy CEO's that fell for it. No one forced CEO's to by derivatives/CDO's. Those who did lost, those who did not are fine.
