(CNSNews.com) President Barack Obama has gone to the golf course at least 11 times since he took the oath of office a little more than six months ago--three rounds were played during the late January, 12-day holiday Obama took with his family in Hawaii; one at Andrews Air Force Base; and seven at Ft. Belvoir Golf Course, including a round on Sunday, Father's Day, with Vice President Joe Biden.

Anyone who plays golf with a blackberry on their hip is a douchebag.

Not like he has any pressing matters to deal with.

My God you repubs will grasp at ANY criticism you can. Do you realize how absolutely childish you seem?

Let's see, 11 rounds over what, 180 days? So he goes out and plays a 4 hour round once every two weeks or so. No one, NO ONE could deal with the amount of shit a president does day in and day out without some sort of release.

I think the reason Bush was criticized for it is because not only did he play golf constantly (can't blame him), but he also spent huge amounts of time on vacation at his ranch clearing brush, mountain biking ect.

If you can show Obama is spending as much leisure time as Bush did, you may have a point. Until then, this is just another sniveling attempt to find some sort of shit to stick on Obama.

Yes, let's keep him locked up in the Oval office for 20 hours a day and let him just snap like a twig. THAT'D be good for the country.

I think the reason Bush was criticized for it is

It was because he said he was giving up playing golf because of the sacrifices the soldiers were making and then he was caught golfing AFTER he made that pledge.

The problem was not Bush's golfing, but his "Thank you. Now watch this drive" attitude after talking about US deaths and war. He didn't even pause.

"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf," he said. "I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."

Bush said he made that decision after the August 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed Sergio Vieira de Mello, the top U.N. official in Iraq and the organization's high commissioner for human rights.

Bush said he laid down his clubs after the August 2003 bombing of United Nations offices in Baghdad that killed the UN's top official in the country, Sergio Vieira de Mello. "I remember when de Mello got killed as a result of these murderers taking this good man's life. I was playing golf - I think in central Texas - and they pulled me off the golf course and I said, 'It's just not worth it any more'."

According to a database held by CBS News the statement is not entirely accurate. He did cut short a round of golf at the 12th hole on that day, but his last recorded game came two months later, October 13.

Let's see of Obama is willing to lie about his handicap like Clinton did.

"It was because he said he was giving up playing golf because of the sacrifices the soldiers were making and then he was caught golfing AFTER he made that pledge."

But but but...Obama is playing golf too....hypocrisy I tell you...damn dems....

LOL I forgot about the "sacrifice" issue.

don't forget about the $20,000+ date night...which even clinton didn't partake in, not to mention either bush.

Who cares if he plays golf or not. As long as he is at the end of my driveway holding that lantern every night, I don't care what he does.

I think that the promise that W made to abstain from golf was an individual choice; not a commitment that no future presidents may play golf.

You stupid fucking whiners.

Even presidents need leisure.

The whole premise of this is stupid.
