Yes, for the most point, as you said -- "people should be allowed to wear what they want" -- but is wearing a burqa what these Muslim woman really want -- or what strict male Muslim men want them to wear? Do you honestly believe 95% of Muslim women would ever want to wear a burqa if given a choice?

These Muslim women may say in public they do prefer burqas but we both know they'd only be saying it out of fear of retaliation by either their own male family members or other strict religious Muslims they would come across while outside of their home.

If these Muslim women wanted to wear a burqa while attending a Muslim religious service then I see no problem with a burqa being worn in a mosque for religious reasons, but in all other public places a burqa should not be allowed.

I read awhile ago a long article on how and inconvenient it is for women to have to dress in a burqa. The bottom of the burqa gets filthy because it's always dragging in the dirt or on the ground, the sleeves are long and hanging and they too are hard to keep clean.

Worse, it's a danger to the woman wearing the burqa when she steps into the street because her side vision is often obscured and she can't always see all the traffic coming her way.

And, face it, when it's over 90 degrees a burqa is TOO DAMN HOT to wear! You'll never get me to believe the majority of Muslim women (especially the younger ones) -- when given a CHOICE OF THEIR OWN -- would pick a burqa over any other type of clothing.

There is a HUGE difference between what a nun wears and a burqa...as in having your whole face covered versus not. Personal identity is derived from face recognition. I never learned karate. I've been in fights with kids that told me they knew it and so forth. I had to teach them the hard way to get re-educated.

A black belt is no match for a nihilistic attitude and pair of doc martens, provided you know when and how to use both.

Of course I used to help clean the Dojo. If you don't the tatame or mats will become filthy and have all kinds of fungus. The Dojo wasn't Master Lee's real job. He was my landlord too. I used to help him do things at the Dojo and he would charge me cheap rent. He was one of the finest Martial artist imo to have ever lived. He had well over 50 years of experience. He was also a very nice man. When other schools charged over 100 a month he charged 45.00 a month. He didn't make any money from it. He just enjoyed sharing his knowledge.
