Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Sunday, June 21, 2009

A drug used in immune therapy has made a remarkable advance in the treatment of far advanced prostate cancer. Ipillmumab has demonstrated an ability to shrink prostate cancer that in some men inoperable cancer is made operable. This has the potential to save the lives of thousands of men annually. The first tests involving 108 men were so impresive that a second test with higher dosages is planned. The results in this first test while certainly encouraging were termed preliminary.

SATYRMAN-Its good to see someone is as wrong in the head as I must be. Sick...

Goatman --

You may have read this website already since you seem to know and love all things "Zappa" -- but perhaps not.

It's a lengthy and detailed opinion/interpretation piece of Zappa's music -- definitely for one who is a diehard fan.

"ZAPPOLOGY - The Music and the Lyrics of Frank Zappa"

Goat --

for some reason the link in #10 opens part of the way down so you'll have to page up when you open it.

Also, the first main link which says: "'ARE' Zappa's own domain" (found just below the list of his music) doesn't work. Other than that....

This is really terrific news for men with advanced prostrate cancer. Usually they'll do a preliminary trial test and it seems to take forever for them to finally put the drug on the market for general use -- understandable since they need to use a good amount of caution.

But if they are fast-tracking this new antibody it must really be showing promising results.

Thanks for the zappa links, cc. I am bookmarking them for future perusal. Right now I am doing all I can to keep my eyes open until 6:00. We've been working on a generator load sharing and synchronization issue for the last few hours and I just came down from an exhausting climb up the derrick.

I'm beat, but will get to the links later. Thanks again.

You're welcome -- they were just meant for you to check out when you had some time to kill. Only 2 and 1/2 more hours and then you can get some sleep. Sometimes I don't know how you manage those 12 hour shifts, 7 days in a row for two weeks straight. But guess it's worth the trade off in time when you get your two weeks off. I could do a 12 hour shift on most nights if I felt really awake, but some nights might be tough. Guess you're used to it by now, though. Your body clock adjusts after awhile.

Well, drink lots of coffee and 6:00 a.m. (your time) will be here before you know it.
