A drug used in immune therapy has made a remarkable advance in the treatment of far advanced prostate cancer. Ipillmumab has demonstrated an ability to shrink prostate cancer that in some men inoperable cancer is made operable. This has the potential to save the lives of thousands of men annually. The first tests involving 108 men were so impresive that a second test with higher dosages is planned. The results in this first test while certainly encouraging were termed preliminary.
