Thank God.

I wonder if this is an indication that the TAliban is beginning to lose their ability to operate. Since the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION PRESSURED THE PAKISTANIS to start fighting back against the Taliban it seems that the Taliban is looking more and more disorganized and incapable of continuing their aggression, which came to within 60 miles of the capital.

Ah yes, the Taliban! Ronald Reagan got them started to get the Evil Empire out of Afghanistan. One can surely see why the Taliban isn't too keen on the New Yawk Times. herm

you're so high. I bet you think 1 speech by the elected one caused Iran to elect the lesser of two evils. gain some perspective. you're not always such a dolt.

He didn't escape, the Taliban let him go because they got tired of his New York Times left wing politically correct bullshit.

Yes, that's why.

Since the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION PRESSURED THE PAKISTANIS to start fighting back against the Taliban

Yeah right. Obama can only kill flies, not create pressure.

They killed 4 commandos violating the peace deal which set off the action. It is impossible that Obama had anything to do with the execution of the 4 soldiers.

Besides, those are OTHER taliban, the Pakistani/Swat taliban. They have no links with the taliban which kidnapped this guy.

The reporter was kidnapped by the real AFGHAN taliban.

The fact that Swat is now 95% free and people are being cleared to return home, has nothing to do with the AFGHAN taliban, whose leaders are peacefully living inside Pakistan and are not being attacked.

OK, so your military is still not really interested in fighting terrorism. Fine, I just hope Americans remember that when you come begging for more foreign aid. I say, no dollars for wimps who won't fight our common enemies.

Yeah right. Obama can only kill flies, not create pressure.

Obama has both the carrot of US aid and the stick of potential increased military action to create pressure.

Spud realises you don't like him but don't underestimate the man or the office he holds.

That would be a BIIIIIIG MISTAKE.

On Topic?

Praise the FSM fer David Rohde's escape here.

Quite frankly Spud had hoped this would occur but wasn't betting on it.

Does this satisfy our DR quota of one less-than-depressing story a day or will there be more good news?

Be Well.

/Totally off-topic?
//We gots 16,000 feedburner readers now?
///Woo Hoo!

OK, so your military is still not really interested in fighting terrorism.

We have kicked the pak-Taliban out of Swat, did we not? We killed 3000 of them last month. And now we are going after Mehsud himself.

But to answer your question, is Pakistan going to fight against the taliban... Afghan-taliban... that attack the US forces?

Nope. Not our problem. Do your own dirty work.

Fine, I just hope Americans remember that when you come begging for more foreign aid.

Oh, Obama will pay no matter what. I can guarantee THAT. LOL

I say, no dollars for wimps who won't fight our common enemies.

You may say... but your Govt. sez different.

Right now, the US Govt. OWES Pak, around $1 billion in unpaid bills. They are going to pay that and then a few billion every now and then as and when needed.

The bill has been signed and passed. hahahahahahaha

The US Govt. will happily send it's own economy to hell, but will not stop paying Israel and Pakistan. LOL

our common enemies

Are you blind.. can't read or something?

US and Pakistan have no common enemies. The two sets of taliban are very different.

Obama has both the carrot of US aid and the stick of potential increased military action to create pressure.

Spud realises you don't like him but don't underestimate the man or the office he holds.

What is happening is that Pakistan and USA are trying very hard to use each other making the "taliban" an excuse.

Pakistan is trying to tap the US for more money... and why not.

US is trying to use the threat of "taliban will getcha and we can help you out of it" to get Pakistan to help out with their strategic objectives.

From what we are seeing here, Obama is doing a piss-poor job of it.

So, yes, I can happily disregard this fool.

Underestimating Pakistan... which did in 2 months what the US couldn't do in 8 years.... would be a BIIIIIIG MISTAKE.

See Taliban headquarters in Swat destroyed.

It's in english.

www.youtube.com

I repeat for the slow-witted. These are not the Afghan-taliban that kidnapped the reporter. These are far more vicious.

Btw, Spud.... there is a rumor going on that you and I are the same guy. LOL

Say it ain't true!

Underestimating Pakistan... which did in 2 months what the US couldn't do in 8 years.... would be a BIIIIIIG MISTAKE.

BIIIIIG difference between couldn't and didn't.

Although, to be fair you are correct in the sense that an outside entity invading bombing and occupying a foreign country is recipe for disaster. A move that will inevitably cause more problems than it solves.

Problems in Pakistan must ultimately be solved by the people of Pakistan if one wants those solutions to work in th long term.

Vietnam taught some of us that basic lesson.

Btw, Spud.... there is a rumor going on that you and I are the same guy. LOL

Say it ain't true!

Well, like Clark Kent and Superman we have never been seen together at the same time so maybe we are the same guy.

Actually, it's totally untrue Spud is waaaaaay uglier than Tosser.

And shorter!

Plus Spud prefers brunettes to blondes.

So there you have it, definitive proof that Tosser and Spud aint the same guy.

^_^

Be Well.

/Red heads are dreamy too but their tempers are fiercesome!!!

shit. tosser is arguing with himself again.

So there you have it, definitive proof that Tosser and Spud aint the same guy.

THANK YOU!

Red heads are dreamy too but their tempers are fiercesome!!!

Really? I want one of those too!

When a gal is angry, her eyes really shine. I think it's lovely.

Your post has been flagged for mentioning "goat" to a beef-eater from a country of beef-eaters.

Sorry.. I couldn't resist.

I warned Vermin, but he just wouldn't let up about animal-sex with goats and incest.

He has been banned... again... thanks to me.

Anyone who wants to follow Vermin is welcome to ask me to help them out.

He didn't escape...he was released once they figured out that he was their "inside reporter" for the NYT.

Seriously, I'm glad he got away. It will be interesting to see what kind of articles/books that he produces now after his experience.

He didn't escape...he was released

What is the chance he is some "manchurian candidate"?

Maybe they read a few issues and decided this was an ally.

that ol' Verno was banned because of his comments to jerrytarkanian, not you.

His first two dumps came out of my encounters. Any gentle breeze could have knocked him over after those two dumps.

Both your posts are flagged. Some shit's got to stick.
