Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

On his HBO show Friday night, Bill Maher complained about President Obama's frequent public outings. He compared the president to Lindsay Lohan: in the papers a lot but not doing very much. "This is not what I voted for," Maher said, arguing that Obama has maintained his personal popularity but failed to make real progress on health care, banks, or climate change. "What he needs in his personality is a little George Bush ...

Wow. If this blathering moonbat can come to his senses, then there's hope for the rest of you mindless robots. Obama isn't doing shit, and now even some of the smarter lefties are catching on.

Obama is the empty suit he was portrayed as during the election. Organizing a community was the bright spot on his resume. Well that, and the Hope and Change slogan his sycophants hung their hats on.

"What he needs in his personality is a little George Bush ..."

Now he's gone and done it. This should break up the Letterman apology thread.

Righties, don't get sucked into this.

hey bill - you get what you pay for! all your ideas STILL suck hind teat.

Does anyone really think Maher believes the shit he is slinging? Watch his ratings the next few weeks. He is a liberal shill and would never go against "the family". He is wrong - actually big ears has been very active in continuing the destruction of the country - actually accelerating it.

Who speaks for the Democrats these days?

counting the days until Obama shows up on Maher's show to apologize for challenging him.

So, suddenly all the knuckledraggers (which isn't easy for a fish) love Bill Maher?

How funny is that?

OF course, when Maher complains that Obama isn't doing what Maher wants him to do, those things are not the same things that Tighties want him to do.

Maher is just keeping his far left bonfides up by joining the whining about how Obama has not in his first 6 months gotten us out of Iraq completely, ditto Afghanistan, made peace in the Middle East, cured the recession, passed single payer, and solved don't ask don't tell.

The last apparently being the final straw.... Obama has been lazy, and with nothing else to do has not addressed gay issues as much as some would like. Yet.

This is nothing new. Rachel Maddow started in on him about 10 minutes after the inauguration.

Lotta Lefties seem to think that what he is doing is easy, prolly something to do with short term memory loss.

i don't love maher - he's still a misguided soul - obambino's not moving fast enough for him.

"..like they do on cribs.."

LOL

This oughta get the O'tards in a tizzy.

Guess I was right.

prolly something to do with short term memory loss.

smoking too much pot again?

Did you say something, Vermin? Or is that just an echo from the voices in your head?

Guess the "knuckledraggers" remark hit home, lmao.

"Maher is just keeping his far left bonfides up...."

OK Corky, just what has Obama done besides vomit money like a trillion drunken sailors -- and expand Bush's policies?

Nobody thinks Maher is a hero, but he poses legitimate questions -- and he's jealous of Rush Limbaugh -- that's why the Messiah will show up on his show and get on his knees to beg forgiveness.

I don't know if I've ever seen someone whine so much about their president getting criticized. Maybe BushLover2.

Or is that just an echo from the voices in your head?

Guess the "knuckledraggers" remark hit home, lmao.

A non-answer is proof of an inability to answer. No legitimate comeback; a surrender.

Kinda like calling names, ehh CorkScrew?

lmao -- I doubt it. If true, you are easily amused and have the IQ of a bar of soap

So frakking funny. Squirmin' Vermin starts out with as lowbrow a post (#13) as one can imagine, then wants to ask questions.

Tell ya what, Sally, go wash your mouth out that bar of soap and maybe I'll answer your self-serving, asinine non-questions.

Not to stir the pot, but....

A Bad Call on Gay Rights

Lotta Lefties seem to think that what he is doing is easy

Being completely full of shit IS easy. That's the problem.

So frakking funny.

Sorry Cork, but you were an an unapologetic whore for Hillary! for more than a year. Then, when the result was obvious, you switched teams and proclaimed your undying love for ObamaMania

The truth about your spineless politicking is, I'm sure, embarrassing. ( the root words being BARE ASS)

But trying to deny it and argue it only makes you look more foolish.

Be honest -- at least with yourself. You loved Hillary! for purely symbolic reasons (she's a girl!!!!). And you now love Obama! for purely partisan reasons (he's more brown than me!!!!!).

You cannot offer any consistent defense of his policies so far. Thus, name calling. And lame ones, too.

Somewhere, outside of your muddy realm of politicks is reality.

Slowly Obama supporters are wising up. Let's just hope it is not too late when they all figure it out.

-you switched teams

Poor Vermin. Can't tell a Dem Primary from a general election. There was very little difference between Clinton and Obama on the issues. I was sure that Clinton's election would make Verm's ilk squirm in their shallow end of the gene pool, but Obama, especially with Clinton as SoS, has been even more effective at producing the vile, often violent reactions that I expected from the knuckledraggers with the election of a highly popular Dem Pres.

What Vermin offers here is a view into what an old fashioned redneck misogynist racist "mind" looks like.

And it ain't perdy.

-Thus, name calling

hahahahaha! See Verm's last few posts, particularly #13.

"has not addressed gay issues as much as some would like. Yet."

He hasn't addressed them at all, not just "as much as some would like." In fact, he's defended the defense of marriage act per hagbard's link above. How many months will you give him before he no longer gets the benefit of "yet?"

"What Vermin offers here is a view into what an old fashioned redneck misogynist racist "mind" looks like."

And here's the face (wallet) that only a Thai Ladyboy STD grab-bag from the poor section of Bangkok could "love"!

"Lotta Lefties seem to think that what he is doing is easy, prolly something to do with short term memory loss."

I get impatient myself, have to remind myself that there was a WORLDWIDE CREDIT CRISIS going on when he entered the office. I believe the President has been acting responsible, moving foward with his agenda at the fastest rate possible in the economic environment that exists today. Do any of the Obama voters now think they would have been better off with McCain/Palin running things???

danni - this nation has had a cancer for a very long time - mccain/palin would only have been like chemotherapy treatments - slowing our death - this admin has refused treatments - hence we die quicker - isn't that nice?

In fact, he's defended the defense of marriage act per hagbard's link above. How many months will you give him before he no longer gets the benefit of "yet?"

My money is on 96.

The partisan game is that you will always settle for zero progress on any or all issues as long as the "other side" can be characterized as a guaranteed step back on those issues.

0 is better than -1.

h.c. - he's playing both sides of the fence.

h.c. - he's playing both sides of the fence.
#30 | Posted by nanc

No he's not. He's a centrist as I'm continually reminded.

Wait, does that mean the same thing?

Clinton was just a celebrity. Obama's actually managed to be destructive between his appearances so he's a little worse than a do-nothing celebrity.

Both are still hands down better than the jackass we had in between them but that ain't saying much.

Would we have been better off with McCain? Hard to say. I doubt it.

That's why I voted Nader.

-#28 | Posted by nanc

Sooooo, Nanc and Raystradamus are dating?

#31 | Posted by Hagbard_Celine

he didn't run as a centrist.

Of course he ran as a centrist. He backpedaled from the Lib talk of the primary where he was positioned left of Clinton, and ran as the centrist Dem he is in the general.

he didn't run as a centrist.
#34 | Posted by nanc

uhm... I wish. he'd have had a shot at my vote if he hadn't.

only a shot though. I can spot b.s. from 1000 yards.

What can I say? Takes one to know one.

Let's just hope it is not too late when they all figure it out.

#23 | Posted by KBM

They're too stupid to remember the word....CHANGE.

#35 | Posted by Corky

a centrist dem is still left.

a centrist dem is still left.
#38 | Posted by nanc

If you're going to base the characterization on comparison to you, then everybody is left.

Obama is just living up to his credentials.

Nothing in nothing out.

Obama does do a pretty good teleprompter though!

nanc thought Mussolini was a Lefty.

#41 | Posted by Corky

Get out of my head!!!

That was EXACTLY what I was going to say then had a change of heart.

Mussolini was a Lefty.
#42 | Posted by STIRSUMUP

That's why I had the change of heart.

"By the time Mussolini returned from Allied service in World War I, he had decided that socialism as a doctrine had largely been a failure. In early 1918, Mussolini called for the emergence of a man "ruthless and energetic enough to make a clean sweep" to revive the Italian nation.[14] Much later in life Mussolini said he felt by 1919 "Socialism as a doctrine was already dead; it continued to exist only as a grudge".[15] On March 23, 1919, Mussolini reformed the Milan fascio as the Fasci Italiani di Combattimento (Italian Combat Squad), consisting of 200 members.[14]

The Fascisti, led by one of Mussolini's close confidants, Dino Grandi, formed armed squads of war veterans called Blackshirts (or squadristi) with the goal of restoring order to the streets of Italy with a strong hand. The blackshirts clashed with communists, socialists and anarchists at parades and demonstrations; all of these factions were also involved in clashes against each other. The government rarely interfered with the blackshirts' actions, owing in part to a looming threat and widespread fear of a communist revolution."

en.wikipedia.org

yeah, really a Lefty... well, maybe, compared to some around here....

With Tyranny on the far Left and Anarchy on the far Right I'd say Mussolini was left of Omama, but not far left.

-Mussolini was left of Omama

Someone who thinks Jonah Goldberg is an intellectual and a philosopher, rather than a nonsensical momma's boy and a revisionist hack.

Obama, especially with Clinton as SoS, has been even more effective at producing the vile, often violent reactions that I expected from the knuckledraggers with the election of a highly popular Dem Pres.

10/10 for that bit of sense, Corky.

This is nothing new. Rachel Maddow started in on him about 10 minutes after the inauguration.

The difference is that for the previous eight years the right wing moonbat media outlets sucked Bush's dick on a consistent basis.

It is refreshing to see them holding Obama accountable after 8 years of unaccountability.

Do any of the Obama voters now think they would have been better off with McCain/Palin running things???

She could have fixed health care since she once saw a hospital.

Let' see......
1. A senile confrontational old fart that only knows one thing: tax breaks for billionaires.

2. A stupid skank that once saw a book on something possibly relating to government.

3. A Congress where Republicans are scarce as heterosexuals at a Rtard political convention.

Yeah,

We'd be MUCH better off with those clowns.

"he didn't run as a centrist."

How would you know NANC, you're so far to the right of center that it is out of sight.

danni - i'm socially an eentsy-teensy bit left of center on most political compass-type tests. i'm certainly more centrist than most people here.

maybe obamaczar will make brad pitt hospital czar after his big donation to a hospital in missouri this week? and angelina could be hospital nursery czar!

FF for Nanc's #53!! You kidder!

why i'm as fair as i am lovely. i'll bet!

sorry Nanc you are NOT anywhere near the Left or even close to the center of the political scale..

"danni - i'm socially an eentsy-teensy bit left of center on most political compass-type tests. i'm certainly more centrist than most people here.

#53 | Posted by nanc "

Well let's find out. I bet you're not. What's your score?

politicalcompass.org

so i moved a little to the right since the last time i took it:

politicalcompass.org

i AM more centrist than most here.

I took that quiz awhile back. I would argue with the pretense of most of the questions. Doesn't fit me.

"so i moved a little to the right since the last time i took it:

politicalcompass.org

i AM more centrist than most here."

Well that's not as bad as I thought, Nanc. You're still an rtard, but at least not an uber-rtard, like Murphy, Jacque, etc.

There you go Nanc. Go pull a cork after that compliment. They don't come often.

he's crazy about me.

p.s. - if there was a "who gives a shit" answer in the answers, i probably would have landed square in the middle.

hey null - why not post YOUR results?

My results were something around minus 6 or 7 on both scales, putting me in the left-libertarian quadrant.

post your results as i did.

I'll take Liberty over Tyranny any day and twice on Sunday.

In fact--I'll take anarchy over totalitarism--which is Obama's side of the spectrum.

My results were something around minus 6 or 7 on both scales, putting me in the left-libertarian quadrant.

Don't you mean left-looooosertarian quadrant? =)

"post your results as i did."

No. They're secret.

"post your results as i did.

No. They're secret.

Don't force us to have to resort to waterboarding.

A prominent lefty takes Obama to task fer his his under-performance to date?

Good fer Bill, sez Spud.

This is one of the key differences between the left and the right.

A righty will defend to the death the dumb ideas of a guy like Bush even if they think them terrible ideas simply because he's on "their side".

A lefty is much more likely to offer up constructive criticism of someone like Obama regardless of whether they are on "his team".

Maher is right.

Obama has the political power to be Bush in Reverse.

Jamming good ideas instead of lousy ones down the throat of a bloated do-nothing congress and senate.

But he doesn't.

Obama needs to spend less time in front of the cameras and more time behind the scenes making things happen and not just half-assed piece meal efforts either.

Be Well.

Yeah Spud, none of us conservatives ever had a problem with Bush's immigration stance, the bailouts, limited troop numbers sent into Iraq, prescription drug program, Harriet Myers, etc.

How the left has been silent after the shit Obama has done has me wondering if lefties really even care about america or are just blood thirsty for power.

spud - barely a soul on the left is criticizing this potus and if you want ANY commentary on what he's doing wrong you HAVE to get it from fox news - mebelieves he thinks he's above reproach as in inspectorgeneralgate.

barely a soul on the left is criticizing this potus and if you want ANY commentary on what he's doing wrong you HAVE to get it from fox news ...

#72 | Posted by nanc

I think if you watched something OTHER than Fox News you might be surprised. Shultz, Maddow, and even Matthews have been pretty critical of some things lately.

He is still better than McCain. We still might get socialism if Obama would just get off his ass.

I actually don't need socialism but since I hate republicans so much I want it to make them suffer. I'd be willing to negatively affect my lifestyle to have it. They could take half my income and I'd be alright with it just knowing republicans here would be suffering.

#73 | Posted by SanAntonioRogue

chris matthews of the "leg tingle"? he's hardly objective.

rasta - mccain would have taken u.s. slower into the new world. we could live on half our income, but would have to move back to our mountain which wouldn't bother me in the least - plenty of garden space and wildlife to shoot, kill and eat!

nanc sounds all fine and dandy but your kids might want a little more. Even if they have college scholarships they still need money for odds and ends like new clothes.

rasta - nice of you to be concerned, but they know this world holds nothing for them - we will occupy and always have more than enough. believe what i say or not, but this nation is under severe judgment and it may get better for a time, but we've been weighed in the balance. mene mene tekel upharsin.

"but they know this world holds nothing for them"

So why haven't you all just drank the Koolaid and joined jeebus already?

You sound more and more like the Duggar idiots. The end times aren't coming. You would be better off telling your kids to get an education and make something of themselves otherwise they will end up like their parents.

they are getting an education and making something of themselves - we aren't just rolling over and dying for crying out loud! we enjoy life and all it holds and never lack for anything. i cannot count the languages our son speaks, nor the musical instruments he plays - our daughter is Christ and sportsminded - their lives are more full than most. we're not bad just because we're different from you, rasta.

Not just different than me but different from the rest of the country.

A righty will defend to the death the dumb ideas of a guy like Bush even if they think them terrible ideas simply because he's on "their side".

A lefty is much more likely to offer up constructive criticism of someone like Obama regardless of whether they are on "his team".
