Just want to jump in with my 2 cent analysis. You pay these hookers for their "services" and whatever they do with the money you pay them is what anyone does with money they earn "on the job" -- pay bills, feed their kids, etc. -- just like anyone else. You call it a "contribution" but it's not.

If you wanted to "contribute to a good cause" you would do just that -- "contribute" -- which means expecting nothing else in return and that includes sex for money paid. That's just you way of trying to justify to yourself using hookers.

But there will always be hookers who for a variety of reasons (lack of an education, etc.) will need to resort to the world's oldest profession to be able to pay their rent and feed their kids so that will never change.

The REAL question I feel you need to ask yourself is why you don't want to get emotionally involved with a woman. That's why many men prefer hookers. There are no expectations of any emotional ties or awkward questions of "Are you going to phone me later this week?" or "Are we going to see each other again?" It's purely a business transaction with no emotions attached. You need to ask yourself why you want an emotionless relationship.

When a prostitute makes her services available to you for a fee you are not obligated to give anything emotional of yourself and to them none are expected. That seems to be what you want and you need to ask yourself why. Were you emotionally hurt badly before by some girl?

We all have had relationships where we have been hurt and in relationships where we have hurt others. That's life. Prostitutes allow you to set up a protective barrier around yourself -- allowing no emotions and/or love to ever get past it.

That old saying "Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all" is telling you the hurt you may have a few times in your lovelife can be worth the pain when there will also be a chance in your future of experiencing the real joy of loving someone.

There are no guarantees you won't be hurt in the future but you'll never know about the highs you can get from having really been in love if you're too afraid to take a chance on having to also deal with the lows of a relationship that maybe won't work out. Give some regular girl a chance sometime -- one where you don't have to pay for her sexual favors and then never see her again. You should give yourself more credit. You'll find someone nice to marry and have kids with some day but not if you spend all your free time only with the "ladies of the evening."

Mr. "put out or get out" Jackass/Rasta is a lost cause. Emotionally he's stuck in high school, so to speak, as far as women are concerned.

He's told us the story about how he was raised so it isn't hard to understand his psychological makeup when it comes to relationships. Knowing what we do, it's no small wonder that he has an arrested social development.

The "woman's side" is very far removed from Rasta's thought process. Non-existant, actually. He still refers to women as "broads" which is probably the way he honestly feels.

I find it difficult to fault Rasta for seeking out the services of a prostitute from time to time. Men in general will always prefer the feel of a woman over masturbation if given the opportunity, even if they have to pay for it.

I do fault him, however, for not stepping back and taking a good hard look at himself. Sometimes I'd like to reach through the screen and tell him to "read a book, for christ's sake."

When a man tells a woman to "put out or get out" on the third date (as in, if you don't this relationship is over) a woman automatically knows that this guy isn't interested in anything but sweating up the sheets . . . and she's more than happy to be rid of him. While guys like Rasta are congratulating themselves for throwing her to the curb (before he spends any more money on her), she's counting her lucky stars that she got rid of him that essy.

That's a concept that Rasta just doesn't understand (among many other things). His whole modus operandi is totally screwed up.

I wish him luck. I hope someday he reaches the mental maturity he needs. Right now, from what he tells us, his juvenile approach to women needs a lot of work.

As to your #95 . . . I don't believe a word you just said. It just sounds like a bunch of excuses you've made up to excuse yourself from taking responsibility. It boils down to your juvenile attitude . . . "It's all her fault!"

Somewhere under that horrible facade you put up, I think there's probably a fairly nice guy. But you're such a mass of complexes, you don't know how to put long term objectives ahead of short term goals (throbbing penis).

I am completely sympathetic with the fact that you grew up without any solid building blocks to guide you as you got older. Lord know a lot of people have been in that boat. . . both men and women.

Eventually, if you're smart, you'll start looking inward. Because that's where all the answers are.

If you're not smart, you'll continue along, making excuses and "pestering" other men on the Retort to meet up with you for a meaningless night of beer and frolic at the local whore houses. You are the one who is needy.

You really need to buckle down and identify what's really wrong . . . and then take steps to fix it.
