Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

There are obviously various reasons for this concern as to whether the world can continue to feed itself, but one of them is undoubtedly the downturn in world temperatures, which has brought more cold and snow since 2007 than we have known for decades.

It is now more than 200 years since the great astronomer William Herschel observed a correlation between wheat prices and sunspots. When the latter were few in number, he noted, the climate turned colder and drier, crop yields fell and wheat prices rose. In the past two years, sunspot activity has dropped to its lowest point for a century. One of our biggest worries is that our politicians are so fixated on the idea that CO2 is causing global warming that most of them haven't noticed that the problem may be that the world is not warming but cooling, with all the implications that has for whether we get enough to eat.

Nothing to worry about. Obama's on the job.

RIR has unknowingly (as usual) posted yet more proof the global warming is not something that can be dismissed by the Rtard parrots.

The fact that the sunspot cycle is at its lowest right now and the climate as a result has a respite from the CO2 caused heating means one thing....IT IS GOING TO GET HOTTER AS THE SUNSPOT CYCLE RESUMES!!!

Thanks, RIR, for further proof that global warming is real and something to take seriously. You don't have to agree on what causes it, but doing something about it besides expelling a lot of hot air would be a good idea.

Ummm . . . what? Can you even read?

You're a pathetic person, really. Never mind. I'll just let you rant on.

RiWrong,

You are a fucking idiot but you claim to understand charts and figures, right?

Sunspot cycle 23 is currently at what most observers think is it's bottom. Cycle 24 starts with the next upswing of sunspot activity.

What happens when the cooling effect of the low of a 28 year sunspot cycle goes away and the CO2 load and its associated heating stays the same?

Are you honest enough to answer?

The heating's not going to stay the same. Cycle 24 is supposed to be below average in intensity.

Ah, well. Between the libbies' love of biofuels, new cap-and-trade legislation designed to cut down on CO2, and their slavish devotion to enriching Al Gore, there's a lot of money to be made. Tack onto that Obama's demolition of the dollar, and the ags have only one place to go. Up, up, and away.

And the shithead parrots Flush Rimjob instead of answering truthfully. What a surprise!!!!

RisWrong,

What is this 'the heating is not going to stay the same' stuff? Are you channeling Orally now, too?

This bandaid of Cap and Trade is just another scam by the rat-bastards who gave us the CBOE and pork belly futures. It will do next to nothing except enrich cocksuckers like you.

May 8, 2009 -- The Solar Cycle 24 Prediction Panel has reached a consensus decision on the prediction of the next solar cycle (Cycle 24). First, the panel has agreed that solar minimum occurred in December, 2008. This still qualifies as a prediction since the smoothed sunspot number is only valid through September, 2008. The panel has decided that the next solar cycle will be below average in intensity, with a maximum sunspot number of 90.

Didn't know Orally was working for NOAA. He must be like megatalented.
