Washington, D.C. - Congressman Ron Paul's Federal Reserve Transparency Act, HR 1207, has reached and surpassed the level of 218 cosponsors in the House of Representatives, which means it is now cosponsored by a majority of the members.

The 218th cosponsor was Dennis Kucinich (OH-10), and the bill has since received its 222nd cosponsor.

"The tremendous grass-roots and bipartisan support in Congress for HR 1207 is an indicator of how mainstream America is fed up with Fed secrecy," said Congressman Paul. "I look forward to this issue receiving greater public exposure."

Hearings on Federal Reserve transparency are expected within the next month, as part of the Financial Services Committee's series of hearings on regulatory reform.

This is amazing news! Pressure is being applied and the support is growing.

HR1207 and S513 are not about left or right. If you care about fixing government, HR1207 is the first step down that road. If you care about the little people in this country and not about bankers, you have to call your Reps and support 1207 and S.513 (Bernie Sanders) in the Senate. The Federal Reserve is the root of all fiscal problems in this country. It's time to fight back and find out where we stand...for our children's sake.

this is great news! i know the tea partiers have been working o.t. on this issue, writing letters and calling EVERY DAY!

This is a "OMG WTF" video.

Obama's new Inspector General for the Federal Reserve being questioned by a Democrat. And to think this is the same administration that wants to run health care and appoints a new CEO to GM who knows nothing about cars.

God help us!

Just remember it was a Democrat President that allowed this "Federal Reserve" creation bill in the first place...

grandstanding that will amount to nothing.

Call me when they get to vetoproof cosponsorship because that's exactly what Obama would do with this bill if it got to his desk. Which it won't.

Did Nancy Pelosi sign this bill?

She took out the amendment to NOT release the photos for 5 years on the military spending bill.

She could dump this too--since she doens't care about our troops--she certainly doesn't care about the taxpayers.
