Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

A mere twelve weeks had passed since he gaveled the close of the second International Conference on Climate Change in NYC. Yet last Tuesday found Joseph Bast already delivering the opening speech to its follow-up event, again featuring an elite group of scientists, economists and politicians gathered to discuss climate science and policy. But this time he stood in DC's Washington Court Hotel, just blocks away from the chamber in which Democrats will soon attempt to pass the very legislation compelling this urgent session the Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade bill.

This article is really long, but it's a must read for anyone with a strong interest in the science of global warming and the unfathomably costly 'Cap and Trade' legislation that is proposed to deal with the problem.

Hopefully some of you will take the time to read the article and comment in a thoughtful way.

Excellent article, because it refutes the global warming bullshit with facts and reason.

That alone will drive the Lefty eco-freaks batshit crazy. They like to pretend that they have all the science on their side, when all they have are parochial interests and fear mongering.

One great line:

"...policymakers should be paying much more attention to real world observations than to theoretical projections."

I (maybe I'm an optimist) see the ice cracking (pun intended) on this human induced global warming nonsense.

The emperor (think either penguins or Al Gore) isn't wearing any clothes.. he never has.

the fact they changed everything from "global warming" to "climate change" in the twinkling of an eye is suspect at best. we live in a world of semantics now. watch what we say...

Hope and change

SUCKERS

Jeff - I read it.

It is a well collected article laying out the con position.

I've addressed most of these arguments before, as have others.

(really into the game right now!)

Thanks for checking it out, Yav.

Hopefully you'll have an opportunity to comment more fully.

I am more concerned with the policy aspect than the science aspect regarding your thoughts.

Funny, after years of denyng any nam-mae change in CO2 levels, the deniers now proclaim yes there really is an increase in CO2, tanks to man's actions, but it's a GOD thing.

Like the Pittsburgh steel bosses who said they didn't trust air they couldn't see, the right manufactures its own reality.
