and
Whose weapons are they?
The US govt or the VFW?
They should be inventoried and tracked.
They belong to us.

They must already be tracked, perhaps this may simply be a sloppy infiltration into illegal weapons trading? I would presume that many of you gun-toters are educated and often work in a field where guns are de facto present. The same would apply with veterans, their friends abroad, their family, probably throughout their entire lives. They would presumably have better access to who, where and how illegal weapons trading operates which makes them as much of a liability as an asset.
Imo, a new "face" is being painted here. A "less able to shoot you dead with his military issue boom stick" kind of face. Since they are going to do this without public consent I will assume that commanders at the highest levels do not want a citizenry that can fight it's own volunteer military, so they'll probably import National Guard and outsource our forces at the same time. Imagine the hilarity if something terrifying really does occur, mass-panic ensues whereby citizens need to take up arms in defense.. only, there won't be arms to be taken up in some of the most tactically capable of hands. Irony or baloney? Fortunately there are loads of catalyst forces from which to choose to start our Smoldering Americana Sojourn. We've got our selection from natural disasters, industrial accidents, objects falling from orbit to military biohazards, luggage nukes with matching EMP and classy P210 atomizer, mysterious agency quarantines and subsequent dirty bombings, fanatic terrorist dramas from within Mosques, Churches and Synagogues, or even a lovely array of suicide families, local cells and delightful single gun Sinatras. I'm still holding out for a zombie plague or some British gay bomb - speak of which, I just saw Sashas crotch in Eminems face. Now, that's Kyles money..
"Please do not try and hide this as all weapons and equipment not accounted for will be reported to the FBI and BATF as stolen military equipment," writes Dan West, retired Sgt. USMC. "I am hopeful that I need not remind anyone of the severity of punishment that can be administered or the legal bills resulting from individuals or elected officers of the Post having possession of stolen military weapons."
For TACOM to perform thousands of embarrassing prosecutions is ridiculous. Whomever winds up with this sorry duty must perform with elegance and tact, but you know how far you can tip-toe in swamp boots.. not very.
