There is supposed to be brain plasticity, so that people who engage in an activity controlled by a particular area find that it thickens as do muscles. So for example, cabbies in London have a particular uniformity due to remembering all of the streets.
Now since Sotomayor's alleged deprivation during childhood predicated on her having been raised among Puerto Ricans may have compromised development of certain areas of her brain related to intellectual activity, the question arises if someone with such limitations "feels," has empathy for other people with similar impediments to intellectual development, and further if the intellectually limited merit a representative.

Well, she's a woman, a Latina, has a dark complexion, is physically ugly, was raised in a project and knows street talk and street people, may be a lesbian according to some rumors which would be another asset if true, has been found to have a disagreeable personality by her judicial peers and attorneys and litigants appearing before her, is a bully, was appointed by a mulatto, and there is a list of other distinguishing attributes few or none of which would have previously be considered assets, but this is the dawn of the post-Aquarian Age, so it is time to appoint another lightweight hack incompetent with the correct ideological bent. Let's form a "Gringos for Sotomayor" committee to inundate the media and politicians offices with demands for her appointment. Oh, an afterthought. As a brittle-boned woman, she'll also be a voice for the impaired and disabled. You've heard of twofers and threefers, well she is so great a -fer that you cannot even count the ways for determining the meritorious nature of her multiple diversities.
