Microsoft reported finding 31 flaw that affect various parts of its operating program. Internet Explorer, Office and Windows itself are susceptible to attack. The biggest impact is said to be Business users that must determine whether the patches will harm other software that will cause entire networks to crash. Individual computers are not thought to be at such risk. This is the greatest number of flaw Microsoft has ever found and released at one time.

Microsoft Corp issued software to fix 31 security flaws in its programs, a single-day record for the company whose products are targeted by hackers because they sit on the vast majority of computers.

When you design software that has so many open holes you are asking for it.

It's been a rough week for me. Microsoft makes deploying patches across the enterprise very easy but I've also had to deal with patches/hotfixes from Apple, Adobe, VMWare and McAfee. It's a busy week.

No friggin wonder it took so long to update it last night.
