Stories that get a lot of comments stay around longer on the righthand column.

I haven't deleted any Wal-Mart stories. They didn't get promoted to the front page and eventually scrolled off the back.

Walmart is a retailer selling goods that would have been bought anyway even if they didn't open a single store so to say that they are "creating" jobs is not really true. They are really just forcing other companies to lay off employees by pulling business away from them by using their huge buying power to undercut the prices of other retailers. In other eras we would call them monopolisitic and force them to break up into several smaller companies in order to encourage more competition.
