As Wal-Mart Stores Inc. opens about 150 new or expanded stores in the U.S. in 2009, the company expects to hire about 22,000 people for new positions.

Those positions include plenty of cashiers and stock clerks, but the world's largest retailer will also be adding store managers, pharmacists and personnel workers.

Welcome to WalMart.

......great..........

......more cheap crap for us.....more money for communist China........

.......which just goes to prove that the commies are right when they say that a capitalist is someone who will sell you the rope to hang him with.......

Those rejection letters you guys got must have been brutal, but sodomy is sodomy, and most corporations frown on it.

22,000 Walmart jobs = 21,999 more than Obama Stimulus

perhaps your post will do better than mine!

honestly though, if a person is fortunate enough to get to the point of full time and benefits it is worth it according to the folks i know who've been with them for many years.

one lady makes in the six figures and travels the world just purchasing. another young man barely out of h.s. went to work at corporate and is making a lotta loot. and if you have stock options! WOW!

it seems most of the libs in here want it handed to them , they don't want to have to work for it.

We agree!
Sincerely,

BOA and Shiti.

Chickenbrain, you have no idea about any libs on this site. To pretend that they have a common characteristic and then to attack them for your projected commonality is what we call creating a straw man.

You, my friend, have proven that you are nowhere near smart enough to creat a decent straw man.

Go collect some eggs farm boy.

What is it now, seven bucks an hour, minus bennies, potty breaks but plus food stamps? Wal-mart tries desperately, with meds at cost and some other gimmick I've forgotten, to rehabilitate a totally dead image, but respectable people still don't set foot inside. herm

Go downtown to the Salvation Army for a hot meal and and a safe bed. Christians there will help preserve your dignity against honest work.

but respectable people still don't set foot inside. herm

you silly turd.

Anybody who goes to Walmart does it to save money.

Compared to what? Target? Sears?

Do you pay more for some stupid political reason? What is the definition of stupid?

what a silly, doddering old fool.

Where do you buy your diapers Herm?

When one is chronically unemployed, working or shopping at Walmart offers more respect than they'll get from Hermie.

You seem to have a touch of snobbishness about Walmart, Herm. I've shopped at Walmart not more than a dozen times, but I don't see a connection with respectability.
