The suspect in custody in connection with the slaying of abortion doctor George Tiller was a member of an anti-government group in the 1990s and a staunch opponent of abortion.

Anti Government except for the 2nd amendment..

Just a point of clarification ZAP.. the 2nd amendment limits government.. so that analogy doesn't really make sense.

Roeder is a nut, period. No responsible anti-abortion group either condones or supports what he did. None, and the left's silly attempts at saying otherwise are inane.

Dr. Tiller was a horrible person for doing what he did by killing babies that would have survived outside the womb; most abortion doctors consider what he did unethical. It's really difficult to imagine a person that would do that not once, but hundreds of times for money.

Tiller should have been arrested and not protected by the then governor of Kansas; but no-one has the right to walk up to anyone and shoot them. Roeder is a nut.

So the 2nd is not part of the fabric of the US government.

A document that is part of government whether limiting or not is in fact part of the US government. I'm quite confident Roeder would concur with the 2nd and it is part of the US doctrine...

Remember the FBI warning about rightwing domestic terrorists?

Seems they were right....

Roeder also was a subscriber to Prayer and Action News, a magazine that advocated the justifiable homicide position, said publisher Dave Leach, an anti-abortion activist from Des Moines.

Hmm wonder if this magazine and all it's suscribers are on the Terrorist Watch List? Sounds like a Terror Organization to me.

I'm going get a red rose for St. Tiller's day!

"member of an anti-government group"

gee, that narrows it down to about 300 million cohorts
