I live in NC and have osteoarthritis as the result of a couple of botched operations on my ankle after I shattered it and also broke my leg in an auto accident.

They finally got the ankle working right after four tries, but now it hurts constantly from all the stuff they had to do to it.

Pot helps the pain, but where I live the cops are radically into the war on drugs and seem to search a pretty high percentage of the cars they ticket. They just got a new FLIR equipped helicopter and need to raise the revenue to pay for it.

I don't need the legal problems, so I leave the herb alone.

I never understood what the big deal about medical marijuana is. It takes a real dirtbag to be opposed to providing marijuana to people with health issues for pain relief.

Thanks I was getting confused on the whole area grown to useable pot issue. I would have to try and find a dispensiary since I don't own 100sq feet of land or anything near that where I could grow. Also not sure even if it were legal I would be ok growing because I have three kids.
