General David Petraeus said this past weekend that President Obama's decision to close down Gitmo and end harsh interrogation techniques would benefit the United States in the broader war on terror.

Lib America Hater! It's always blame America first with these guys!

Will the noble General Petraeus, master of the surge, shining hero of the GOP after he was so viciously smeared by MoveOn.org now feel the wrath of the Limbaugh?

He did agree with something Obama wants to do, whatever it was, so will Rush brand him a BetrayUs after all and cast him into outer darkness along with the rest of the RINOs?

They'll have to ignore what Petraeus said and pretend it didn't happen. It's the only viable option.

They'll also have to ignore what Admiral Mullen said last week:

"Well, the concern I've had about Guantanamo in these wars is it has been a symbol -- and one which has been a recruiting symbol for those extremists and jihadists who would fight us. ... That's at the heart of the concern for Guantanamo's continued existence," Mullen said on ABC's "This Week."

"Well, I've advocated for a long time now that it needs to be closed. President Obama made a decision very early after his inauguration to do that by next January. And we're all working very hard to meet that deadline," Mullen added.

Hey, boyd -- why don't you just go ahead and throw your petty false assignments at me now so I can address them, instead of waiting until your last post of the night and running away like you usually do.

I'm ready for them. GO!

Goatman-
Or, you could take that chip off of your shoulder and cram it up your ass. And then you could address the topic of this thread.

OUCH! Boyd gets stung!

I guess it was OK for you to go off topic yesterday and ask about McCain on a non-related thread, but I have to stay with the topic.

Got it, boyd.

You may do as you wish, Goatman, but I'm not in the mood to assuage your little personal grudge. Although it seems that all you are capable of lately is being offensive and being offended, it's not my problem. I thought it interesting that both General Petraeus and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs wish the detention facility at Guantanamo to be closed. I posted this thread. I'll see you around.

I'll see you around

Thanks for the warning

Don't know, but I hope there are "gubmit" groups that exist and operate unknown to and independently of any POTUS, particularly to this POTUS, in safeguarding us - reactively and proactively.

then why even bother with elections
