Essentially they were picked up with a bunch of other low level suspects and tossed in the back of a truck with metal panles and no windows. Like Jews on their way to Auschwitz their were no stops for food or water or bathroom facilities. In the intense heat people began passing out, some even died. The three Englishmen survived by licking condensation off the side of the truck. At one point the fact that the people in the back of truck were either dead or dying was presented to an officer in charge. He took an AK-47 and blew some airholes into the truck. Didn't bother taking the prisoners out first, of course. More dead than alive when they got to their first stop on their road to Gitmo.
