Four U.S. contractors affiliated with the company formerly known as Blackwater Worldwide fired on an approaching civilian vehicle in Kabul this month, wounding at least two Afghan civilians, according to the company and the U.S. military. The off-duty contractors were involved in a car accident around 9 p.m. on May 5 and then fired on the approaching vehicle, which they believed to be a threat, according to the U.S. military. At least some of the men, who were former military personnel, had been allegedly drinking alcohol that evening, according to a person familiar with the incident. Off-duty contractors aren't supposed to carry weapons or drink alcohol.

Wow, just like last night on the muzak thread.

Once again Spud is going with "Great minds think alike" rather than "fools seldom differ".

Off-duty contractors aren't supposed to carry weapons or drink alcohol.

Guess when you've spent the last few years in a totally consequence free enviroment shooting at anyone you like, getting away with murder literally, flying renditioned prisoners to secret torture sites and having all yer excesses that get any press covered over with money and lies the idea of adhering to normal rules of human conduct become "quaint" or sommat.

The State department have paid Erik, the Prince of Darkness, almost a trillion dollars by now.

/That we know of.

Imagine that.

Merci. Here's a good piece by Jeremy Scahill on the cover up of the Nissour Square massacre.

a good piece by Jeremy Scahill on the cover up

A good piece indeed. Well worth the bandwidth.

When the FBI finally arrived in Baghdad, some of the Blackwater guards involved in the shooting refused to be interviewed, citing promises of immunity from the State Department. The agency also discovered that the crime scene had been severely compromised. Blackwater would later claim that proof it had been attacked by Iraqis could be found in damage to the company's armored vehicles. Prince said three vehicles sustained gunfire damage and that the radiator on one had been "shot out and disabled." The initial State Department report (written by the Blackwater contractor) alleged one had been "disabled during the attack" and had to be towed from the scene. But when the FBI went to investigate them, Blackwater had already "repaired and repainted them

Luckily, in that case 5 indictments were eventually handed down despite all attempts by BushCo et al to make it go away after a cursory whitewash investigation.

Those indictments were only made possible because of the multiple accounts of a one way slaughterfest and, of course, because one of the Mercenaries was willing to testify against the other 5, none of whom have had their day in court yet.

As to the most current exhibition of reckless criminality by the newly named "Xe" mercenaries in Afghanistan, Rachel Maddow made a tongue in cheek comment on it during a recent show. She noted that Blackwater had been forced to change it's name after the Nissour Square massacre and then she wondered aloud wot new name they were gonna come up with after this latest fiasco.

Spud laughed anyway.

Kinda like when Diebold changed their name to Premier Election Systems.

Same leopard, different colored spots.

Do they really think folks are THAT dumb?

Obviously some of the rtards hereabouts qualify but that's an exception thing not a rule thing, right?

Right?

Be Well.

We need a higher class of mercenary to guard the Empire. Are the Hessians still in business?

We need a higher class of mercenary to guard the Empire.

All we need is one reliable mercenary. Then we can create an army of clones...

So what?

I guess YOU would be able to tell for sure they wern't a threat while they were driving toward you.

You have never wet your lips with a beer and you have never made a mistake when you thought your life was in danger from a bunch of crazies.

We need to clone you and send all of you into a war zone. Hell, lets clone about 150,000 of you.

Off-duty contractors aren't supposed to carry weapons or drink alcohol.

What part of not supposed to drink alcohol don't you comprehend Snippy?

The contractors were trainers hired by Paravant LLC, a subsidiary of Xe. Paravant has terminated contracts with the four men "for failure to comply with the terms of their contract," according to Xe spokeswoman Anne Tyrrell. "Contractual and or legal violations will not be tolerated," she said.

Geez, if Blackwater recognizes a fuck-up, are you really gonna wait for the email telling you Clinton actually did the shooting or recognize the truth?

We need to clone you and send all of you into a war zone. Hell, lets clone about 150,000 of you.

Your wife would like that. She'd be walking like John Wayne, but she'd be smiling like Liberace.
