Robert Murtha, an engineer and owner of Murtech Inc., of Glen Burnie, Md., has in the past denied he has used his family ties to John Murtha, D-Pa., chairman of the House of Representatives appropriations subcommittee that doles out defense spending funds, to benefit himself. But e-mail and other documents obtained by The Washington Post appear to contradict those assertions, the newspaper said Tuesday.

The problem is systemic. How you get R's and D's who are the ones with their claws on the revenue-release levers to reform a system from which they, their relatives and cronies derive so much material benefit is something of a conundrum.

This prick was involved in the ABSCAM affair and dodged a bullet decades ago but the "good people" of his district in PA just keep sending him back to Congress. What could we expect from this miscreant except more of the same kind of activity.

"The problem is systemic."

Hope and change

Good ol' nepotism, works every time.
