Brad Childress is saying that Brett Favre would be the final piece of his rebuilding project in Minnesota. Minnesota fans think Brad Childress is nuts as at best Favre 39 year old arm could last 1 year if survived injury. When I consider rebuilding a team I think of putting players in there that will last from 5 to 9 years for the team. Favre is self centered and only looking out for Brett Favre. He is not what Minnesota fans are looking for. Is the Vikings fail to go after Michael Vick in a big way I will be rooting for the Bears next season.

GO BRETT FAVRE PLAY IF YOU WANT TO. I'd give My Right AND Left nuts to play football with Him if I was worth a shit.

Larry

Larry you arent worth a shit therefore everything you just said makes no sense.

This will be Brad Childress final year as a Head Coach if he puts Favre in there.

Smoochies to You too JoeLabey

Vikings suck. End of story.

I love Brett Favre, but I don't understand Childress's thought process on this one.

The Packers were thinking clearly about the future of the Pack and realized the future didn't hold a quarterback in his late 30's. Smart move on Pack.

Childress isn't thinking clearly.

Sure it does Lisa. Why would You take a chance on a newbie that didn't have a documented work record working for Your team?? Brett Favre has that proven documented work ethic and that's what Childress wants I am sure. Just like some backwards thinking corporations that think about the short term gains than long term. Many of them will fire the Brett Favres and hire a new kid cause they can pay less than what a Brett Favre was making even thoe the Brett Favre of the company was there on time worked hard and put in 200% of the effort, Just because He was "Old"

It's gonna be his last year, Favre or no Favre.

Here's a humorous rant from a Vikes fan.

Brad Childress is not looking past next year and clearly does not understand Favre will cause not only fan decension but cause problems with the team. He is clearly looked on as an outsider who has at best 8 games in him. The Vikings need a top notch QB in his 20's so he can lead the team to multiple playoff games and have a shot at the big one. If favre is hired fans will ask for Brad Childress's head on a plater.

I'm a Giants fan but I lost alot of respect for Favre with the way he handled himself on the Jets last year.

He looked like he didn't give a shit for most of the season and he had a press conference towards the end of the year when the Jets still had an outside shot at the playoffs where he basically said as much. Forget the exact words but I was pissed as a football fan.

His yearly soap opera was already wearing thin before I got to see it live and its even less impressive in person. The media, particularly his fan club at ESPN, created a monster with this guy. He was overrated in his prime and now he's not even good and he acts like a prima donna.

I hope he comes back and then suffers a horrific injury.
