Looking back on the situation it was over hyped.
One sick thing I am hearing about are "swine flu parties" where people are seeking to be infected with the mild strain of H1N1 now to avoid getting infected in the fall should it mutate into something deadly.

Hey, Mexico City shut down. A city of 24 million was turned into a ghost town overnight. If anyone over-reacted, it was the Mexican government.

There's probably gonna be a new strain of this or that bug every month that agencies responsible for public health need to be aware of but the media overplayed it to the public this time. It's too bad cause if next week or month or year THE pandemic of whatever killer virus breaks out people might just shrug it off.
