Only half? Rethink that one. How about adding half of the remaining balance and maybe then some. It seems like everybody has started out with total denial just before a tearful confession and apology. Bwaaaaa!!!

Actually, for those that care, he tested positive for a substance that increases testosterone in order to get his levels back where they should be. Canseco was on the local radio explaining it. So, theoretically, Manny got off steroids years ago, but his system was so f'ed up he needed help to get his levels back to where they should be. Not condoning it, but this is to be expected for those players that abused steroids in the past. I doubt he'll test positive again. Of course, I doubt he'll have a 50 home run season again to, but at least the Dodgers are on the hook for only one more year.

P.S., Padres suck.

There is no clear cut distinction between what type of performance enhancing "thing" is good or bad. It all depends on what the majority feel is right. The extremes are obvious but what about some of the smaller more common things that not everybody has access to:

Could Phelps have won those Swimming Medals without that neat full body suit? Maybe. Maybe not.

Would Tiger Woods be as good as he is wihtout the laser eye surgery? Who knows...

Could Jordan have flows as far without those shoes?

In a certain sense I think the Olympics should go back to the basics where everybody competed naked with nothing to enhance personal performance.

I've said that for a long time...make 2 leagues and watch as the clean league promptly folds because no one cares enough to watch them when they could be watching "murder ball". The real issue is supply and demand.

I have been considering using steroids for a while now due to one of the side affects. This being the shrinking noticeably of the genitals as I have had a lot of trouble packing things away for mere decency. One can only hope they will do enough.
