Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

KBR, the Army's largest contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan, is linked to "the vast majority" of suspected combat-zone fraud cases that have been referred to investigators, as well as a majority of the $13 billion in "questioned" or "unsupported" costs, the Pentagon's top auditor said yesterday. In testimony before the bipartisan Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan, April G. Stephenson, director of the Defense Contract Audit Agency, said investigators have sent to the inspector general a total of 32 cases of suspected overbilling, bribery and other violations since 2004.

War is Hell..

Cheney is the Devil.

Oh come on guys, what is a little graft between friends.

If your going to hell, just keep on going.

She said the firm "in no way condones or tolerates illegal or unethical behavior."

See, you guys were jumping to conclusions for nothing. She just said the company doesn't do dirty deals.

That's a load off my mind. Whew!

If your going to hell, just keep on going.

That's riiiiiight-and could you step a little more lively-please? Your "Suite" is ready for occupancy.
As well-your "Post-Life activities" have already been mapped out for the next few millenia......

Linked to massive fraud.

1:12 is when the ladies car approaches, they shoot her and she slowly impacts another car already stopped in the middle of the road.

1:28 shows some kind of device being tossed into a neighborhood street at random.

All throughout they are manically defending themselves, shooting absently at the hordes of Islamic radicals viciously attacking them from every side.

They are speaking Irish Gaelic, btw.

Big thank you's especially to Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney for contractor competence level "that we got". Heckuva nauseam.

.........she said they don't CONDONE them.....didn't say they don't DO them.......

The reichwing shows its true self again.

another thread on haliburton

and all this time murthas nephew is getting millions on
NO BID CONTRACTS FROM THE MILITARY committee that
UNCLE JOHN IS chairman of...

and fiensteins husband has gotten MILLIONS of military spending and SHE IS ALSO ON committee..but just DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT

so when will you haliburton haters EVER look somewhere else

and by the way...you DO know that haliburton is NOT the biggest company in this business of course

WHERE ARE THE STORIES ABOUT SLUMBURGER.......could it have something to so with cheney not being ever a part of slumberger...>>

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOO

Never mind the aq peepsqueeks, your real enemies are much closer than you think. I guess a multi-billion no bid contract just wasn't enough. If they were wearing lapel pins while pulling off this shit, are they still patriots??

I'm SHOCKED!!! SHOCKED I TELL YOU!

In the words of Kindasleeza, "No one could have forseen......

as soon as someone investigates the murtha issue I have talked about, then this might have legs..
otherwise its just another liberal one sided attempt at demonizing business in order to take it over.

and besides..
any issue that has briwo on its side couldnt be good.

AFKA - You bring up some good and salient points. Why not investigate ALL fraud where evidence points in that direction. This means KBR, Halliburton, or other companies like Schlumberger (which you mentioned).I would find it hard to believe that any American would have an issue with this no matter it be R's or D's, no?

"""as soon as someone investigates the murtha issue I have talked about, then this might have legs.."""

It already has legs man...it's up and running towards an investigation, as the murtha thing should as well. Do you ever put your country before your silly dated political views?

She said the firm "in no way condones or tolerates illegal or unethical behavior."

"Unless we can get away with it."

"She said the firm "in no way condones or tolerates illegal or unethical behavior."

But we keep the money anyway. Once it is mixed in with the rest it is hard to tell which dollars are the dirty ones.

as soon as someone investigates the murtha issue I have talked about, then this might have legs.

When they're done with Murtha, they should look at McCain's selling prime military property to his supporters for pennies in the dollar.

hey why not

haliburton is always talked about because of cheneys PAST dealings and here is schlumberger getting TONS MORE money and they are never mentioned in the media or here which leads me directly to wonder what party thier leaders are in???

but I agree.........look at all of them

When they're done with Murtha, they should look at McCain's selling prime military property to his supporters for pennies in the dollar.

YEAH ALL RIGHT

and while they are doing that..they can look into fienstein and her military commitee shit and reids land deals and keep looking at dodd and rangel and all of the other DEMOCRAT members of the culture of corruption
BUT NO...they focus on onle republicans involved.

Who the fuck is "fienstein"?

I'm a hell of a lot more concerned with this current administration's fraud than I am with Haliburton's subsidiaries.

haliburton is always talked about because of cheneys PAST dealings

Cheney held on to his Halliburton stock and took his $5 million a year pension while VP. Honest politicians put their stock in blind trusts but Cheney refused and said fuck you to America and guys like aflacshaheen said, "More please".

Who the fuck is "fienstein"?

He typoed Feinstein. You couldn't figure that one out, LetUsBray

cheney took ONLY 15 in pension

hell to dems and aig thats chickenfeed

total of bonuses now is at 453 million rather than 120 million

so where are the dem congressmen now spewing all over themselves for the camera??

"When in doubt I'll whip it [dick] out. I got me a rock'n'roll band, its a free for all."

Please explain how Nugent is involved or do you need to slam him for being in favor of the second amendment.

Vice President Dick Cheney's stock options in Halliburton rose from $241,498 in 2004 to over $8 million in 2005, an increase of more than 3,000 percent, as Halliburton continues to rake in billions of dollars from no-bid/no-audit government contracts.

An analysis released by Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) reveals that as Halliburton's fortunes rise, so do the Vice President's. Halliburton has already taken more than $10 billion from the Bush-Cheney administration for work in Iraq. They were also awarded many of the unaccountable post-Katrina government contracts, as off-shore subsidiaries of Halliburton quietly worked around U.S. sanctions to conduct very questionable business with Iran

August 2000: Cheney leaves his position as Halliburton's CEO to run as Bush's Vice President. Halliburton announces that it is giving Cheney a retirement package worth more than $33.7 million.

nor, was that an answer to my question? If it was, you gealy drilled down to Ted in a hurry.

People should be charged with treason over this and if found guilty, should be executed.

We have to read this while Murtha's nephew reaps millions off of no bid contracts with the federal GOVT....

People should be charged with treason over this and if found guilty, should be executed.

If treason is riping off the government, there are many to execute before sun down. We better get started.

#31 | Posted by sully

As should everyone selling their influence. As should any politicians telling our enemies of our strategies.

eerr the messiah

They should stop all non-bid contracts.....unless it is Murtha's nephew.

Maybe everybody worth more than $100 million dollars should be legally presumed guilty of some crime of corruption, and eligible for the death penalty. Then, the burden of proof could be shifted to those people to prove they justly came by such extravagant wealth. The French Revolution may have gone too far, but it sure eliminated a bunch of corrupt, arrogant parasites in the process.

Wait....are yout telling me that Haliburton was ripping off the American public???

this sounds familar, something regarding overbilling hours for the constrcted security comes to mind......

$13 Billion is not a lot of money in Obama Dollars. Look at the TARP Fraud, Auto Bailout Fraud. Your bending over nickles to pick up pennies.

I cant believe that this is getting everyones blood pressure up. $13 Billion is nothing compared to the $10 Trillion Ponzi Scheme called Social Security.

Cheny should have sold his stock as soon as there was a conflct of interest. By holding on to it he was almost certain to look guilty. If he is guilty he should be prosecuted.

In all honesty, while I was there KBR took very good care of us. Most people have no idea just how large of a task this was and there were no other companies that were equiped to take on the challange. Halliburton was the only company who could make it happen that fast. This is why it was a no bid contract.

It is a federal law that both the President and VP must put their investments in a bind trust administered by the GAO

People should be charged with treason over this and if found guilty, should be executed.

What about bho and fienstein letting secrets out?

Then most of the people on welfare need to be executed. Also, all illegals who use our services and do not pay for them.

They should stop all non-bid contracts.....unless it is Murtha's nephew.

Come on hag, tell me how Ted is involved in this. How long are you going to make me wait? doc, jump right in and explain hide somewhere to me.

Wow just look at all the apologists lining up for Dick Vader.

You guys got some running down your chins.

and whenever..if at all..dems were to actually look at themsleves sometimes there might actually be some bipartisan work in bringing corruption to justice..

War profiteering goes beyond simply ripping off the government.

Not that I would expect a bunch of fake patriotic hacks to understand.....

Are you saying no one should make a profit selling goods and services to the military during a war? Now there is a socalistic concept for you.
