The fact is that Israel has given more support to the people on the west bank than any Arab country in terms of food and medical supplies. The punks shooting rockets into Israel now weren't even born in 1948, so its a bit difficult to use that as a motivation. They fight not out of idealism, but ignorance, hopelessness, and hate.

And the primary reason the Palestinians remain poor, illiterate, hopeless, and (dare I say it) useless, is Arabs, not Israelis. The country of Israel exists, it's the only real democracy in the region, and IF the Palestinians had it under their control, it would be a third world, poverty ridden, intolerant, anti-American theocracy. What I always find interesting, is that Jordon, Egypt, Syria, and others within that region complaining about Israel, while doing NOTHING to actually help the Palestinians. That's their demonstrated nature.

There is no Arab claim to the region. There were Jews and Arabs there. The division was supposed to be what was to be the Hashemite Kingdom of Trans-Jordan to the Arabs, and the Jewish State of Israel located Nish-Jordan. The area was previously divided with an allocation of the land, and the Arabs in "Nish-Jordan" are intruders.

There are Arabs now permitted to live in Israel. Just curious, what would be the conditions under which the Jewish population would be permitted to live in Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, you know the quid pro quo in the surrounding countries? The Arabs in Israel are intruders into the Jewish State but nevertheless are full citizens. Soviet involvement in the war was crucial but their Stalinist practices, using peasants to clear minefields for example, made it clear who the real good guys were. It's an idiotic premise. That being, that we should turn the clock back before 1948. IF that were done, the Palestinians would still be one of the most useless cultures on earth. I'm not saying the people are useless, but the culture certainly is.

First of all, the poverty and ignorance that permeates the culture is not Israels' fault, its the people themselves. Face this.. the culture in Israel, is superior to the street rabble nonsense that forms the existing Palestinian culture. Also face this.. the Arab world cares NOTHING for the Palestinian people. Old Snoofy seems to forget that the Western forces and not the soviets destroyed the Ploesti oil fields and the German productive capacity with massive air raids, and the raids that de4cimated populations such as the firebombing of Dresden, certainly demoralized the Germans, and weakened their support for the war.

Did you ever hear of the lend-lease program, Snoofy, and the supplies that the U.S. provided through the Northern ports, Murmansk and the like, to sustain the USSR.

Somehow the efforts of the US and the Western powers are discounted by revisionists.
