A sleeper agent who arrived in the United States a day before Sept. 11, 2001, pleaded guilty yesterday to conspiring with al-Qaeda operatives, revealing new details about his clandestine activities and the danger he posed. Ali Saleh Kahlah al-Marri, 43, faces as many as 15 years in prison when he is sentenced this summer.

Rot in prison you fuck.

With any luck, Chickenchoker can get an adjoining cell.

Clearly Clinton's fault.

Was he water-boarded? If not, when can we expect the nuclear detonation?

Barry would like to release this guy on the streets of America, then apologize to the Muslims and next bow to his Master, The King of Saudi Arabia.

OK, I've seen Jesus, Christian, Catholic & Bible througout this discussion but ironically barely a blip on the radar on Muslims or Islam?

And you would like to turn this country into some sort of fascist dictatorship under the control of Dick Cheney and Rick "Ruhollah" Warren.

Now the lefties can begin producing their apologia for this guy. After all, he was only doing what they would do if they had suffered the oppressive effects of Western culture. And how would you folks obtain retribution for having been born Muslim? Harm non-Muslims, of course.

Apologies and justifications are on the way.

Come on, Corky, in your brevity-wit Polonius mode, advise us why this fellow is a good guy, and why as Americans we should excuse his actions and not be unkind to him or overzealous in punishing him.

And shouldn't we accommodate his religious beliefs and allow him to service four wives during his confinement, which praise Allah, will be a short time? Insh'allah. In the meantime, provide him with a harem so that he does not suffer any slights or inconvenience or have his delicate sensibilities affected as his religion would be slighted.

Maybe he should be helped to overcome his phobias by being fed only pig products. He could even sleep with swine in his cell. Pets. And contact with living things rather than isolation.

Who will receive Presidential pardons and reprieves from Obama?

No, he will pardon terrorists, especially those responsible for the events of 7-11, because liberals love the terrorists.

Jindu the hindu got attacked?

Most of the current followers of the Republican party are terrorist sleeper cells.

My guess is that the next terrorist attack in America will come from some right wing nutjob who overdoses each night on Michael Savage and posts each day under various pseudonyms on internet websites.

Then you'll have alot of other right wing nutjobs calling him a resistance fighter.

-Come on, Corky, in your brevity-wit Polonius mode, advise us why this fellow is a good guy,

Well, for one, he doesn't terrorize these threads with bloviated, anti-intellectual, mostly racist run-on rhetoric. For one thing.

"Barry would like to release this guy on the streets of America, then apologize to the Muslims and next bow to his Master, The King of Saudi Arabia."

Bush was booking flights for Saudis immediately after the attack at a time no Americans were allowed to fly.

That's worse than sucking the Saudi king's cock as far as I'm concerned.

Ironic, imagine charging someone with a crime, prosecuting him, convicting him, sentencing him, imprisoning him....all legally.
But I thought we would only be safe if we illegally imprisoned them without trials, without lawyers, without rights.
Seems America works even though the frightened righties wanted to tear up the constitution and just throw all Muslims in Guantanamo.

"But I thought we would only be safe if we illegally imprisoned them without trials, without lawyers, without rights."

It really isn't that simple. We caught this guy here and was able to collect evidence here.

What jurisdiction do our courts have over someone we picked up in Afghanistan hanging out in an Al Queda camp? What evidence do we have that such a person did anything illegal while at the camp?

Both US and international law has an anacrhonistic approach to terrorism. As long as there are giant loopholes in the law that nobody feels like addresses, there will always be legitimate arguements for dealing with terrorists outside the law.

I am very distrustful of anyone who says "Let them have their day in court" without addresses the fact that our courts can't possibly convict given the tools they have. To me, if you want to send them to court without first fixing the laws, then you just want to let them all go and whether that is due to ignorance or something more sinister doesn't make a difference as the result is the same.

By the way, I realize my grammar is terrible. Sometimes I re-write sentences without changing the verbs accordingly. I'm tired.

So, it's illegal, Danni, to take prisoners off of a battlefield and hold them until the war is over? I just love hearing from you terrorists apologists. You are truly pathetic.

"So, it's illegal, Danni, to take prisoners off of a battlefield and hold them until the war is over?"

No it isn't but that is not what we did in many cases. Many of the Guantanamo inmates were brought to us by private militias who were just doing it for the bounty. We had no idea whether or not some of these people ever did anything. Some as young as 14 and very old too.
I supported the invasion of Afghanistan but today I am doubtful that it was a good strategy. All we really accomplished was to push the Taliban back into Pakistan where they are now causing trouble for our ally. We would have been smarter to have used CIA or special forces and located Al Quaeda and attacked them in precision strikes rather than overthrowing the government, causing total chaos and letting Al Quaeda escape into Pakistan.

"We would have been smarter to have used CIA or special forces and located Al Quaeda and attacked them in precision strikes rather than overthrowing the government, causing total chaos and letting Al Quaeda escape into Pakistan."

The government of Afghanistan (or 80% of it at least) was the Taliban. The Taliban and Al Queda were codependent groups.

Their soldiers were literally fighting alongside each other in the same trenches against the Northern Alliance.

Al Queda was basically a wing of Afghanistan's military - like a foreign legion.

We gave the Taliban the option of handing over their friends and they chose not to. At that point, there was no way to get to Al Queda without smashing the Taliban. Couldn't be done.

What we did wrong was get involved in all this "spreading democracy" nonsense. We should have just left our Northern Alliance allies in charge where we could and set up sympathetic warlords in the remaining areas.

Oh BRAVO the whole article and no mention of the word terrorists!!!!!!!

An al-Qaeda operative. The left saves 'terrorists' for returning Vets and single issue right wingers.

I'm not too keen on the death penalty. It should be reserved for HIGH crimes, mostly acts of treason, war crimes or starving a population. Any crime against the population of the United States should qualify. Wall Street Fraud and planning or executing the WTC attack would qualify. Similarly, the Iraqis should be able to try and execute the Shrub.

Any crime against the population of the United States should qualify.

The death penalty is far too easy. It is much more a punishment to be incarcerated for years or decades than to be put peacefully and painlessly to sleep.

If I was convicted of a capital crime, I would waive all appeals and request to be sent to the death chamber as quickly as possible. I can't fathom anything worse than involuntary incarceration.

How about amputating both arms and legs, putting out both eyes, and removing the tongue?

Lifelong incarceration is fine

Lifelong incarceration is fine.

The article says 15 year maximum (he'll do 8 years).
Nice liberal penal system.

BULLSHIT ! ! !

Your god George W. had 8 years to change it, douchey.

The Illegitimacy of Tortured Confessions and the "Dumbing Down" of the American Public!!!

The FBI has repeatedly said that they have found no connection between Bin Laden's Al Qaeda and the (so called) terrorist attacks of 911!
Just goes to show you how you (the Bush Regime) can "Torture" anyone into admitting "Guilt" for anything!!!
***Also whatever happened to the 5 Israeli Govt.agents who the FBI arrested on a rooftop in New York City on 911 as these Israelis "Videotaped" the airplanes crashing into the WTC towers???????

Funny how the guilty expose themselves.

I wasn't even thinking that, but now that you mention it...

In other words, take them off the battlefield and hold them until the war is over.

How do you know?
